El paseo arts foundation back on stage

There is so much to do when you visit the Island, including live theater. Now in its 17th season, the El Paseo Arts Foundation brings concerts, plays, and dance to the South Padre Island community.

“We have a major commitment to the arts and art education,” says Jo Ann Evans, Chairperson and founding member of El Paseo. She brings a 40-year-long career of performing and directing to El Paseo.

That commitment also includes awarding scholarships to high school students continuing their education in the arts and offering summer theater camps to fourth through ninth graders.

“The arts have always required patrons,” Evans remarked. You can support the El Paseo Arts Foundation by becoming a patron and attending performances.
