SPRING
Spring sees the launch of five entirely new fabric designs, with two printed linens taking their inspiration from 19th century floral patterns in Soane’s textile archive, held in our Pimlico Road showroom attic.
The well-established families within Soane’s furniture and lighting collections are also seeing new additions: counter height stools for modern kitchens are making an appearance within the ‘Argo’ collection with their characteristic twisted brass legs, and also within the finely woven ‘Rattan Loggia’ design. An often requested addition to our collection of tables is a faithful copy of an elegant late 19th century tray on a foldable wooden stand.

The most significant addition to our lighting collections is the Rattan Scallop Hanging Light which combines elements of two of Soane’s most enduring designs. It is woven in two sizes and is a pared back alternative to the generously curvaceous Daisy Hanging Light.

Other introductions to our lighting designs include variations of the classic beaten brass Scallop Light. As well as an incarnaton of the Shell Wall Light which is designed to be used with a glass hurricane shade and candles both inside and in covered areas outdoors. Every detail has been meticulously developed and includes a charming and finely worked shell motif sitting discretely below the shade.
Completing the new additions is the wallpaper pattern ‘Berlioz’, based on a French pattern in one of Soane’s old Mulhouse pattern books from the 1830s and evocative of the romantic, rhythmic nature of the composer’s music.
