The UK society with a global reach - Join today!
ONE OBJECTIVE: ANALYSE CHARTS! technicalanalysts.com

Why join the STA?

The Society of Technical Analysts (STA) is the UK association for technical analysts. Its main aim is to promote technical analysis and its use in the investment community.

The STA is one of the largest technical analysis organisations in the world, established over 50 years ago with more than 1,100 global members. The society has built its reputation on the outstanding quality of its courses, access to globally respected experts and successful partnerships with industry leading organisations.

Learn more and meet fellow practitioners:

Learning with industry experts through an experience and casestudy based curriculum our students develop an in-depth knowledge of technical analysis, an understanding of real-world investment practices, as well as a new perspective on financial forecasting.

With more than 1100 members the STA is one of the largest technical analysis not-for-profit organisations in the world.

Informal social gatherings, following the main monthly talk, take place via Zoom or face-to-face and play an important part in becoming a technical analyst. Each lecture and meeting provides its UK and international students (and speakers) the opportunity to talk with one another, alumni members and already established professional technical analysts, creating a sense of community.

The monthly hosted talks can count towards your continued professional development and are regularly presented by leading overseas speakers giving the course a genuinely global outlook.

Sessions are videoed and shared with society members.

Choosing Your Course:

The STA Education Programme runs two internationally recognised diploma courses each year.

Currently being held online, the Part 1 course introduces complete newcomers to the basics of technical analysis, offering those with no prior experience the opportunity to kick start their learning and study for a world class Diploma.

The Part 2 course is designed for experienced professionals and is based around a deeper programme of learning. Students will improve their effectiveness and have their existing thinking and assumptions challenged.
