Reece I decided to film the piece in an interior place because I wanted to film the school. I chose to film in the BLC room, A14 and the Church. I used the BLC room because this room is small and intense and therefore I could capture the intensity of the interview and zoom in on the faces in order to show the facial expressions of the interviewer and the candidate. In the BLC, there are big windows, which meant that I could use the sunlight in order to create a natural effect. For the ambient noise, it is a quiet and peaceful room. It is very near because it is in the school. In the BLC room, there are some computers along the table with some chairs. To make sure the computers are safe, you need to check there is water on the table and also put the chairs under the table properly so people don’t trip. There are tables with some chairs in the middle and so I would make sure the room is safe and the chairs are under the table properly. Furthermore there is a sofa next to the wall and this is very safe as it is right at the edge of the room. I am allowed to do the filming because I asked permission. The next place I filmed in was A14. I chose to film it here as it is an interior place and I wanted to film a classroom. Although the room was quite dark, we turned on the light in order to make the room as bright as possible, which would help any shadows being created in the photos. When I took the photo, it was quite noisy because I did it during lunchtime, which meant lots of girls were around talking, doing their homework and checking their homework. The weather was quite sunny and this was good as it made the pictures look even lighter. There weren’t any problems with transport as everything was contained within the school making it very easy to transfer the crew and equipment to this room. There were various safety hazards as there were lots of chairs, tables and computers around the room. These did cause an obstruction, however they could not be moved as it is quite a narrow room. Therefore, we needed to be careful so that no-one fell over and hurt themselves. The final place I filmed was the church. I chose to film it here as my school is a Church of England School and therefore it is an integral part of the school. The church is quite a dark location as it is a place of reflection, however this added to the atmosphere. It is also a very big and therefore are not many windows in comparison to its capacity. This contrasted with the other two locations, which were set in the school. In general, there was not much noise in the church as everyone was respectful and listening, however as soon as someone made it noise it echoed through the whole church due to the acoustics and tall ceilings. The weather had no effect on the filming as the church is an enclosed building with few windows and therefore we had to use artificial light. The transport for this location was slightly more difficult as we had to get everything outside the school, outside the gate and into the church, however it was done with ease. It was very safe to film it in the church because all the pews were in order but I needed to make sure that no-one tripped over any cables.
