Day 1: Arrival in Hong Kong
Meet your tour leader at Malta International Airport for your flight to Hong Kong with transit. Upon arrival, you are greeted by an Englishspeaking guide and transfer to your hotel, where you settle in after your journey.
Day 2: Hong Kong City Highlights
Explore Aberdeen’s floating villages with a sampan ride, then continue to the upmarket residential district of Repulse Bay Beach. Ascend Victoria Peak for breathtaking views of the skyline. Stroll along Hollywood Road to discover Tai Kwun, a former police station turned cultural hub and visit the historic Man Mo Temple and Cat Street. Later, explore the lively Ladies Market in Mong Kok. Admire the Avenue of Stars, and end the day with a scenic ferry ride across Victoria Harbour.
Day 3: Lantau Island & Big Buddha
Travel to Tung Chung and take a scenic cable car ride to Ngong Ping. Visit the impressive Big Buddha and the Po Lin Monastery, a spiritual haven offering stunning views. Enjoy free time to explore Ngong Ping Village before returning to Hong Kong. Lunch included at a local restaurant.
Day 4: Welcome to Chengdu
Fly to Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province. Visit the tranquil Wenshu Monastery, known for its serene gardens and Buddhist relics. Stroll through the surrounding district, experiencing Chengdu’s relaxed tea-drinking culture and vibrant local life.
Day 5: Leshan & Huanglongxi Ancient Town
Embark on a full-day excursion to Leshan, home to the world’s largest stone-carved Buddha, standing at 71 meters tall and carved into a cliff. Later, visit Huanglongxi Ancient Town, famous for its well-preserved Qing Dynasty streets, wooden houses, and historic bridges. Lunch included at a local restaurant.
Day 6: Pandas & Chengdu’s Old Streets
Start your day at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, where you can observe pandas up close in a natural-like environment. Later, visit Renmin Park for a traditional teatasting experience, followed by a walk through the historic Kuanzhai Alley and the lively Jinli Old Street, lined with street food stalls and artisan shops. Lunch included at a local restaurant.
Day 7: Arrival & Exploration in Shanghai
Fly to Shanghai, China’s vibrant financial hub. Visit Yuyuan Garden, a classical Chinese garden with ornate pavilions and tranquil ponds that date back to the Ming Dynasty. Explore the Old Town before taking in the stunning skyline views of Pudong from the historic Bund waterfront. Lunch included at a local restaurant.
Day 8: Modern & Historic Shanghai
Ascend the Shanghai Tower, the tallest building in China, for a breathtaking view of the city. Visit the Jade Buddha Temple, home to two exquisite white jade Buddha statues. Take a relaxing Huangpu River cruise to admire the city’s contrast of colonial architecture and futuristic skyscrapers. Walk along Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s bustling shopping street, before ending the day in the stylish Xin Tian Di district. Lunch included at a local restaurant.
Day 9: Suzhou & Tongli Water Town
Take a full-day trip to Suzhou, the "Venice of the East," known for its canals, gardens, and silk heritage. Explore the ancient water town of Tongli, one of six famous water towns south of the Yangtze River, where you will enjoy a scenic boat ride along its winding canals. Visit the beautifully designed Tuisi Garden and the historic Net Master Garden, both showcasing classic Chinese landscaping.
Day 10: A Day in Hangzhou
Hangzhou, renowned for its scenic beauty. Take a serene boat ride on West Lake, surrounded by lush greenery and pagodas that have inspired poets, artists, and photographers throughout history. Visit a tea plantation in the Longjing region, famous for its high-quality green tea. Admire the panoramic views from Leifeng Pagoda before strolling through the bustling Hefang Street, lined with traditional shops and eateries.
Day 11: Departure from Shanghai
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight, marking the end of your journey through China and Hong Kong.
