Simple future It is used to describe an action that will be performed in the
future It doesn’t change if it’s a question, responce, positive or negative. Words that are used in future tense: Will, going to
Examples:
Will you go to the movies tomorrow? I will go to the movies. I will not go to the movies. I’m going to study with Alice and John.
Will or going Will Talk about future facts or things we believe to be true about the
future To contract will remove “wi” and replace it with an apostrophe (‘) Examples:
I'm sure you'll like her. I'm certain he'll do a good job
If we are not so certain about the future, is accompanied with
expressions such as 'probably', 'possibly', 'I think', 'I hope‘ I'll possibly come but I may not get back in time. I think we'll get on well.
At the moment of making a decision I’ll call Jenny, I know her phone number.
Will or going Going When you are making a future prediction based on evidence in
the present situation If you plan to do something but isn’t certain Usually after a previous statement The traffic is terrible. We are going to miss our flight. Be careful! You are going to spill your coffee.
Simple Present Future Positive Subject + will + base form of the verb + object (s) Subject + going to + base form of verb + object (s)
Negative Subject + will + not + base for of verb + object (s) Subject + isn’t going to +base form of verb + object (s)
