NANOLITE KONIC TECHNOLOGY K2 Konic Technology with Nanolite is found in K2’s Freeride Pinnacle collection. It is a super lightweight, low-density aerospace grade composite core that runs through the center and extremities of the ski to reduce swing weight for added maneuverability and control.

Why Swing Weight Matters

Swing weight is the ski’s rotational mass.

The greater swing weight, the more torque required to rotate the ski. Without compromising the stabilty of a wider platform in our Freeride skis, reducing the swing weight lessons the amount of energy required to turn the ski.

With three different last options, from a narrow low volume (LV) 97mm, standard 100mm, high volume (HV) 102mm, or a 103mm “Comfort” last, your foot shape no longer dictates the performance of your boot.

2. HYBRID LINERS: Built with a heat moldable foam lower and a traditional cuff for the best of both worlds, custom fit and great power transfer.

3. MOLDED AND LASTED LINERS: PrecisionFit and LuxFit liners are molded and lasted to ensure the best out of box fit.

Heel hold is essential to a great fit and function. Our four last options grow in the forefoot but the heel pocket does not grow proportionally to ensure a better, more secure fit.

Narrower waist widths tend to be more nimble, while the wider waist widths provide more float and side-to-side stability.

• Tapered Tip/Tail - A design feature that shifts the contact points with the snow toward the midsole of the ski, reducing deflection in the tip and easing turn release in the tail.

CONSTRUCTION

Hybrid- This unique construction features the best of both In-Mold and Hard-Shell constructions. The primary In-Mold construction makes the helmet incredibly light, while the secondary Hard-Shell upper allows for more advanced Active Matrix Venting and increased durability. (figure 1)

• In-Mold- In-Mold is the premium construction for ultra-lightweight performance and is characterized by an EPS liner that is molded directly to a lightweight poly-carbonate (PC) shell. The result is a construction so light you’ll forget it’s even there. (figure 2) • Hard Shell- Hard-Shell helmets are built to last and will look good no matter how many trips they make in and out of your gear bag. Rip Cord Grip System- Safety releasable strap mechanism integrated into grip top.

Unique lightweight cored out grip and strap design removes material where possible. Utilizing a 3D molded urethane right/left strap for comfort and ease of entry. LockJaw 6000 - Completely redesigned with a T6 6000 series aluminum lever and body linked together with Teflon bushings to optimize clamp force with minimum lever pressure.
