Water Treatment Training

To support plumbing students, Fernox is working alongside Cambridge Regional College to provide technical advice and product training.

TF1 Omega Filter C ambridge Regional College (CRC), renowned for its quality educational programmes, has just launched its Level 3 City & Guilds Plumbing and Domestic Heating apprenticeship. The course places emphasis on the importance of delivering energyefficient buildings and understanding modern, innovative product solutions that can be applied to achieve this aim.

> SUPPORTING THE STUDENTS To support the students’ learning, leading water treatment manufacturer Fernox has supplied CRC with a comprehensive range of products. Students will learn how the Fernox TF1 Sigma Filter and TF1 Omega Filter can be easily installed to comply with BS 7593:2019 and collect sludge or debris within the system thereby stopping it from circulating and causing damage to system components. The Fernox ‘F’ and Express range of water treatment products offer a failsafe solution to central heating system protection and maintenance, that can protect a system of up to 130 litres (or 16 radiators) and help installers avoid the risk of under-dosing. Speaking on the donation, Matthew Travell, Plumbing Lecturer at CRC commented: “We have worked with Fernox for many years and the team has always supported us to ensure that students can receive quality education. We are delighted that Fernox has extended its support to supply quality products for our Level 3 plumbing apprenticeship qualification.” Andy Kaye, Area Sales Manager at Fernox said: “We are delighted to support Cambridge Regional College and its Level 3 plumbing apprenticeship.
