Cliff Ranson Enters The Elite

Cliff Ranson, director of photography for SOCIALIFE Magazine and owner of Ranson Photography in McAllen, TX, has been named a recipient of the Elite Plus membership from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Ranson is one of few to earn this membership level and, at an impressive eight years in a row.

He also has been very successful in PPA’s International Photographic Competition. To be eligible for this honor, recipients must hold a master’s degree from PPA and have had a minimum of 13 images accepted into the PPA Imaging Excellence Collection. Cliff reached this milestone in 2023.

Professional Photographers of America(PPA), founded in 1868, is the largest and longest-standing nonprofit photography trade association.

The City of Pharr held its annual State of the City Address themed “Building a Smart City” on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Pharr Events Center.
