“Golden Sakura” Cherry tree branches. Each branch is made of bent brass wire, and at the end of those wires, are fused glass flowers with gold enamel details painted in the center. The whole branch is then installed inside a pipe, that is inside a perforation in the base, made of Basalto volcanic stone, hand carved by San Juan Evangelista artisans. Big branch is aprox 60cm x 70cm, stone base 16cm x 20cm Small branch is 50cm x 40cm, stone base 12cm x 20cm
“Petals” 60cm x 60cm An evolution from the small ones we made for christmas. This design has more levels (most notorius when looked at in person).
“Petals” Greens and turquoise variant. 60cm x 60cm Same design overall, different assortment of colors.
“Fungae colony” Pâte de verre fungae installed on a branch of wood. 40cm x 30cm
“Spore shooter” Pâte de verre inciense difuser, with fungae inclusions and basalto stone base. 20cm x 20cm
Knited scarves Both are 5mm clear glass strips intertwined, but with differences in process as to when we put frit/powder color into the glass. Both have gold enamel details. The red on the left is waiting to be fused and measures 30cm x 45cm The multicolor on the right will be 100cm x 70cm
The person that freed himself from all earthly things before passing. Mushrooms, sunset palette, gold leaf on horns. Meant to go on a wall.
2nd test
1st test
Trying to find the right color match since there was no purple like the one I wanted available where I buy glass. I still have some other options to try for this 4 pieces. Also we are looking at a difference in shine, because in the firts test I used more frit to cover the back. In the second one it was almost only very fine frit (almost powder). It seems that I didn’t control the quantity of purple in the second test well enough for it to cover enough not to let show the white behind it.
