We snowboard for the freedom to do and not think, to ride in the moment, to fly farther than we thought we could. The way that we move down the mountain is an expression of ourselves—everyone takes a slightly different line. Roxy boards and bindings are designed to celebrate the individuality of snowboarding. Each element of our carefully designed boards and bindings is carefully crafted to complement different experience levels, riding styles and terrain preferences so that everyone from backcountry explorer to the girl dedicated to park laps to the beginner who’s stoked to cruise groomers has a setup that’s just right for their ride. When you’re on the board and bindings that are made for you, the mountain sets you free to find your line.

THE MOST DEFINING FACTOR
BIO MATERIAL EXCLUSIVE TO ROXY More lightweight than fiberglass, this renewable organic fiber has inherent vibration dampening properties and improved elasticity compared to other fibers commonly used in snowboards. Plus a Clear Bio Bean topsheet with peek-a-boo windows to the core, which also adds dampening. Introduced in the TORAH BRIGHT and RADIANCE.
The core is the most defining factor of a snowboard. Its shape, type of wood, and contour determine how the board will ride and respond to varying conditions. When designing snowboards for women, lighter is always better because it makes the board more agile and easier to maneuver. We looked for a variety of the lightest wood cores we could find and came up with three different cores that made the grade. Fast growing, sustainable, farmed timbers that include FSC certified wood.

Long before it was cool to care about sustainability, Mervin co-founders Mike Olson and Pete Saari knew they wanted to do more than create good snowboards. Always seeking better materials and new ways to improve production processes, they ensure that the Mervin factory continues to be a healthy workplace that’s easy on Mother Nature and our workforce of snowboarders, skateboarders and surfers. With Mervin’s sustainability practices constantly raising the bar, no other snowboard factory in the world compares.
1. Always Recyling S i l k s c re e n e d b a s e m a te r i a l ca n ’ t b e recycled so we use a sublimation process that allows us to properly recycle all of our excess top and base material. Since recycling was discontinued residentially, our recycle bins are available to local residents and e m p l oye e s fo r a l l t y p e s of d a i l y plastics , various papers , aluminum and g l a s s . A l l to g e t h e r w e re c y c l e o v e r seven to ns per m o nth .
4. Drop Beans Not Bombs Mike Olson, our experiMENTAL Division Leader, loves beans! When he’s not eating them, he’s turning them into bio-plastic topsheets. Our boards feature an innovative, earth-friendly bio-plastic top skin made from beans that features the highest strength-toweight ratio of any topsheet in the industry.
2. Size Doesn’t Matter We don't waste odd sized wood—our finger joiner can use what would normally be throwaway core pieces. These cores are actually stronger at the joint than regular wood, resulting in almost no waste wood and poppy, powerful boards.

5. Safe, Clean, Healthy We use the safest possible epoxy resin systems with minimal VOCs (volatile organic compounds), as well as soy-based elastomer on our sidewalls instead of toxic ABS. And forget harmful solvents— we use water-cleansed grinding systems to minimize airborne particulate levels and we clean house with citrus-based solvents instead.

Down with Toxic Lacquer Clear Coats Instead of silkscreening, we sublimate our graphics, which eliminates the need for the cancer causing, toxic automotivelacquer gloss coats you see on many sh i n y s n o w b o a r d t o p s h e e t s . I n k s u s e d fo r p r i n t i n g a re w a te r b a s e d (not so lvent based).
Heart Cores come from a long history of responsible practices and a whole lot of heart. For years, we have devotedly used renewable, fast-growing farmed wood, FSC Certified and locally sourced where possible, and shaped in our very own core shop. A soil and compost operation is conveniently located right next door to Mervin, which is where all our saw dust ends up so it can be recycled as soil additive. Scrap wood is donated as kindling.

SHAPES TRUE TWIN The nose and tail are symmetrical, with equal length and width from the center of the board. The board rides equally amazing both regular and switch, and excels all over the mountain and in the park.
DIRECTIONAL TWIN Between the contact points the board measures a true twin, but the nose above the contact point is slightly higher and longer than the tail. This allows the board to float in powder or choppy snow and still feel consistent when riding switch.
LN: LESS NARROW WAIST WIDTHS Slightly wider waist widths than your average women’s board, for girls who want or need a little more foot room. It’s also great for any freestylers looking for Cadillac turns and stompability (Ally BTX 155)
BOARD TECH SNOWBOARD GEOMETRY XC2 BANANA TRACTION, XC2 BTX A formula of C2 with a shorter Banana (rocker) between the bindings and extended, more aggressive, camber on the tip and tail. This puts more camber under foot which increase tip/tail pressure. That extra solid pressure gives you more power for bigger pop and high speed turns and confidence when you're bombing icy slopes or a fresh field of powder. (Torah Bright)
