THE HOLLYWOOD Bowl begins its second century with a gala program June 10 featuring Janet Jackson and the following weekend, June 17-18, the Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival with host Arsenio Hall. The Beach Boys join the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra for fireworks spectaculars July 2-4. Music and artistic director Gustavo Dudamel leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic 10 evenings in July. He’s joined by movie maestro John Williams
July 7-9; the Los Angeles Master Chorale and vocal soloists including soprano Angel Blue for Verdi’s Requiem on July 11; and Grammy-winning Mexico City-based indie rockers Café Tacvba
July 21-22. The KCRW Festival kicks off July 23 with Reggae Night XXI. A 90th-birthday tribute to Quincy Jones with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra takes place July 28. “Everybody Rise!
