This includes Head’s take on combined camber, DCT, from which a rider can muster the response and precision of camber and the smoothness of flat camber; and Framewall - the world’s first 3D sidewall – which improves the torsional performance of a board as well as delivering supreme power distribution to the board’s edges. The Frame Wall is the latest innovation resulting from the HEAD intelligence loop. Making the product better, HEAD’s engineers and pro riders were seeking for a solution to address the issue of unbalanced distribution of edge pressure.

Comparing to traditional sidewall constructions, the unique FRAMEWALL evenly distributes applied edge pressure from tip to tail, while eliminating pressure peaks underneath the binding areas. Better power distribution along the edges results in more balanced turns and improved edge grip without needing to invest higher efforts into riding.

While sidewalls are covered and therefore stiffened by different kind of laminates top and bottom, our all new FRAMEWALL is wider and only partly overlapping with the top layers of the board construction. Hence, the FRAMEWALL’s exposed top edges can flex more freely to the upside with the effect that disturbing vibrations and micro-shocks get filtered and leveled out.

Features

The Force i. KERS is a progressive all-mountain freestyle machine, endowed with regular camber and a high-end directional twin shape, on which the bindings are set back by 1cm. It is packed with performance enhancing features, like the 40mm Basalt stringers on top and base for smooth pop, KERS chips in the tip and tail for stability and a sintered base for sick speed off the blocks. For these reasons it is the board of choice of team rider Tom Klocker, and features artwork by his tattoo artist Sandor Pongor.

The result is a freeride backpack that provides as much security and functionality as you could ever wish for. The PEAK FELLOW is the ideal accessory for backcountry use. In addition to storage space for avalanche emergency equipment, including a shovel, a probe and a first-aid kit, the packsack’s ABS® compatibility offers yet more safety on insecure terrain. The ABS® system is a TÜV-approved airbag system that can save you from being buried in an avalanche. Pull the handle and the ABS® twin bags are pyrotechnically and pneumatically activated, inflating to full size in a split second. The inflated ABS® twin bags provide additional dynamic lift in a flowing avalanche, and help skiers and snowboarders to stay on top of the avalanche. The separately available ABS® VARIO BASE UNIT can be zipped onto the HEAD PEAK FELLOW packsack in just a few steps. CAMBER DCT The DCT shape is a evolution of our classic CAMBA shape. The DCT shape has Camba under the bindings and a flat part between the bindings combined with a more narrow waist and a more aggressive sidecut in this area for sharpe turns and quicker initiation of rotation during the take off on big kickers. In effect allowing the binding to float on a cushioned EVA buffer, our all-new Dampiflex system is the kind of technical innovation that defines Head Snowboards. It gives extra dampening for taking the sting out of landings and reducing chatter at speed, and importantly allows the board to flex more naturally to improve precision and control on every type of camber. The result? Finally, you can unleash your board’s true potential.

Our asymmetrical strap provides more lateral support in areas where needed, while the medial side of the strap allows more flexibility for greater performance. Stiffer padding on the lateral side gives a strong support and offers a direct input into the equipment in conjunction with some softer padding on the medial side.

This system combines the unrivaled ankle strap of our conventional strap-in bindings with the simplicity in handling of reclining highback systems. No need to mess around with both hands, fast and tight with one-handed operation.

Our lightweight poplar core combined with 2 bamboo stringers in the center also covering the insert area gives the board a very poppy feeling. Another benefit is the added strenght and a more stiffer feeling but without loosing the liveliness of the board.

SHORTtail CAMBA Camba is Head’s traditional camber profile. The board is convex from the tip and tail contact points to an apex in the center of the board, which delivers optimum power transfer for pop and intense manouverability and grip.

THERMOFIT PRO This liner dispenses with lower lacing (not needed because of IPS and Hybrid lacing on the shell) to eliminate pressure points and give even easier entry and exit without compromising on fit. It is custom heat moldable, the lining is made of natural antimicrobial Bamboo charcoal and there’s a 3D molded insole with a solid heelcup to prevent heel movement and give proper arch support.

POWER TRANSMISSION POCKET Fine-tune the liner’s toebox volume by adding/removing EVA pads to the Power Transmission Pocket. It provides great support for the toes when doing heelside turns.

TOE WIDTH ADJUSTMENT A velcro strap around the toebox allows you to adjust its width to avoid slipping in the boot if you have a narrow foot. Pull out the liner, tighten the strap according to your needs and step into the boot again. You will feel the difference.

A Collar Velcro strap allows you to crank it tight for direct power transmission and the triple density insole has a strong heelcup, significant arch support and a shock pad in the heel. Like Head teammates Klocker, Evensen and Schmidt, Alex Tank lays it down for the Isenseven crew and if you want proof of his technical abilities then look no further than Fool´s Gold and GIVIN TOO. Alex is responsible for the design of the Evil Flocka, which he complements with NX Five DF bindings and the Team Boa Hybrid boots.

If you’re a fan of Isenseven, then Tom Klocker will be no stranger. Hailing from Hippach, Austria he likes nothing more than banging hammers off booters in the park and backcountry but is also not adverse to a little street action. Together with his tattoo artist Sandor Pongor, Tom came up with the design of his chosen ride, the Force i. Kers. He also rides the NX Five DF bindings with the Team Boa Hybrid boot.
