The driver was arrested at the scene in front of the 40 coach passengers – all Chinese tourists en route from Granada to Valencia – and taken to Murcia where he faced an immediate court judgement. Police attending the incident kept the passengers informed of the situation, overcoming the language barrier as none of them actually spoke Spanish.
