Boys & Girls Club of McAllen Pony Up

The PONY Softball International World Series, presented by Boys & Girls Club of McAllen, in partnership with P.O.N.Y., kicked off Wednesday, July 19th, with an opening ceremony at the McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium with over 3,500 people in attendance! The International Tournament was held July 20-23 at three of the City of McAllen’s beautiful softball parks; Municipal Park, MYBC, and Westside Park. The PONY Softball International World Series featured over 120 teams from Puerto Rico, The Philippines, Mexico, and across the United States, with 367 games played on the Texas-Mexico border and 10,000 spectators filling the stands throughout the weekend! The revenue generated from the tournament benefits the over 15,000 children and teens the Boys & Girls Club of McAllen serves every year through after-school programming, summer camp, athletics, and community outreach!
