It’s time once again for the annual celebration that is VA PrideFest, and we’re tremendously excited to once again collaborate with VA Pride for the official Pride Guide! With a theme of “This Is Me,” this year’s PrideFest will take place on Saturday, September 22 at Brown’s Island, and our Pride Guide will be distributed for free to all attendees. The guide will contain all the info you need to get the most out of VA PrideFest 2018 -- maps, schedules, a breakdown of all the unique talents hitting multiple stages, and a guide to the excellent food and beverages available on site.
But that’s not all we have to offer with this issue. We’ll also be covering the many facets of Virginia’s complex and diverse LGBTQ community -- discussing serious issues that face us in the current political environment, learning about the many things community members are doing to make the world we all live in a better place, and getting a bird’s eye view on the artistic and musical endeavors that we use to showcase our Pride!
