Launch of the SIBA Craft Beer Report 2022

The SIBA Craft Beer Report 2022 is our first annual report since its last publication in March 2020, a week before the country went into National lockdown.

The report pulls together the latest data on the independent craft beer market, including academic analysis of the SIBA Members’ Survey, newly commissioned consumer research, and a broad range of industry data and reporting, edited by former The Publican Editor and current Independent Brewer Editor Caroline Nodder. The SIBA Craft Beer Report 2022 is being published in association with Croxsons, who have come on board as the first ever Official Industry Partner. “The SIBA Craft Beer Report is the most comprehensive report of its kind published in the UK and provides incredibly valuable insight into the independent craft beer market in the UK, including expert analysis and commentary from some of the industries foremost writers. I am delighted to see the return of the report in 2022 and the emerging trends and insight it throws up. I would also like to say a huge thankyou to Croxsons, who have come on board as the first ever industry partner for the report and with whom we have been able to continue offering industry-leading research, analysis and commentary.” James Calder, SIBA Chief Executive.

Report presentation by Editor Caroline Nodder, Prof. Geoff Pugh & Prof. David Tyrrall, and CGA Strategy

The SIBA Craft Beer Report will be launched with a presentation from report Editor Caroline Nodder, Professors Geoff Pugh and David Tyrall - who carried out the academic analysis of this year’s members survey and prior survey data - and CGA Strategy, who will give an update on market trends featured in the report. “The last two years have had a profound effect on the beer market, accelerating trends in some areas and changing our industry in ways which are here to stay. To say it is our most important report to date is an understatement, and it has been hugely enlightening to work on what I believe is a crucial representation of the independent craft brewing industry in 2022. I look forward to sharing with you this year’s ground-breaking findings. ” Caroline Nodder, Editor of the SIBA Craft Beer Report 2022. With unique insights into this year’s reports from the people behind it, this Keynote session will take place immediately following the SIBA Annual General Meeting on the main stage.

Experience the Atlas Copco brewery equipment

If your challenge as a brewer is to boost your production and minimise costs without impacting on the quality of the beer, we might have the answer! Are you currently buying bottled nitrogen gas? If so, you could reduce your nitrogen costs to one tenth by switching to an Atlas Copco onsite nitrogen generator. Don’t have much space to house a new piece of equipment? That’s not a problem, since our NGMs units have a footprint of only 0.25m2 with low operating costs while offering an excellent return. If you are worried about the impact of making such a big change to your nitrogen supply, we would be happy to show you some examples of similar breweries who have made the switch and are pleased they did.

If you would like to complete your efficiency package, our new TCX industrial chillers might be the right choice for you! These chillers play a key role in many stages of the brewing process, maximising energy efficiency whilst offering the reliability and performance you demand from your water cooler. Whether you operate a microbrewery or mega brewery, Atlas Copco has the right equipment for your purposes. We are already a big name in air compressors to the brewing industry, and can also supply nitrogen generators, process cooling solutions, pipework, specialised filtration products for various stages of the brewing process, parts and service, from just one supplier to keep your brewing equipment running. This is why half of the world’s beer producers have already chosen Atlas Copco as a supplier. Now it’s your turn to find out what the Atlas Copco brewery experience can bring to your brewery too.
