A Crescendo of Elegance
“Sparkling Schumann” was an exquisite evening of harmony and elegance on September 28th, supporting the Valley Symphony Orchestra and celebrating the beginning of the 2023/24 season. Hosted by Mr. Tom and Dr. Nina Torkelson, this private chamber concert featured the exceptional talents of Geoffrey Wong, VSO Concertmaster on the violin, Stacy Kwak on piano, Penny Tong on viola, and Tido Janssen on cello. The highlight of the evening was their captivating performance of Robert Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat major, Op. 47, which left attendees spellbound. It was an enchanting event that celebrated the beauty of classical music and the power of community support for the arts.
