ľ D^Zĝ^U St Mary’s University is located near to Teddington, Twickenham, Richmond and Kingston. Its campus and size mean that it truly is a community university! We offer a hugely diverse range of courses – our 4 schools consist of Education, Theology & Leadership, Sport, Health and Applied Science, Arts and Humanities and Management and Social Science. We’re particularly well-known for our Education and Sport schools – as a Catholic institution our Theology department offers o one of the country’s leading courses, and our PGCE and Education courses are internationally renowned. The University has approximately 6,000 students and nearly 800 bedrooms on campus. Our students have a varied range of interests - sports are a particularly common one. Our clubs and societies have over 1,000 members, and our West London Varsity event in which we compete with Brunel University is becoming bigger and better every year. As a union, it’s our job to represent our students and enrich their university experience through everything that we do! We support our students, ensure that their welfare is looked after and provide them with entertainments via our clubs and societies and events. We’re in constant contact with our students, and online have over 7,000 likes and follows on Facebook and Twitter – this figure is increasing fast, too. Welcome Fortnight in September is the first fortnight of the year for our new students, and we start off as we mean to go on with a whole load of fun activities, social meet-ups and nights out! Within this two week period there are countless opportunities for you to advertise your business! Last year, over the course of the event there was an estimated footfall of 15,000!

The West London Varsity in March is our yearly sporting contest against St Mary’s biggest rivals, Brunel. The 2017 event will be played on Brunel‘s campus. In 2016 we had unprecedented amounts of St Mary’s support, with over 700 Brunel students also attending. We also won! In addition to Varsity, we hold the annual Sports Clubs Awards Dinner at the end of the same week. This is a 3-course meal with awards which celebrates the past year of achievement in sport at St Mary’s.

)9 .62, ,1: )/ SIMMStock is our very own outdoor music festival. It’s held in April each year and for this event we invite established and local musicians to campus to play, while food vendors and stalls from around the world are set up around our two outdoor stages. Once the fun of the day has finished and the sun’s gone in, we move the party indoors to the Students’ Union Bar and Lounge! Last year, 1,000 students attended the event.

The Summer Ball combines a fun-fair, acoustic stage, silent disco and a casino with a high-profile headline act thrown in for good measure! 1,250 students attended last year. yea The Boat Party consists of 620 of our students going on a cruise along the Thames which starts at Tower Pier. The Boat goes around all of the sights of London with a DJ and drinks on board, dropping the students back at Tower Pier later in the afternoon.

In addition to all of this, we can also accomodate your stalls from 9am - 5pm on campus during the week. You’ll be provided with a table on the Shannon Corridor, which is the busiest in the University (outside the canteen).

We produce numerous programmes and handbooks throughout the year to help publicise our events which we could put your advertisements in. Alternatively we can put you on our wall-planner, which is posted to every bedroom on campus and given out free at every university open day and at the Studentsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; Union shop. j 8 D= Ä? Äž)Q The St Maryâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Welcome Fair generates a huge buzz every year. Having a stall at the event will give you a chance to talk to potential clients, distribute flyers and samples and make sure that youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re one of the first companies that our students meet on their journey jou through university life! This yearâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Welcome Fair is happening on Thursday 15th September 2017 from 11am - 3pm in the Studentsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; Union Building. Last year we experienced footfall of around 2,000, and this number is growing every year! All companies attending will be provided with a table and chairs, along with a space to set up any promotional materials. Weâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve created a pricing structure for different spaces as they will experience different footfall - there are four different kinds of stand at Welcome Fortnight on offer. These are detailed below and on the next page! If you want a stand at the Fair, our applications deadline is Friday 26 August.

K&(( U Ă? )9 :32 41> Gold stands have the best placement and footfall of all of the stands at the Fair. Theyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ll be the first stands that our students encounter after entering! Gold stands cost ÂŁ500 + VAT for the day, and youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ll be provided with power.

K'(( U Ă? )9 :32 41> All of our Silver stands will be located in the SU Lounge, which is very close to the entrance to the Welcome Fair. Silver stands cost ÂŁ400 + VAT for the day.

K"(( U Ă? )9 :32 41> Most of our Bronze stands are located in the Marquee, which is situated at the back of the SMSU Bar where the students enter the fair. The others will be at the back of the SU Lounge. Bronze stands cost ÂŁ300 + VAT for the day.
D^Z DDQÄ?UZÄž> K &( U Ă? )9 :32 41> Our outdoor stands will be located outside the Studentsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; Union building, an area which will have good footfall throughout the day. Outdoor stands are required to bring their own gazebos in case of rain. Outdoor stands cost ÂŁ250 + VAT for the day, and power will not be provided.

Our students use our website (stmaryssu.co.uk) to keep up to date with us and we can advertise your business on here. We can also send a personalised mail-out from your company (f(from our smsu@stmarys.ac.uk email) to all students on your behalf.
