SUMMER 2016 FOCUS: Food Insecurity With almost 800 million people not having access to enough food to live an active, healthy lifestyle, the impact of this preventable issue on the individual and society as a whole is immense. At Global Scholars for Progress, scholars will study the roles of political leaders, corporations, and other powerful players in the global system. Scholars will also work together as they examine the issue of Food Insecurity to develop an Action Plan they will bring back to their own community. These plans will be scholar-driven initiatives with the goal of making a lasting impact on their community for generations to come.
