7 Golden Rules for Mobile-friendly Emails

Why Emails? If your marketing strategy doesn’t include emails already, here’s why you’re losing out...

1. Personalized Messages: When you send out emails, the recipient’s name on the top gives it a more personalized feel. 2. Easy to create: Emails are not just easier to draft, but are pocketfriendly too. 3. Easy to track: With an efficient software, you can track the success rate of your emails, and improve where you need to.

Getting Started... Everybody talks about how to write an engaging email. But ever wondered how to DESIGN one?

Well, here are 7 golden rules to help you design that awesome mobile-friendly email.

Here we go!

Rule #1: Short Subject Line The subject line gets very little space on mobile screens. So if you keep it about 50-60 characters long, one can read it well. Or at least mention the most important part of your mail in the first 50 characters.

Rule #2: Email Width Under 600 Pixels If your email’s width is 600 pixels or lesser, your emails will be visible on all mobile devices (even those that can’t handle responsive designs.

Rule #3: Smaller Images Since many users have slower internet connections, using smaller images ensures that your page loads faster and uses less bandwidth.

Rule #4: A Distinct CTA Button A finger is not as accurate as the cursor. Have a CTA button that is distinct and big enough so that users can click on it on touchscreen phones, and continue their interaction with you. A box size of 40 pixels (or more) is good.

Rule #5: Avoid Too Many Links Having too many links in the email body may lead your readers to confusion or clicking on the wrong one. So avoid too many links, or space them out.

Rule #6: Use A Single Column Template Emails with single-column template look more organized and are easier to read and navigate. Use this to highlight the most important content of your email.

Rule #7: Menu Bars? No!!! You are designing an email, not a website. And fingers aren’t as accurate as cursors. A menu bar will only mean frustration that comes with clicking on the wrong link.

Bonus Tip Get your Hosting right A right hosting service can boost your performance manifold, and there’s no denying it. Choose the best one that falls in your budget, and reap the benefits!
