This unique construction features the best of both InMold and Hard-Shell constructions. The primary In-Mold construction makes the helmet incredibly light, while the secondary Hard-Shell upper allows for more advanced Active Matrix Venting™ and increased durability.

In-Mold is the premium construction for ultra-lightweight performance helmets and is characterized by an EPS liner that is molded directly to a lightweight poly-carbonate (PC) shell. The result is a construction so light you’ll forget it’s even there.

The majority of time in an avalanche rescue is spent on excavating the victim. An airbag is intended to keep you at or near the surface, provide additional trauma protection and minimize excavation time. For the introduction of airbags in the 2014/15 collection, K2 teamed up with BCA to integrate the proven float system into the highest quality packs designed for the K2 Skier or Snowboarder. •The float systems use 2,700psi compressed air, a single-chamber airbag and a patented super-efficient venturi system. •Positioning of airbag behind the head and away from the hips and arms allows for clear peripheral vision to aid in escaping the slide. •Compressed air cylinder is easily refillable at any of K2/BCA’s 165 certified refill locations. •Airbag is re-packable by the user after deployment.

DESIGN THAT STARTS WITH SOFT SNOW Soft snow turns are different. Turns and control comes from not only carving but also pushing and displacing snow. A different turn requires a different shape. With a longer tip blend and delayed initiation of the sidecut, our new BC shaping eliminates the over steering that can come form traditional hard snow based design.

The Ollie Bar is a totally new approach to adding pop to a snowboard. Built in place in a pre-loaded, cambered shape it solves the concern that rocker board don’t have the pop camber boards have.

LONGER TIP BLENDZONE This feature allows for a smoother and more controlled line. By initiating a turn on the blend as opposed to on the sidecut, the board is less hooky with less over steering COMPACT SIDECUT Weighting the center of the board engages the rocker specific sidecut of the BC shaping. This now shorter length sidecut (not shorter radius) locks a turn and keeps control at any speed or on any snow pack.

Made with a secret lay up of carbon, Kevlar and glass layers, the ollie bar is positioned in the center of the board between the binding inserts. Focused on durability, weight reduction, grip and Harshmellow dampness, it just doesn’t get any better than the Pro-Light outsole.

GRIP-LIGHT OUTSOLE Designed to be as light as possible without sacrificing durability by pairing lightweight Phylon as the main body of the sole with targeted areas of rubber and super cush Harshmellow.

STREET-LIGHT OUTSOLE Designed to be as light as possible and have maximum traction. Constructed of a full perimeter of rubber and an interior of blown rubber that removes weight. Lark snow clearing lugs in the center for grip while you hike any rail, kicker or cliff drop.

PHY-LIGHT OUTSOLE This all Phylon with Harshmellow outsole has been formulated in a harder durometer. The result is the excellent weight savings of Phylon but with durability normally only seen in rubber outsoles.

RUBBER LIGHT OUTSOLE Full rubber bottom for maximum grip and durability. Paired with a lightweight, cush EVA mid sole for lightweight performance.
