Case Study GoAxial Product Selector – Facilitating automated the code generation process Background Challenge Initially Bosch Rexroth Sales Team and their authorized distributors used to email or call Rexroth Axial Pump Group to gather information for any available model code or part number to inquire about lead time and cost. The Rexroth Axial Pump Group had to forward multiple sheets to requesting users to fill in the required information which was time consuming, difficult for follow-up. There were also the chances of negligence of datasheets to be sent to appropriate request. To eliminate the waste of time and reduce high occurrence of human error, we were required to provide an automated system that would reorganize the code generation processes and reduce the occurrence of missing and bad data on lead time and pricing.
Background Bosch Rexroth is one of the world’s leading specialists in the field of drive and control technologies. The developed solution – GoAxial Product Selector - replaces client’s manual code generation process in which they were communicating via emails and phone call to request information required. They needed a solution which is automated, efficient and reliable to streamline their current process and error free.
We were required to develop responsive web application that would connect to SAP and E-Portal database hosted by Bosch IT department via web services. The information related to parts and their lead time was regularly updated to SAP and to fetch the latest information, Windows Service Feature was run on timely basis for the updates to the new web application. To eliminate high rate of lapses and communication gap, we delivered the automated system which helps as an online solution for quick response time.
