Letter From the Editor Hello SDA Key Club! I really hope the school year is going well for you! We had a great start to the school season and have been hard at work planning more events. This past couple of months we've done quite a bit! We had a booth at club rush, went to Fall rally, did an interclub event with CCA, and have been working on volunteering more for our community! I want to take this moment to remind you guys to do the service spotlights and try to raise money for Pediatric Trauma Program. Although it can be hard, I believe in you guys! I hope that you all keep volunteering and attending events. Keep up the great work! Sincerely,

San Dieguito Club Editor a2shih10@gmail.com

Letter From the President Hello Key Club! I can’t believe we’re in the last quarter of the year! Don’t forget to work on district and division contests, prepare for February elections, and attend the District Convention (DCON)! For the last quarter, I would like to put in one last effort to promote membership. The officers by organizing more in-person social and volunteering activities such as interclubs! We had so much fun with CCA at our holiday card making interclub in December! We would also like to extensively fundraise for DCON coming up in April so that more people can attend! I am so thankful to everyone who has joined our club! Key Club has been a defining aspect of my high school experience, and I look forward to serving you next year, as well! Remember, if you ever need help, information, or someone to listen, please reach out to our officers and me! We’re always here for our members! Happy Holidays! With love and service,

Cyrene Wang San Dieguito Club President cnhkc.sandieguito@gmail.com

What's New! These past months, our members have been busy! Whether it be volunteering at various organizations, attending meetings, or a bit of both, we can't wait to tell you all about it!

This month, Secretary Arra Marie Larson helped facilitate a game of bingo for Sunrise senior center. She dedicated her time to entertaining the senior citizens. She helped with calling out numbers, reading cards, and passing out materials. By doing this, she provided valuable time for the citizens to relax and have fun. Thank you Arra for dedicating your energy and time to these citizens!

What's New! President Cyrene Wang and Editor Amanda Shih attended Fall Rally at Six Flags, Magic Mountain. The experience was unforgettable and they had an awesome time. They met new members and experiences how big Key Club truly was. Besides riding rollercoasters, they also enjoyed hanging out with their friends. This month, we helped out our local community by cleaning the beach. We collaborated with the Robotics club (Team Paradox) and the Japanese National Honors Society (JNHS), and helped make Moonlight Beach a safer and better place for all creatures. This month she also assisted with tutoring for JNHS and decorating for Halloween at San Dieguito Academy. Dedicating her time to making sure students admired the Japanese 5 classroom, she also helped with teaching younger Japanese learners.

What's New! This month, we also did an interclub with the CCA key club! Although the turnout was small, we had a great time. We made cards for the Angel Service Project and got to know the other members better. It was a great experience and it would be awesome to do it again! This past month, we also attended our Division DCM and RTC. The DCM was Alice in wonderland themed and we prepared for the Fall Rally as well as supported the Pediatric Trauma Program. We also attended the RTC (Region training Conference) where we learned a lot more about our positions and met other officers from other clubs.

Member of the Month This month's member of the month is Jalen Shih. Besides being elected Vice President, Jalen has been dedicated to volunteering for his church and his community. These past months, he has helped his church by teaching preschoolers. He has also shown responsibility and has even submitted articles for articles and visuals. Congratulations Jalen!
