Love your big Sister,
I can’t believe you are graduating. It seems like just yesterday that you were playing power rangers, or with barbies while dancing around to N’Sync music. You went from my bratty little sister, to someone I now consider a best friend. I am so lucky to have a sister like you. You make me so proud, and I know you make Mom proud each and every day. She is looking down on you smiling, seeing the wonderful person you have grown into. Go out and live your life to the fullest and just be happy! Remember-”Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you’ll land among the stars!”
Congratulations Tari!

Tari, remember the coffee breaks at treats at Shorty’s in Selby and up here, in Mandan. When Robin worked at Target, your Mom and I would go shopping and Grandpa Willie would take you to Target for coffee. You would have a soft pretzel and water. One time Robin came by and he had pop. He gave you a drink of it and after that you didn’t want water you wanted pop. Love, Gramma Fronie Meier

Life is filled with both, good times and hiccups. You know, that’s what makes life worth living. I leave with you Lessons Life Has Taught Me. This is a post I have on my wall at work. I read it almost every day. If I’m having a good day, I learn from it. If I’m having a bad day, I learn from it. As you go through life, if I can share some advice, two of the most important things to learn is to love yourself and to forgive yourself. Carry on. Go far. Reach achh for ac foo the stars. Peace ttoo yyou!
Eighteen years have quickly passed and you are now graduating. Your mom is smiling and watching you. I’m sure she is very proud, as I am along with many other of your dear family and friends. You are indeed a blessing to those you touch. I know there are good things for you in your future and you will go far.
As the years passed, I watched you grow to become a beautiful, young lady and with each passing year, you held onto that beautiful smile and your bright blue eyes. I call that the Tari signature!
I was very pleased when your parents asked me to be your God Mother, but became a bit nervous when I found out your Uncle Dan was going to be your God Father! I knew all the responsibility was going to rest on my shoulders to have you raised as a responsible, good Christian ‘cause we all knew that Dan was a bit on the devious side!
I know you have been waiting and dreaming for this day to come…..and now here it is at last! I am really going to sound like an old lady, but that’s ok. I remember so well when you were born. Tami had to spend the night with us because back then your grandparents lived in Selby. So, your mom and dad showed up at our house to leave Tami with us and your mom’s cheeks were rosy and she looked as if she was out of breath, and needless to say, they were anxious to get to the hospital – a baby was on the way! I will never forget that phone call that announced you were born. “We have another girl,” your dad announced, “and we are naming her Tari.” What a blessing! And now the moment is taking my breath away!

Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good. When in doubt, just take the next small step. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present. It’s OK to let your children see you cry Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don’t worry; God never blinks. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special. Over prepare, and then go with the flow. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple. The most important organ is the brain. No one is in charge of your happiness, except you. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: “In five years, will this matter?” Always choose life. Forgive everyone everything. What other people think of you is none of your business. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch. Believe in miracles. God loves you because of whom God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now. Growing old beats the alternative--dying young. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. The best is yet to come. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and show up. Yield. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.

Once upon a time in a town called Mandan. There lived a girl named Tari. Now I don’t know if you know this, but she probably has some of the coolest friends you will ever meet! Anyways, they woke up one morning, and realized they were seniors, at Mandan High, and wow was it crazy. They started off the with Homecoming.. Pretty fun I guess, except for the principal, who did not like the seniors, and decided to not let them have red shirts. Now another thing you need to know about Tari’s friends is, they do not like rules, but then again what senior does. Anyways they decided to make their white senior shirts red. So one night they went over to Brandi’s house. There their did the unthinkable. With a can of red spray paint in hand they attacked those white shirts and turned them red. Once they started they couldn’t stop, they moved from the shirts to the trees and then from the trees to each other haha just kidding. But anyways it was a lot of fun. It’s a proven fact that Tari will never like wearing dresses. But for her 18th birthday her friends talked her into buying a dress and wearing it out to eat. This was torture, Tari refused almost any dress her friends pushed onto her. Finally at Herbergers she found the perfect dress. It was black and pink and fit perfectly. And even better her daddy payed for it. On her birthday, Tari and her friends went to Johnnie Carinos and ate amazing food and even more amazing free dessert. After eating they all decided to go back to Stephanies and hang out. There they began a mad game of catch phrase. You could probably consider it the most intense catch phrase game that has ever been played. In the end they decided that nobody one and it was a tie.

And would you call those friends you never see? Reminisce old memories? Would you forgive your enemies? And would you find that one you’re dreaming of Swear up and down to God above That you’d finally fall in love if today was your last day?
If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday? Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past? Donate every dime you had?
So do whatever it takes ‘Cause you can’t rewind a moment in this life Let nothing stand in your way ‘Cause the hands of time are never on your side
If today was your last day Would you make your mark by mending a broken heart? You know it’s never too late to shoot for the stars Regardless of who you are
And would you call those friends you never see? Reminisce old memories? Would you forgive your enemies? And would you find that one you’re dreaming of? Swear up and down to God above That you’d finally fall in love if today was your last day?
If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday? Would you live each moment like your last? Leave old pictures in the past? Donate every dime you had?
Against the grain should be a way of life What’s worth the price is always worth the fight Every second counts ‘cause there’s no second try So live like you’re never living twice Don’t take the free ride in your own life
If today was your last day and tomorrow was too late Could you say goodbye to yesterday? Would you live each moment like your last Leave old pictures in the past? Donate every dime you had, if today was your last day? What if, what if, if today was your last day?
