Mojacar fines family 500€ for drinking WATER on the beach
(Grouping and staying of people who are found to be drinking or realising any other activity which puts in danger the pacific life of citizens outside of the zones of the town which the townhall has permitted for these activities). In fact, according to the complaint filed by the cousins, the police not only refused to discuss the matter, they became verbally arrogant, warned the group “they could fine them for discussing Rimmel (makeup) in public if they wanted to, as you are five people or more which is illegal” and threatened to call for backup and have them arrested.
As part of Rosmari’s attempt to eradicate fun from the face of the world (or at least Mojacar), her policia local have fined a ground of youths 500€ for daring to drink water on the beach.
The group were so infuriated that they drove to a nearby Guardia Civil traffic checkpoint and underwent a breath test to prove they hadn’t been drinking alcohol. The Guardia, although they couldn’t give them an official receipt, did let them use the big machine in the car which prints off a written record with the timestamp, proving that the youths had no alcohol in their bloodstream.
ideal.es reports that the three men and two women, all family, had been in Mojácar to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary of their grandparents in a local hotel. They live in Murcia and had come down for the night. After the meal had ended, they decided to go to a local disco, and parked up in the carpark outside, which is on the beach. As there was a queue to get in (despite this being about 3 in the morning), the cousins, who weren’t drinking alcohol, stood by their cars and were sharing a couple of bottles of water when the locales turned up, and fined them 500€ for drinking on the beach. When challenged that they weren’t drinking alcohol, and were in no way being rowdy, the locales replied that nowhere do the rules say that alcohol has to be involved.
Before leaving Mojacar the next day, the youths filed a formal complaint against the locales and insist that they intend to challenge the fine in court. Mojacar townhall originally refused to discuss the matter, but later issued a statement to ideal newspaper saying that they are sure their police have acted according to the laws of the town. News MORE COURT CASES COME TO LIGHT IN PARTALOA
AUAN, 14th June 2013 New information is emerging about more court cases relating to houses in the municipality of Partaloa in Almeria. This time it is 29 houses in the area of Retamar and as usual the prosecution is asking for demolition. The latest case, which was initiated 7 years ago, is a criminal case relating to an alleged planning crime against the promoter of the houses as well as corruption charges against a series of other individuals and is pending a hearing in Criminal Court number 2 in Almeria. The company Residencial Retamar S.L. is also cited in the case. The victims, third party purchasers in good faith, could find themselves without a house and without compensation if the accused are convicted. Speaking on behalf of homeowners association AUAN, its president Maura Hillen said “It’s mostly British and Belgians in Retamar. The problem, as we have previously said, is that the proceedings are not registered in Property Register and therefore it is possible that the houses have changed hands whilst this case has been going on. And, at the moment it is the
Belgians who are buying”.
In this particular case the State Prosecutor has already asked that the victims be offered the opportunity to take part in the case to defend their interests. Asked if homeowners were taking part in this case to argue against the demolition of their homes, Mrs Hillen said “I don’t know but it is not uncommon to find that the homeowner cannot be contacted, or they do not really understand the procedure and assume that merely attending court in response to the initial summons and signing some papers is sufficient but this is not the case”. Gerardo Vazquez legal advisor to AUAN said “This is correct. You need to nominate an abogado and a Procurator to represent you in court. Otherwise, you will not be informed when the case goes to trial”. If you think that you may be affected by the proceedings in Retamar please contact AUAN on info@almanzoraau.org Maura Hillen on 661329919 or info@ almanzora-au.org
Holidaymakers warned to watch out for highway robbers in Spain
The British Embassy in Spain is warning holidaymakers to watch out for ruthless gangs of modern-day highway robbers who are preying on people driving foreign-registered vehicles and hire cars. Police in the Catalonia region of Spain have dealt with 126 British victims of robbery on the AP7 motorway between the French border and the Valencia region over the past two years. British Consulates across mainland Spain say they are receiving regular reports of roadside robbery occurring along the coast between Barcelona and Alicante, across Andalucia in the south, and in the Madrid region. Consular staff estimate that 1 in 20 of all emergency passports issued last year as a result of theft were following motorway robberies. A new video produced by the Foreign Office - ‘Don’t let thieves drive you to distraction’ - shows real-life footage of some of the most common tactics. Highway robbers flag their victim down by indicating there is a problem with their vehicle, then one gets out to distract the occupants’ attention, whilst an unseen accomplice robs passports, money and other valuables before the gang makes a fast getaway. In a second case, the robber tricks a victim into thinking they have a problem with their parked vehicle, whilst another opens the door and removes valuables. Other tricks include throwing something that creates a sudden noise, or puncturing a tyre at
a roadside rest stop. Will Middleton, consular regional director for Spain, warns: ‘Distraction is the most common technique used by highway robbers in Spain. They will try to worry you about the state of your vehicle, and then whilst they point out the supposed problem, an accomplice is robbing you. ‘So be wary of anyone attempting to stop you when you are driving, or trying to point out a problem or offering assistance. They may not be the good Samaritan they appear to be. ‘If someone points out a supposed problem whilst you are on the road, keep going until you reach a service area. If you have to stop, make sure one person stays in the vehicle. Keep valuables out of sight and out of reach. If you do notice a problem with your vehicle, call your emergency breakdown service for help. ‘We are working with the Spanish police to alert British visitors to how these gangs work, so that holidaymakers can avoid becoming victims. Police statistics indicate that these robberies are largely nonviolent. ‘However falling victim to this kind of theft can be distressing and costly: a family of four who lose all their passports would unfortunately need to pay around four hundred pounds to get emergency passports to get home.’ Source:www.fco.gov.uk

COACHTRIPS SL BRAND NEW THIS YEAR Aitana Safari Park High amongst the mountains of the Aitana mountain range a full one thousand metres above seal level a surprise awaits. For here you will find what must be the most unusual safari park in the world. A haven for exotic animals from all over the world which spreads for miles along the upper reaches of this extremely scenic mountain range. Once we leave the Motorway behind just beside the coastal town of La Villajyosa we drive up into the green forested mountains which rise up from the coast. Passing through the charming village of Sella complete with its own medieval castle the road to the park takes us on a voyage of incredible beauty. Arriving at the park, you could almost believe that you had just landed in Africa. Our arrival is timed to follow the feeding truck round the park. Some of the animals are of course caged or in special enclosures. This includes amongst others black leopards, vultures, lions ,tigers and hippopotamus. The non dangerous species roam freely and there are plenty of opportunities to get at close quarters with many of them. Goats, llamas, donkeys, gazelles, long horned cattle, camels, ostriches and giraffes compete for a share of the food, and at this park you can actually take part in the feeding of the animals. It is even possible to feed the elephants. Watch the hippopotamus open his huge mouth and dispense with a complete melon in two strokes of his massive jaws. You would not believe what this animal is capable of consuming. A fantastic drive through the Tigers enclosure rewards us with real close up views of these magnificent big cats. Follow this with a drive through the Lions enclosure where the “king of the jungle”tops off a magnificent experience. But one more surprise awaits us. Noahs ark is filled with small animals most of which (including non venomous snakes) we are able to get close to. Occasionally in Noahs Ark, lion cubs can be seen walking out on a lead with the park attendants. (Careful though, they do nip). This exhilarating day out can be enjoyed with David’s Coachtrips SL. The coach takes you through the park making regular stops to help feed the animals and take photographs. It goes every Friday from the 4th July. Price including both coach travel and entry is 28€ for adults 24€ for children. Reservations can be made direct on (0034) 966785910 or online at www.coachtripsonline.com

News World Cup Rental Demand An The Great Kon-Tika Raft Race Example To Second Homeowners Organised by SAN ANIMAL
San Animal did an amazing job of organising the Kon-Tiki raft race on Sunday on the beach at San Juan de Los Tererros… on Sunday the 15th of June. Hundreds of spectators turned out to see 14 rafts race… The rafts were fantastic and included entrants from local schools, organisations even the town hall took part. The atmosphere was electric and there was a real party atmosphere helped enourmosly by The TEAM HARMONY ANGELS who entertained the crowds with their superb cheerleading singing and chanting their theme song. The Angels also organised a bucket collection from the crowd and raised almost a €100. Well done Angels Elaine the secretary of San Animal said that they were thrilled not only with the amount of entrants but the rafts were superb, everyone really got into the spirit of the day. Elaine said that although the total amount
has yet to be finalised they were expecting to have raised near to €1000 which for this charity is an amazing amount of money much needed in the rescue and re-homing of dogs and cats. Photographs of the race can be found on the San Animal and Team Harmony Spain Facebook pages also on www. teamharmonyspain.com The whole team from San Animal would like to thank everyone who took part on the day and also the spectators that made the day even more magical. San Animal have worked in collaberation with the Mayor and deputy Mayor of Pulpi and hope to make this an annual event. If you can help San Animal with fundraising, rehoming of dogs or cats, fostering or even walking the dogs please contact Elaine at Sanamimal.org or see their Facebook page.
The World Cup should be a reminder that global sporting events that attract thousands of international fans, organisers and participants can be the ideal way to earn some extra rental income from a second home, both at home in the UK or abroad. Richard Way, Editor of OverseasGuidesCompany. com said: “While debates continue about the real long-term financial benefits that hosting the World Cup will bring to Brazil, entrepreneurial locals and property - owners in host cities are cashing in on the surge in demand for accommodation – just as Londoners did during the Olympics two years ago. “In a similar vein, owning and letting a place somewhere that stages an annual event can be a useful way to generate an injection of rental income. But it’s not only sports that attract recurring rental
demand, as popular cultural events can have a similar effect, whether it’s a jazz festival in Souillac in France’s Dordogne, or the Benicassim music festival on Spain’s east coast.”

If you’re the parent or guardian of a child living in Spain who needs to travel, you may be able to apply for an emergency travel document for your child instead of a new or renewed passport. British nationals living overseas who are waiting for a new passport, or whose passport has recently expired or will expire soon, are being offered additional services to help with any concerns they may have about their ability to travel. If you live in Spain and need to renew an existing British passport, you can instead apply for it to be extended for 12 months. You will need to be in possession of a passport that expired less than six months ago or will expire within the next three months, and have at least three blank pages left in your passport. There is no charge for this service. If you have already made an application to have your passport renewed then you cannot get an extension to your current passport,
Naples 6 Piece Round Dining Set
If you want to access any of these services, you should call 902 109 356 in Spain and make an appointment to visit your nearest British Consulate. Please do not arrive without an appointment – there is no “dropin” service. You can also get more information here. These additional services are designed to enable British nationals overseas to continue to be able to travel, and are in response to people’s understandable concerns about the current pressure on Her Majesty’s Passport Office in the United Kingdom, which is dealing with the highest demand for passports in 12 years. There’s no sense in having a patio if you can’t enjoy it on a sunny day, and that’s where these retractable umbrellas come in. Some are freestanding, with a heavy base often made of metal. Most are meant to fit into a patio table with a hole in the center. Need to know: Cheap patio umbrellas (just like ordinary cheap umbrellas) are prone to failed lift mechanisms and may be easily damaged by wind.

Shaped like a sail and stretched among poles or from a house’s fascia or roof bracket to a pole, a shade sail is as much an architectural design element as it is a shade structure. However, GOLFO is an exception. His story shows the determination of a little dog to survive. He was rescued by the police from a water reservoir where he had been swimming around for hours in order to save himself from drowning. Finally, a neighbour who had watched his desperate bid for survival, contacted the police. He was brought to the SOCIEDAD PROTECTORA DE ANIMALES DE ROQUETAS DE MAR. Immediately after his rescue, GOLFO was so exhausted that he could not even move or eat. It is believed that he must belong to somebody as he wore a collar. It is not known if he got lost and fell into the reservoir or if he was deliberately thrown there to die. After a few hours at the shelter GOLFO started eating and responding to the caresses from concerned shelter workers. Now he is a friendly and sociable little dog. He is thought to have been born in August 2012 GOLFO now needs a foster, or even better, a forever home to completely forget his horrific experience. If you are interested in little GOLFO, contact the shelter via Geoff at geoffalmeria@hotmail.com

A New King - A New Era A New Time For Spain By Martin Shortland
King Felipe VI has called for “a new Spain that we will build together,” after being proclaimed head of state at a ceremony in parliament last Thursday. Earlier he received the royal sash from his father, Juan Carlos, at the Zarzuela Palace near Madrid. He acceded to the throne at the stroke of midnight after King Juan Carlos formally abdicated on Wednesday; a procedure which was given the go ahead by parliament earlier in the week. The proceedings were purposely kept to a minimum, as many Spaniards are suffering economic hardship. Since Juan Carlos announced his decision to abdicate, there have been many prorepublican demonstrations in the country. The swearing-in ceremony took the form of a proclamation rather than a coronation and it’s the first royal transition in Spain since democracy was restored in the 1970s. The new king, 46, swore an oath promising to uphold the constitution and the speaker of the lower house of parliament, Jesus Posada, then proclaimed him king, declaring: “Long live Spain! Long live the king!” In a speech to parliament, Felipe said he had “great hope” for the future of Spain and called for unity. “You will find in me a loyal head of state who is ready to listen and understand, warn and advise, as well as to defend the public interest at all times,” he said. It was a low key event to which no foreign leaders or royal families were invited; the new monarch
and his advisors being keen to promote a sense of austerity. After the proclamation, Felipe, his wife Queen Letizia and their daughters Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia were driven through Madrid’s streets and the family appeared on the front balcony of the Royal Palace. Royal commentators say the new king faces a series of tough challenges if he is to restore the reputation of the monarchy. Although Juan Carlos won plaudits for his role in restoring democracy in the 1970’s, his image suffered when he went on a luxurious African elephant-hunting safari in the midst of the financial crisis in 2012. His reputation suffered further damage because of tax-fraud allegations made against his daughter, Cristina, who is reported not to have been invited to the succession party. The new king has a reputation as a serious person and has kept well away from the limelight in the years he trained to take over from his father. A demonstration took place in central Madrid as the enthronement took place, despite a ban imposed by authorities. Many Spaniards are demanding a referendum on whether to have a monarchy at all. King Felipe will face the dual challenge of trying to rehabilitate the monarchy and trying to unify a country in which a vocal minority favour republicanism.

First, coat all the lashes with a mascara that has a thin, precise wand. Then you want to use a large wand mascara, such as the Sonia Kashuk Lashify Mascara ($6.99, target.com), to coat the lashes around the inner corner to the middle of the lid—this creates the illusion that the eyes are closer together. If lashes start to get clumpy after a few coats, use a lash comb to separate the lashes and create stronger definition.

Wide Set Eyes
With close set eyes, Kashuk recommends putting emphasis on the outer corners of the eye to make them look wider. After curling lashes, apply the first coat of mascara to all of the lashes. The second coat should focus on the lashes from the center of the eyelid to the outside corner. Wiggle the wand back and forth at the roots, making them darker than the roots on the rest of the

Monolid
The key with monolid eyes is to make the lashes long, but go easy on the thickness. You want to be able to see the eyelid through the lashes to keep the eye looking more open. For both coats, use a lengthening mascara, such as Maybelline Define-A-Lash Lengthening Mascara ($7.99, maybelline.com), on all of the lashes.
Small Eyes
To make small eyes look larger and rounder, apply one coat on the entire lashes. But for the second coat, focus in the center to make eyes appear bigger. Use a thin wand mascara for more precision and to avoid clumping. http://www.womenshealthmag.

Protect your lips from the summer sun S k i n safet y is of utmost importance in the summer, but there’s o n e patch of skin that is often overlooked when it comes to the summer elements— the lips. The lips need extra TLC all year round—and especially in summer— because they lack the natural glands to keep them moist. As the temperature rises and your lips are exposed to harmful UV rays, heat, and transitions from the heat to air conditioning, your lips may become dry and chapped, which leaves them looking and feeling not so great. If you want luscious lips this summer, follow these guidelines to protect your smackers from the summer elements. Protect: Lip balm might be the most important skin care product in your summer skin care tool bag. It serves two purposes—to protect the lips from harmful UV rays and to moisturize them, thereby preventing dehydration and chapping. Choose a lip balm that has an SPF of at least 15 and moisturizing
ingredients that leave your lips feeling and looking luscious. When you slather sunscreen all over your body, don’t forget to protect your lips with lip balm. Exfoliate: Exfoliation is likely part of your regular skin care routine, but do you include the lips? This sensitive area of skin undergoes a build-up of dead skin cells just like other areas of your skin. In the morning, use a soft toothbrush to brush the lips for a few seconds. This helps eliminate residue from the surface of the lips and leaves them feeling smooth. After exfoliating the lips, be sure to apply lip balm. Moisturize: In addition to daily application of lip balm, the lips need heavy duty moisturizing at night to help them recover and regenerate. Apply a moisturizing cream at night so the lips can absorb the moisture while you sleep. Hydrate: Chronic dehydration leads to dry skin and this includes the lips. Stay hydrated to have healthy skin. Maintain a healthy diet: Healthy skin begins on the inside. Studies have shown that nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, and vitamin C provide antioxidants and other nutrients that protect against skin damage. Choose a healthy, balanced diet for healthy, glowing skin—including the lips.

SOLTIMES june 2014
Hello and welcome to CanDu Computer Bytes. Some time back I bought a tower computer without an operating system. The design specifications were: It had to be fast (I edit video files and it is notoriously slow when re-recreating the file), it had to have a respectable amount of memory (in this case 8Gb) for the very same reason, A large hard drive is essential when storing and manipulating massive video files so I invested in 2! The first is a standard 1Tb (1000 Gb) hard drive and the second is a 128Gb SSD. So why 2? The standard HDD is stable technology based on an old design and is relatively slow. Why is it slow? It simply has many moving parts that are tiny and to give an example of how minute, the height of a fingerprint is 8 time greater than the distances between the HDD read/ write head and the disk itself! The strength of this design and the reason that it has lasted this long is that your HDD has been designed to last 5-10 years and, with a little care and consideration, will last a good deal longer than that (I have a HDD that was in my first pc and is now 32 years old and still working!). There is a second design that removes the problem of moving parts. The SSD or Solid State Drive / Disk and it is fast! Things work many times faster when run off a SSD than from an ordinary HDD. So why don’t we all have one of these instead? Here’s the rub. Like other Solid State Devices, memory chips for example, they have a limited number of times that they can be written to! This number is huge and you will probably never have to worry about reaching the day when it screams “Enough”. Back to the question ‘Why 2’. Windows must have a
swap file to work efficiently. A swap file is just as it sounds, when memory becomes short Windows ‘swaps’ information from memory to the file and read information that it needs from the file into memory. It is this swapping that shortens the lifespan of your SDD dramatically. To get around that you can get as much memory as your motherboard will allow and move the swap file to the HDD. The extra memory will reduce or even remove the need to use a swap file on the hard drive! There is now a third option. There is a drive called a hybrid drive that uses the long term, stable storage of the HDD and the speed of a SSD. Exactly how this works will require much more space than we have today, but it is much faster than your HDD but not as fast as an SSD. There are rumblings that there is a technology that is ‘out there’ and is as fast as normal memory but will still store information when it is turned off, just like a normal HDD. Although first reported in 2011 there doesn’t appear to be anything come of it. I will keep my eyes open for more information for you. The fourth option is a bit of a cheat and one that anyone can use. Create a virtual drive in a small portion of the 8Gb memory, call it ‘M’ (for memory – seemed like a good idea at the time) and redirected the swap file to it. Problem solved and a computer that moves faster than a ‘rocket sled on rails’. I’m now off to Jack’s Bar in Albox for my Friday afternoon computer clinic! If you would like a clinic nearer to you – make the suggestion using the email address under this article and we will see what can be done.

The Mighty Minnows 2 Well the World Cup trundles on with one of the favourites Spain out and perennial underachievers England also gone, at least not this time by penalties. Lots of form busting results have helped the bookies make money as the underdogs have often come out on top. The whole pub was cheering on Iran as they threatened to embarrass Argentina. If it hadn’t have been for yet another glaring refereeing mistake perhaps Iran would have scored from their ‘non’ penalty! Messi came to the Argentines rescue scoring the winner in injury time. England’s’ previous nemesis ‘hand of God’ Maradona had the stadium left a few minutes earlier leading the President of the Argentina Football Association Julio Grondona to declare that they’d only scored because the teams ‘jinx’ had left the stadium. In reply Diego did a middle finger salute to the TeleSur television cameras for whom he works for and said ‘Jinx this!’ Varela via a cross from Ronaldo
braben’s blog... Detecting Intelligence
Can you believe it? The US Secret Service, true to its name, has announced to the entire world, not at all in secret then, that they’re going to buy a sarcasm detector, in the shape of sarcasm detecting software. What’s the point of calling yourself a Secret Service, when you do your business in front of everyone? I tell you, this would never have happened in The Man From UNCLE. You may be thinking here, what the dickens is so good about a sarcasm detector. Believe me, I think that this could develop into a real timesaver for all of us. Think about it. How many times have you watched a comedy programme and turned to someone and asked if it is really supposed to be a comedy? I bet it’s loads of times isn’t it? Well, here we can have the perfect timesaver. You could just set this device to comedy and it will, apparently, detect whether the show we are watching really is supposed to be funny. Do you know where we will get the most use out of this? Without a doubt it will be during coverage of things like Prime Ministers Questions and other parliamentary broadcasts. If you’re anything like me you’ll have asked many times about this politician or that politician, is he/she joking? Now we have an immediate answer! But beware, you may well be horrified when you find out at last that these people are actually genuinely serious and don’t see that we are all laughing at them! Sorry I got sidetracked there. I was actually fascinated that the Secret Service would need software to confirm that someone is being sarcastic or not. It seems that they are somewhat concerned about stuff that is appearing on Twitter and want to be able to judge whether threats against various things are meant as jokes or are deadly serious. I’m pleased, aren’t you, that the safety of the world is in the hands of such top notch people! Then to make themselves seem just a little sillier-is that possible?- they demonstrated just how out of touch with developments in technology they are. They’d told all companies who were going to tender for this job that their software must be compatible with Internet Explorer 8- released 8 years ago! Cutting edge intelligence servicesthat’s what we need. In the meantime we’ll make do with what we’ve got. Graham is married to Helen and has a daughter, Alice. He lives part of the year near Albox, but works in Qatar, teaching. If you wish to contact Graham regarding this article email: helenandg@yahoo.co.uk

came to the rescue in the dying moments of the Portugal USA match as the Americans were oh so close to beating the Portuguese on Sunday night. It all makes for good watching as the contest is more open than ever before. Could it be Algeria, Cameroon or Costa Rica lifting the trophy, I certainly hope so! England now have 2 years of UEFA Championship qualifiers to look forward to, starting with Switzerland in September. Why do England fans endure such misery? The Champions League for most football fans also kicks off in September; the likes of Ronaldo, Messi and Suarez will be strutting their stuff for Real Madrid, Barcelona and Liverpool. As the best 32 European domestic club teams commence battle. Manchester Utd’s European adventure starts a little earlier on August 16th with a home game against Welsh side Swansea in the Premier League with the Reds making their only visit abroad ‘to
Wales’ in the New Year. Long before the CL big guns come on stage the little minnows hoping for their own slice of glory start slogging it out from 1st July next Tuesday. So whilst across the Atlantic the last 16 countries battle for places in the World Cup quarter finals; the League Champions from Estonia, Armenia, San Marino, Andorra, Faroe Islands and Gibraltar all face each other in a 2 legged stage. Lincoln Red Imps are the current Gibraltar League Champions winning it last season for a record 14th consecutive time. Lincoln Red Imps have a 4500 km each way journey to play the Faroe Islanders side Havnar Boltfelag with the winners taking on Partizan Belgrade in July. Another win after that could see the tiny Gibraltarian side taking on the might of Standard Liege or Zenit St. Petersburg. Then simply overcoming a
team such as Arsenal, Porto or Napoli will mean playing amongst the 32 big boys of Europe in the Group Stages. I bet those Gibraltarian players are dreaming of glory. All this is due to Gibraltar gaining membership of UEFA last year. The Gibraltar Premier League only has 8 clubs. By winning the Rock Cup, College Europa FC gained entry to the Europa League playing FC Vaduz from Liechtenstein next Thursday 3rd July in their first qualifier. It’s certainly a pipe dream for both Gibraltar sides but that’s the beauty of football as it all comes down to 90 minutes on the pitch, plus a bit of Fergie Time and the odd crazy refereeing decision. In the English FA Cup many a minnow has caused an upset. My team Liverpool have had egg in their faces a lot, being beaten by Oldham, Worcester and famously Wimbledon in the 1988 Cup Final. Believe!

LEGAL CORNER
WITH MICHAEL DAVIES, ABOGADO/SOLICITOR If you wish us to print an article about a particular topic, please e-mail info@daviessolicitors.com Q. My brother has deceased in Spain and has named me on his will (which was signed in Spain) as the beneficiary of his worldwide estate. He had no assets in the u.k. My brother had been a tax resident in Spain for at least 20 years and was clearly nondomiciled in the u.k. At the time of death he had approximately 700,000 pounds sterling in a deposit account in Jersey and a villa in Mojacar worth approximately 500000 euro. I am domiciled in the u.k. My cousin made a tax declaration in Spain and declared the existence of his funds in Jersey on a 720 form.(new form by which residents have the obligation to declare their assetts abroad to the Spanish tax office) We need to look at this from two angles. How to wind up the estate and how to deal with inheritance tax in each jurisdiction. WINDING UP THE ESTATE. If the will that was made in Spain was in reference to the worldwide estate (not limited to Spain) and had a second witness added to it, then their will be no problem in con-validating the Spanish will for it to be used to obtain probate at the Royal Jersey Courts in Jersey which are efficient and easy to deal with. In Spain you would simply obtain probate on the will in reference to the villa in Spain. In other words probate will be straightforward both in Spain and in Jersey allowing you access to the account in Jersey and providing you with a title deed to the villa in Mojacar. DEALING WITH INHERITANCE TAX. In the U.K. General rule: you have to declare for inheritance tax the complete estate if the deceased was domiciled in the u.k. If not you would only declare the assets situated in the
u.k. (Please note that for this purpose funds in Jersey are not considered to be in the u.k.). As you say that the deceased was not domiciled in the u.k. and the assets are not in the u.k. no inheritance tax will be due in the u.k. In Spain. General rule: If the beneficiary is a resident of Spain he/she has to declare anything he/she receives as inheritance regardless of where it is situated in the world. If the heir is non-resident you only declare in Spain what is situated in Spain. (Some life policies issued by foreign insurance companies operating in Spain also, but this is the exception to the general rule and would many pages to explain). In this case as you the beneficiary are non-resident in Spain you would only pay inheritance tax in Spain on the house situated in Spain In Jersey: In Jersey you only have to pay a small tax to the Royal Jersey Courts consisting of 750 pounds for the first 100,000 pounds and then 0.5% for additional funds. This is because you are non-resident in Spain. If you had been a resident in Spain then you would have had to pay inheritance tax on the money in Jersey also and their would have been no escaping because your cousin declared the existence of the funds to the tax office by filling in a 720 form. (Declaration of assets abroad form) We can accept no responsibility for following the information on this article. It is general information provided in good faith, but it is an extremely simplified explanation of something that is very complex that includes many variables and even some grey areas open to interpretation. On a matter of this importance is is essential to discuss your with all the information and documents pertinent to your particular case available.

Citi believes house prices will fall by further 5% to 10%
Analysts at the Citigroup Research Service estimate that housing prices in Spain could still fall by an additional 5% to 10%, pointing to at least another year of declines before prices reach their minimum levels, and at the same time they rule out activity in the sector recovering in “the near future”. The organisation said in a report that, although the latest supply and demand data for housing in Spain shows “uncertain” signs of stabilisation, a major adjustment of housing prices still lies ahead. In this regard, they stressed that, according to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the price of housing in relation to incomes, or rentals, are still between 6% and 10% above the long-term average. Citi added that in other periods of adjustment of housing prices following housing bubbles, as has been the case in the United States and Ireland, these ratios have fallen between 15% and 20%
compared to their historical averages. They also stressed that, as noted by the Bank of Spain, accessibility to housing has worsened “significantly” since the Government eliminated the tax deductions for home purchases, and that the potential demand is “much lower” than before the crisis, due to the population decline in Spain. Citi’s analysts recognise that the “modest improvement” recorded in housing demand in recent months is likely to lead to a slowdown in the pace of decline in housing prices. However, with the still large stock of unsold homes (estimated total of around 600,000), they indicated that an increase in prices and activity “is not expected in the near future”. According to El Economista, the analysts also believe that the signs of stabilisation in construction activity should reduce the negative impact of the sector in the GDP in coming quarters. http://news.kyero.com/

One of the most historic venues in Brazilian football and called home by Atletico Mineirão and Cruzeiro, the 57,483 capacity Estadio Mineirão has undergone a complete overhaul prior to hosting six matches including one semi-final.
Ever since renovation works were complete in June 1999, the historic Estadio Joaquim Americo better know as the Arena da Baixada - has been considered one of Brazil’s most modern and best appointed stadiums, with a capacity of 40,000.
brasilia
fortaleza
Few Brazilian cities can match the capital Brasilia when it comes to architecture, the Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha is an arena with seating for 68,009 spectators, making it the second largest of the stadiums hosting matches at the 2014 World Cup.
As well as having its capacity increased to 58,704, the revamped stadium will boast an underground car park with 1,900 spaces, executive boxes, a VIP area and a media centre. A new roof now covers all its tiers, including the pitchside ring of seating.
cuiaba
manaus
Especially built for Brazil 2014 when it will host four matches, the Arena Pantanal will boast a capacity of 42,968 and will occupy the site where the Estadio Jose Fragelli used to be. The site’s air and soil quality is constantly monitored.
Though not a traditional hotbed of Brazilian football, Manaus is sure to be popular with fans attanding the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil - thanks to the unique character of the Area Amazonia, formerly the Estadio Vivaldao.

With room for 42,819 spectators and constructed by means of a partnership between the public and private sector, the Arena Pernambucho now hosts Nautico’s games - following the agreement reached with the club in October 2011.

Private Peaceful
“ I don’t believe in heaven. I’m not sure I’ve ever really believed in God….the church. I’d look up at Jesus hanging on the cross and wonder why God, who is supposed to be his father, almighty and powerful would let them do that to him. Would let him suffer so much.” This 2012 adaptation, directed by Pat O’Connor is based on Michael Morpurgo’s book. It proved so popular that by April 2004 it had been adapted into a play by Simon Reade and was first performed at the Bristol Old Vic starring Alexander Campbell before transferring to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and London’s West End. The film stars Jack O’Connell (Charlie Peaceful), George Mackay (Tommo Peaceful), Alexandra Roach (Molly Monks), John Lynch (Sergeant Hanley) and the late Richard Griffiths (the Colonel) amongst its cast. It was shot on location in Ipswich and Suffolk. Tommo narrates from 22.00 on the 24th of June 2016 to 06.00 on the 25th of June, whilst in solitary confinement, nervously fumbling with his late father’s watch given to him by Charlie, his brother in No Man’s Land. Eight excruciatingly painful and poignant hours before the tragic denouement…During those fateful moments where Tommo decries that every single moment “will be far too precious” he retells the story of his childhood, living with his family in Iddlesleigh, a farming community prefirst world war England. The action covers 1908-1916. Morpurgo drew his inspiration for Private Peaceful and War Horse from
interviews conducted with three farmboy veterans who were in their 80s. “There was no poetry in their stories, only horror and regret and great sadness for the loss of good friends.” Throughout the tale, the melancholic drones of “Oranges and lemons” can be heard from Big Joe to Tommo and finally Charlie. The three brothers. It is only when Tommo ominously mutters “here comes a chopper to chop off your head” then shockingly adding “you’re dead!” that the whole tragedy is unveiled. “But who would shoot their own soldiers?” It will haunt you. James Peaceful was a gamekeeper and forester for the Colonel living with his wife, Hazel and three sons in a tied cottage on the estate. The boys were exceptionally close and protective of Big Joe who was simple-minded. But it is Charlie’s protective and fatherly relationship of young Tommo that will move you, right up until the end. Tommo-the name represents an everyman character, had a close relationship with his father and he felt special when he helped his father fell trees. “I love it here. Just the two of us.” Through his innocence and insecurity he asks his father who he loves most hoping he will say Tommo. James teases his youngest and answers Charlie. Not the right answer. Tommo storms off telling his father he hates him when divine intervention strikes as Tommo is trying to apologise. “I looked up to see the great tree above me swaying when all the other trees were standing still. I stood and stared, mesmerised at the gradual fall of it, my legs frozen under

me, quite incapable of movement.” James heroically saves his son’s life but succumbs to his own sad demise and during Tommo’s impressionable years gaining maturity he harbours a guilty secret that he finally unburdens in No Man’s Land to his beloved Charlie: “I have inside me a secret so horrible. Father needn’t have died that morning in Ford’s Cleave Wood. He was trying to save me I have killed my own father.” Without a father to support his family, Hazel is offered a position as a lady’s maid then in charge of the Colonel’s laundry enabling the family to remain in the cottage. Charlie is taken on as a worker in the hunt kennels. A new gamekeeper, Monks replaces James who takes an instant dislike to the Peaceful brothers. His daughter, Molly becomes closely entwined and it is mutually reciprocated. A skinny dipping episode is momentous when she foretells the future with stones, a method used by gypsies. “ The stones say that as long as we stick together we’ll be lucky and happy ‘til the day we die.” Was it wishful thinking or was she tapping into her psychic energy? An infatuated Tommo asks her who she is going to marry and she teases with a Peaceful. Which one though? he hates him. War is declared and the novel then shows the brothers signing up for different reasons. For Tommy it is to stop the Hun from invading, the taunts of cowardice and a sense of adventure. He is too young to sign-up but falsifies his age. Charlie goes to keep a loving eye on his brother. Sergeant “Horrible” Hanley takes an instant dislike to Charlie, proving to be the bane of his life. War is destructive, we know that and we are faced with many harrowing images of death. Can Charlie protect his brother and the million dollar question-can the boys survive the war? Can promises be kept…? Find out for yourself. REVIEW it by Carol Naylor.

Food presented artistically really does taste better Salad that looks like a Kandinsky tastes better than the same salad arranged geometrically – and diners will stump up more
el Cucador
Our Restaurant has Magnificent Views Overlooking Olive Groves & Mountains And is Air-Conditioned Or Eat in the Garden Area & Watch the Sun Set A choice of
Wassily Kandinsky’s ‘Painting #201’ and the salad it inspired. Photograph: Courtesy of the journal Flavour The old adage that we eat with our eyes appears to be correct, according to research that suggests diners rate an artistically arranged meal as more tasty – and are prepared to pay more for it. The team at Oxford University tested the idea by gauging the reactions of diners to food presented in different ways. Inspired by Wassily Kandinsky’s “Painting Number 201” Franco-Columbian chef and one of the authors of the study, Charles Michel, designed a salad resembling the abstract artwork to explore how the presentation of food affects the dining experience. “A number of chefs now are realising that they are being judged by how their foods photograph – be it in the fancy cookbooks [or], more often than not, when diners instagram their friends,” explains Professor Charles Spence, experimental psychologist at the University of Oxford and a co-author of the study. Thirty men and 30 women were each presented with one of three salads containing identical ingredients, arranged either to resemble the Kandinsky painting, a regular tossed salad, or a “neat” formation where each component was spaced away from the others. Seated alone at a table mimicking a restaurant setting, and unaware that other versions of the salad were on offer, each participant was given two questionnaires asking them to rate various aspects of the dish on a 10-point scale, before and after tucking into the salad. Before participants sampled their plateful, the Kandinsky-inspired dish was rated higher for complexity, artistic presentation and general liking. Participants were prepared to pay twice as much for the meal as for either the regular or “neat arrangements”. After polishing off a portion, participants also rated the Kandinsky-esque salad higher for “tastiness”, despite it receiving similar ratings to the other salads for the four basic components of taste: salty, bitter, sweet and sour. But teasing apart exactly which aspect of the salads’ presentation affected how much participants were willing to pay for a dish, and their perception of its “tastiness”, is a tricky business. The authors suggest that the perceived effort involved in preparing the plate and its aesthetic appeal could be among the factors influencing participants. “Here we know that expectations were raised [with the Kandinsky-eque salad] – that led to the willingness to spend more and to an increased experience during consumption,” says Dr Katherin Ohla from the German Institute of Human Nutrition, who was not involved in the study. “But we don’t know exactly what led to this raise of expectation.” Read more on: www.theguardian.com

The Last Straw
Overnight our engaging little garden tenants, the sparrows, have gone from hero to zero. They have gone from amusing and entertaining to Arch Enemy Number 1 with their invasion and wholesale destruction of our fruit crop. To thwart them I fished out of the garden box our 2 green nets and draped them over the nectarine tree – not only were they too small to cover all the tree, but they had no deterrent effect whatsoever on the little chirruppers. So we bought a bigger net, in white. Between us we managed to cover the nectarine and the plum tree. Pete planted himself
firmly on one side, and deployed his stick as a kind of boom, draping the net over the stick and reaching out until I, precariously perched on the household steps, could grab the net and spread it over the branches. Having covered the top without falling off the steps and into the middle of the tree we then had to secure the net against the world famous Limaria gales, so I returned to terra firma to secure the hem with clothes pegs. To do this I had to grovelon the viciously pointy gravel while gathering the net in around the base of the trees. I am not designed to fold up easily, especially not on gravel underneath a tree, and as I Ouched my way along the ground around the trees I could be heard commenting negatively on the charms of our little ffffffeathered fiends. Our efforts were to no avail! Within minutes josbiggs@hotmail.co.uk

they had found a way in, and were pecking away for all they were worth. So we bought a truly huge net – that’ll learn ‘em, we thought. It did, to a point. As I was watering the garden I noticed that our white fig tree had one fig ripe and ready. I am very fond of figs, especially white ones, so I determined that as soon as I had finished and put the hose away, I would pick, eat and enjoy my first fig of the season. I returned to the tree to find a stalk where not more than 15 minutes ago there had hung the fig of my desire. I think it is best not to describe my emotions as I gazed upon that stalk. The sparrows had overhopped the mark and exhausted my tolerance - taking the first fig was the last straw! Does anyone have any good recipes for Sparrow Pie?
alqueria The Alquerian Infrastructure John MacDonald (El Sordo) - www.caratacus.eu
Local taxes are non-existent in Alqueria. Which is just as well as the chance of anyone actually paying is extremely remote. The s e r v i c e s required to protect and keep the Village operating are paid for from the Remitroot Surplus Fund. Many prominent financial institutions have tried to unravel the intricacies of this fund but none have succeeded. It operates on the principle that the Remitroot Surplus Fund gives A a loan, A pays B for services rendered. B then pays C for goods and services who then pays A for its utility bills. A then repays the Remitroot Surplus Fund. All outstanding bills are paid and the Remitroot Surplus Fund isn’t out of pocket. There must be a flaw somewhere but the system works so well no-one in Alqueria has looked too closely. It is advisable not to try this at home though. Of all of the Alquerian public services perhaps the Fire and Rescue Service is the hardest working. With the Alquerian liking for civil disorder fires and collapsed masonry are common place. One drawback with this fire service is that in true Alquerian tradition it is inept. It is necessary to have two fire engines, one to put out the fire and the second to put out the firemen. If the fire is any distance from the station it has been known for them to stop for lunch. José Cabrasilbido, Alqueria’s policeman has a difficult task. As there are no laws in the Village republic he has nothing to enforce. He can’t even manage traffic
or issue parking tickets. All the road markings have worn off long ago. He spends a great deal of time posting notices that announce the cancellation of road closures that were never scheduled in the first place. He struts the Village, holster open so his side-arm can be brought into play at a moments notice. He lets his right hand hover just above the grip. José isn’t going to be surprised. If one looks closely at this weapon one can make out the legend etched on the barrel, ‘Dirty Harry Special-Recommended for children over five.’ Alqueria has one ambulance and Enzo Matanzamas the local doctor has four beds in the Village’s cottage hospital. Not that the populace has any faith in either the good Doctor or his method of transporting his would-be patients. In fact it is a common sight to see the paramedic chasing some poor causality who has hobbled off in the hope of avoiding both the ambulance and one of Dr. Enzo Matanzamas’s beds. To survive for any length of time in Alqueria it is necessary to avoid playing with matches and to eat the proverbial daily apple.

A Nose for the Past As My Precious and I were browsing in the new Zenia Boulevard recently, my nose picked up a faint but distinctive whiff of something that triggered a hazy memory of something from my past. At first I could not identify the smell, but it somehow invoked a feeling of warmth and a time long past involving pleasant memories.
walking, a brief hint of something evocative will assail my nostrils which immediately summons up feelings of delight and euphoria, or on other occasions, distaste and melancholy. These aromas are usually fleeting and although they have aroused emotions of one type or another, I am rarely able to recall their origins.
We were in a store specialising in perfumes and cosmetics where my lady often takes the opportunity to freshen up by spraying on a free liberal dose of whatever takes her fancy. Nearby was another woman doing the same thing and the evocative aroma seemed to emanate from her, so sidling over and eyeing the label of the bottle she had just used, it suddenly all came back to me when I read the words Lilly of the Valley.
Someone I once knew claimed to have been regressed by a hypnotist, who specialised in taking clients back to past lives and reckoned that some of these mystery aromas were from a previous life. So although they unearth some hidden memories in us, it explains why we cannot positively identify them in the here and now.
This was my late Mum’s scent of choice and as a young boy, pretty much every Christmas I bought her a bottle of this essence with my accumulated pocket money of two bob a week. Even though it was the same present every year and she therefore knew what the inexpertly wrapped box contained, she always showed surprise and joy at my modest gift. The smell of cigars has the same nostalgic effect on me, because a single fat corona in its own aluminium tube was always the Christmas present from me to my Dad. Often

It sounds plausible if you believe in that sort of thing, but I have my serious doubts about this regression lark and the concept of reincarnation in general. I mean, why is it that most people who undergo these sessions seem to have been great American Indian chiefs, members of a Sultans harem or Henry the eighth’s pox doctor in a past life. It’s hardly ever serving wenches or rat catchers. If you believe everything you hear, there appears to have been more Egyptian princesses then, than there are Chinese restaurants now. The atmosphere of the English countryside has changed dramatically since I was a young lad and with the modernisation of farming techniques (along with the help of good old health and safety I shouldn’t wonder) fings aint what they used to be in the smells department. But it’s sometimes still possible to experience the fragrance of the farmyard as I remember it and on one occasion when we were motoring through the Cotswolds with friends, one of our
American companions expressed disgust at the pong that filled the car as we passed one particularly ancient looking farm. To me though, the bouquet was redolent of my childhood spent riding my Hercules bicycle in the country lanes near to my home and I took a deep draught of the intoxicating odour before closing the car window. For many years the smell of cheese caused me to gag and it was only at the age of twenty six that I tentatively tried a cheeseburger, which to my complete and utter surprise, was an enjoyable experience. Some of my very earliest memories are from my nursery school days and I clearly recall once being forced to eat a cheese salad. It was this one episode I believe that caused my antipathy to cheese for the next quarter of a century. A more easily explained aversion for me is the smell of Serrano ham. During our first year in Spain, we were attending one of the local markets and decided to buy some of the local ham for the weekend – something we had done before on several occasions. As we waited in the queue, the bloke who was carving the meat from the bone squashed a large bluebottle that had landed on the stall with his broad bladed knife which he then proceeded to wipe on his apron before continuing to serve customers. Needless to say we have never purchased ham from that stall since and not surprisingly, just the smell of the ham now has my stomach churning and I rarely eat the stuff even when dining out in Spanish restaurants. Smell, a powerful sense . . . Underrated and one that we least appreciate.

www.petinforum.com
As the weather kicks it up a notch, the natural tendency can be to get everyone up and out of the house, pets included. While spending more time outdoors can be a great source of exercise and fun for all involved, it’s essential to be wary of heat exhaustion in your animals. “Being covered by fur works well in the winter, but it can make it difficult to manage the heat of a summer day,” said Douglas Aspros, DVM and President of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). “Both dogs and cats dissipate heat by panting [and] as they get overheated, they pant more quickly trying to maintain a safe internal temperature.” Follow these tips for keeping your pet cool this summer
1. Get the Details There are two major reasons pets get overheated, Dr. Aspros said, hyperthermia and their upper respiratory systems. Hyperthermia occurs when animals are trapped in an environment (like a car or the beach on a hot day) that overwhelms their ability to cool themselves. Pets with compromised upper airways, like bulldogs, or an acquired condition like paralysis of the larynx have more difficulty removing heat in their bodies through panting, Dr. Aspros said. These animals often find that, in at-

2. Beat the Sun Pets are smarter than we give them credit for, and prefer staying at home and laying on cool surfaces (like your tiled kitchen floor) in the heat of the day, Dr. Aspros said. Save your outdoor time with your pet for early in the morning or in the evening once the sun has set. By taking your daily walk, run or visit to the park either before or after the sun is at its hottest, the air will be easier for your pet to breathe and the ground will be cooler on the pads of their paws. 3. Find Some Shade If you do find yourself out in midday with your pet, make sure you keep them out of direct sunlight or give them a shady place to get out of the sun. Remember, your pets don’t wear shoes, so the pads of their paws can be burned walking across particularly hot sand or asphalt, Dr. Aspros said. If it’s extremely warm, keep them indoors as much as possible.
the car or spending time with you, if it’s hot out and there’s a chance they’ll be uncomfortable the best thing to do is leave them alone. Panting takes more exertion than sweating and can bring your pet to respiratory distress faster than you think, Dr. Aspros said. Avoid any potential issue by keeping them safe and cool at home. 5. Hydration, Hydration, Hydration In addition to overheating, pets can get dehydrated quickly, so you’ll want to make plenty of fresh, clean water available to them. Panting is effective in allowing animals to cool down because it helps evaporate fluids from the respiratory tract, Dr. Aspros said. Help replace these fluids and prevent dehydration by leaving out water or water alternatives throughout the day, particularly when your pet has spent time outside in the heat. Water alternatives are especially great for pets since they replenish electrolytes and taste great.

car review By Tim Saunders
Range Rover Evoque Price £40,005 - 0-60mph: 9.5secs - Top speed 124mph Watch the video at: www.testdrives.biz
“That’s a girl’s off-roader,” says a fellow motoring hack, as he gives the Range Rover Evoque a cursory glance. I know what he’s getting at. Its futuristic styling is quite far removed from that of traditional Range Rovers but my friend is too dismissive without any foundation, I fear. We must all embrace change and that is something Range Rover has done wholeheartedly. It’s a popular sight on Britain’s roads in three and five door versions. The Loire Blue SD4 example that I’m testing is loaded with goodies including heated and cooled front seats and television screens in the rear. Yet the price tag seems attractive at around £40,000. With all the refinements of its big brother, the Evoque makes an attractive proposition. My test from Hampshire to the depths of Dorset allows me to really put it through its paces. The boot
is completely filled by our tandem pushchair. That rear power tailgate is a joy to use because it can be operated by the push of a button on the dashboard and it can be shut with the flick of a switch on the boot. Absolutely no effort involved on the part of the driver. The rear is crammed full with our daughters’ car seats and luggage. There’s not enough room for our travel cot. Nevertheless it’s a very welcoming environment. The cream leather seats are just what the doctor ordered for my back and the driving position is excellent. The interior, which incorporates a massive glass panoramic roof, is sumptuous. It would be useful if this roof could be opened as a sunroof. The sat nav is surprisingly simple to use. We get lost trying to find Golden Cap, which is a little National Trust gem hidden away near Lyme Regis. My wife and I only ever use sat nav as a last resort but the simplicity of
this system begs us to ask the question ‘why?’ Perhaps we will change our ways from now on. Although we soon realise why we are averse to this technology when the pleasant sounding female voice who kindly repeats her instructions three times, in the same way as my wife… persists in directing me to Golden Cap even though we have already visited it and are on our way home. We finally discover how to switch her off. The doors need a good thump to shut, which is slightly irksome when there are two children in the rear fast asleep. Another little niggle is that at night the vehicle can be left parked with its lights on and no buzzer alerts you to this fact. But they can be turned off via the keyfob. I do like the fact that as long as the keyfob is present entry to the vehicle can be keyless which is a great help when offloading luggage etc.
the Evoque might struggle but none of it. The 2.2-litre 190bhp engine is an absolute joy to drive with the ninespeed automatic gearbox and the centrally mounted dial for this rises up when the engine is started by a push of a button on the dash and the foot on the brake. Depending on driving style it will return anywhere between 35mpg and 53mpg. No matter what the driver’s demands the Evoque will meet them: whether they want to drive it like a manual thanks to the steering wheel mounted gearshifts through to sedate motorway cruising – just set the cruise control at your desired speed. On first acquaintance the Evoque suffers from a noticeable delay when manoeuvring away from a junction. This version is fitted with economical stop/start technology and it is usually pretty quick to restart the engine but not on this first drive for some reason. Later well into the test I find the auto box to jerk between gears.
Bearing in mind it’s only a 2.2-litre diesel it has a surprising amount of get up and go, if required. For instance, there’s a pretty steep hill as you leave Chideock. The beauty of it is that it adapts to its environment with ease. Find a field and put it through its paces and it does not disappoint. I find a disappointingly flat field on the Devon/Dorset border and it makes its way across it as if it’s on the road. The Bubblebum car seat By Tim Saunders
Loaded to the hilt you might be forgiven for thinking that
The Bubblebum car seat is an ingenious concept. If your car and home are anything like mine, space is always an issue. And so an easy to store car seat that can be blown up when required is a good idea in my book and ideal for my eldest daughter Harriett, who is fast outgrowing her baby seat. As you can see in the video above it is quick and simple to operate. Price: Around £30 from all good retailers.

Thursday 19th June the 19th Hole Golf Society played an Individual Singles Stableford at the demanding Aguilon course. With twenty four players biting at the bit to set off on the 1st hole spirits took a bit of dip when a few spots of rain were felt and the distant rumbling of thunder was heard. The first female past the line was Alejandra Galvez, and the first male to cross the finish was Jose Juan Perez, while the team did a faster lap was the Tyke Team. Guadalupe Reyes, said that “race was a success because we have participation from 150 runners last year, nearly 600 in this issue. It was a different and new experience with the addition of color. “ José Juan Rubí, Councillor for Sports and Leisure of Roquetas de Mar, said that “the solidarity and sport Red Cross run sent a message that Roquetas de Mar can and will open the streets to all the world. “I’m not going to say what’s happening in the dressing room, for me that should stay there,” he said. Spain star Xabi Alonso has denied reports he has decided to quit international football. The Real Madrid midfielder caused controversy in the wake of their 2-0 defeat to Chile – a result which meant they were eliminated from the World Cup – by saying the team lacked “hunger” and “ambition”. He was then reported to have quit the national team but the former Liverpool man insists he is yet to make up his mind. He told Spanish radio station Onda Cero: “I’m still not at that moment, I want all this to end as soon as possible, go on holiday, disconnect a little and then decide things with time.
“The atmosphere and feeling in the dressing room is the same as it was two years ago. It’s all very natural, there isn’t the tension that you (the media) imagine there is.” Alonso also appeared to backtrack on his earlier scathing comments about the team’s attitude during the World Cup. “We know that we lacked intensity, but our enthusiasm has been the same as always,” he said. “The hardest thing was (to repeat) what we have already done, which is to win three competitions in four years.” Skysports.com
