Russian Olympians attacked by Islamic extremists in Southampton

Olympic Team Targeted in Terrorist Attacks By Abigail, Natalie, Katie, Lara, Catherine In the early hours of this morning, Southampton was shocked by the assassination of 4 Olympic Rowing hopefuls in an attack against the Russian State. Police pursued the attackers who crashed outside St Andrews Park and entered into crossfire, leaving three suspects dead and one in intensive care. The four young athletes, three male, one female were waiting in St Marys car park to make their way to training at Hamble River, when they were targeted by four males. Sharioit Jamaat have claimed responsibility of the execution of the four Russian Olympic Rowing Team members. The largest Islamic Militant Association in Dagestan have stated it’s a “message to Russia to withdraw from Dagestan or face war”. They require Dagestan to be a “fair Muslim State with Sharia Law in place”. Dagestan borders Cheznia and Georgia and is predominantly Muslim has been occupied by Russia since 1813 and trouble first arose in the nineties. She described the scene as a “bloodbath” and states “I’ve never seen so much blood and I’m a nurse”. Southampton Solent University have released a statement saying “they deplore attacks of terrorism and spilling of blood under any circumstances, anywhere and for any reason”. At a press conference following this mornings event, PC Hobbs announced that the Police have heightened security for future visiting sportsmen. Residents in Southampton are advised to stay vigilant, however local Police have said that there is no danger perceived to the general public.
