WESLACO SHINES: Historic done show, celebrations, and leadership initiatives

Weslaco is making history! Mayor Adrian Gonzalez, the city commission, and the EDC put on one of the Rio Grande Valley’s first-ever Independence Day drone shows, dazzling the community. Mayor Adrian Gonzalez, Hidalgo County Commissioner David Fuentes, Lone Star National Bank, H-E-B, and Bert Ogden Arena hosted a spectacular Taylor Swift tribute for the Weslaco High School Lady Panthers Softball State Champions, drawing over 1,300 attendees. Additionally, Mayor Gonzalez and Commissioner Josh Pedraza joined other valley leaders in an RGV Partnership press conference to discuss their visit to Washington, D.C., where they strengthened ties with federal officials. Weslaco leadership and Weslaco EDC also represented the city at a Las Vegas convention, aiming to attract more businesses to our vibrant area, and the Weslaco Chamber proudly graduated another Leadership Academy class, showcasing our commitment to developing future leaders.
