FRIEDAFEST: EMPOWERING CREATIVITY AND COMMUNITY

The 10th annual Fridafest, held on July 15, 2023, at Edinburg City Hall Courtyard, was a jubilant celebration weaving art, culture, and women’s empowerment. Centered around the remarkable Frida Kahlo, the event offered a platform to honor her legacy and champion the strength of women. Vibrant art displays, captivating performances, and local vendors adorned the festival grounds. A highlight was the chalk art contest, where adept artists masterfully captured the essence of women’s power within 5’ by 5’ spaces. The festival also featured a women’s empowerment panel, which included Edinburg City Manager Myra Ayala. With a focus on inclusivity and unity, the festival hosted by Edinburg Cultural Arts radiated creativity and communal spirit.
