About us
Although many Removal firms nowadays claim to be a 'family business' few actually are. This is where we are different. We pride ourselves on giving each individual job (regardless of size) a personal service that is second to none, and in achieving complete customer satisfaction. After all, it’s our reputation our name - at stake, so we do all we can to maintain our high standards and also meet those of the customer. It's for this reason that a majority of our work is due to recommendation.
Spain and France
We specialise in relocations to and from France and Spain, and often have weekly loads going to both destinations. By combining knowledge of the European laws with local information and years of overseas experience, we have managed to remain as reliable in Europe as we are in England, and consequently have built up a good reputation in both countries. We work closely alongside several English-run storage companies in Spain, allowing us greater flexibility with our customers on both sides. All work within our guidelines and adhere to our high standards. We have become one of their top recommended removal companies for moves to and from the UK, and still remain the removal company of choice for many ex-pats.
European Removals
We offer a professional yet personal service to and from most parts of Europe and will gladly tailor make a package to suit your individual needs. We understand that flexibility and reliability is of utmost importance to our customers, especially when moving overseas and we aim to cover both areas within the services we offer. Quotations for European moves follow the same protocol as for domestic UK removals (see 'Quotations '). They require an estimator to visit your home (where possible) or can be submitted via 'Online Quotes' . You may wish to email your enquiry to: fredphillipsremovalsltd@ymail.com
Full or Part Loads
The main options to consider in a European move are how big your load is likely to be, and whether you require your belongings on a specific date, or just within a certain timescale. We offer two main services to cover these options: • Full Load - You pay for sole use of the vehicle. Gives you full control (as far as is possible) over the collection and delivery of your belongings, allowing you to work to a specific date. • Part Load - The cost effective option. You have part use of the vehicle along with other loads going via the same route to their destinations. Collection can still be when you require, but delivery is arranged on a full vehicle (cost efficient) basis. However, we will still do our best to work within your time frame. Both services can have storage incorporated into the move, and both offer the same experienced, dedicated customer care service from planning and preparation right through to delivery. Spain and France: We specialise in relocations to and from France and Spain, and often have weekly loads going to both destinations.
Storage
We offer Storage Facilities both in the UK and in Spain. We can store anything from single items to full house loads, for any duration.
Our Storage Facilities offer the following: • 24 hour Security and Surveillance • Heated Warehouse • Full Insurance • Flexibility
Storage is charged on a weekly basis and customers are invoiced monthly. For more specific information please email us at: fredphillipsremovalsltd@ymail.com
Aims: Our goal is to make your relocation overseas a completely stress free experience from start to finish, (as far as the removal is concerned!) and to maintain customer satisfaction throughout.

Spanish intelligence to recruit 500 agents to spy on ISIS online
Spanish spooks want to recruit 500 additional agents to fight against the threat of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL). They will spy on alleged jihadists online, tracking propaganda and recruitment, the intelligence chief said. The National Intelligence Agency (CNI) wants to complete the expansion of its ranks by 2020, its head Felix Sanz Roldan said on Thursday. It’s part of the new national counter-terrorism strategy adopted last year. The new agents would be specialists in “mathematics, telecommunications and computers,” Sanz Roldan said at a security and defence seminar in Toledo. Their skills are necessary to fight the new brand of techsavvy terrorism that IS practise, he said as cited by the Spanish media. The CNI considers jihadist groups a paramount threat to Spain at
the moment, surpassing that of domestic extremists such as the Basque s e p a ra t i s t group ETA, the director of the agency said. It downsized the department dealing with d o m e s t i c terrorism and beefed up foreign intelligence accordingly. Sanz Roldan said Spain was in close cooperation with intelligence services of other nations and that the anti-IS forces were “winning,” but added that ultimately defeating the group is likely to take a long time. Spain’s Secretary of State for Security Francisco Martinez Vazquez, who was also speaking at the seminar, said an estimated 170 Spanish citizens had left the country to join jihadists in the Middle East. Of those over 20 have returned to Spain and are either in custody or on a terrorist watch list. He stressed that some other European nations, such as France and the UK, had significantly more people with similar stories. https://www.rt.com

Further train driver strikes threaten rail traffic
ANOTHER series of rail strikes over working conditions and pay will affect the country this month, from last (Sunday). Train drivers downed tools for 24 hours on Friday this week, and have done so again today, but are required to guarantee ‘minimum services’. This means three-quarters of trains running at rush hour and on the outer suburban, or Cercanías lines; 72% of high-speed and long-distance routes will be assured, and 65% of mediumdistance trains will still be in service. Goods trains, which do not carry passengers, will run at 19% of their usual volume. A further two strikes are planned for this Tuesday, June 14, and Thursday, June 16. Although rail board RENFE bosses
finally struck a deal with train drivers’ union SEMAF a few weeks back which workers were happy with, SEMAF does not believe RENFE has offered the ‘necessary guarantees’ that the measures will be put in place. RENFE is dragging its heels over the employment and sustainability steps it promised to put in place, including ‘structured’ redundancies rather than axing jobs en masse, and promoting new investment in the State-run firm’s different activities. A reduction in ‘narrow rail’, or provincial short-haul services inherited from the now-extinct rail board FEVE, and a lack of investment in and promotion of transporting goods by train are among the other issues RENFE drivers cite. RENFE considers the strikes to be
Madrid city facing €2,400 bill after inflatable dog dropping stolen
A three-meter-high inflatable meant to raise awareness among pet owners has mysteriously disappeared in Torrelodones The city of Torrelodones, in the Madrid region, has filed a complaint with the Civil Guard over the theft of a “giant poop” that was part of a local scoopthe-poop campaign. Municipal sources said that the inflatable dropping went missing after the air was taken out and the item was packed back into its case. Getting a replacement dropping will set the city back €2,4000 The contractor said that it will find a replacement for the imitation dog
mess, which stands three meters tall. But the cost to city coffers will be around €2,400. The display was part of a local awareness campaign to get residents to pick up after their dogs. With pet ownership on the rise, other Spanish municipalities have come up with creative ways to stress the need to not leave messes on the streets. One town mailed back the droppings to the animals’ owners, while others are trying to create a database that will allow them to match the poop with the dog through DNA testing http://elpais.com
June 2016
‘unjustified’ given that, since the employment plan was signed on all sides, a total of 212 staff had taken voluntary redundancy and another 199 had joined the firm. Each day’s strike costs the rail board
€5 million, RENFE complains, and right now will cause maximum disruption with the holiday season due to start and students returning home at the end of term. thinkspain
Two minor earthquakes on Costa Brava
TWO earthquakes have been reported in the province of Girona, inland from the Costa Brava.
The first was recorded at 08.09hrs on Friday in Vilamalla, reaching 2.5 on the Richter scale, meaning most of the population did not feel it. But the second, at 08.57hrs on Friday which measured 3.5 on the Richter scale with its epicentre between the towns of Vilafant and Banyoles, caused widespread panic among residents. A flood of calls was received by the 112 emergency hotline, but no
damage or injury has been reported. Minor earthquakes are frequent on Spain's south and east coastal strips, typically reaching between 2 and 3 on the Richter scale, which means they are unlikely to be noticed except for, at times, a momentary jerking sensation which lasts a split second. Upwards of 3 on the scale, they are more likely to be felt, but major damage caused by earthquakes in Spain is extremely rare. thinkspain
Madrid cops 'overwhelmed' as pickpockets target Primark
Spain's biggest Primark opened in October 2015 to great fanfare, but now police have demanded the discount clothing store increase security after a wave of thefts. The five-floor shop sits on Madrid’s iconic Gran Vía and is the biggest Primark in mainland Europe. For several weeks after its opening, customers had to queue to get in, demand for the brand’s cheap and cheerful clothing was so high. But the huge crowds have also drawn huge numbers of thieves, who have been stealing from the store itself as well as pickpocketing its customers. The problem has become so bad that police in Madrid have asked Primark to employ extra security staff to tackle the issue. Police have already broken up four pickpocketing gangs, Madrid’s head of police Alfonso José Fernández said during a police display in Madrid’s
Las Ventas, adding that there had been a "wave of thefts" and police were "overwhelmed". He said that there had been over 300 reports of theft made to the police station in nearby Calle Leganitos - the closest to the store every month since Primark opened in October 2015. Fernández confirmed he had asked Primark to reinforce its security by employing extra staff, adding that he had put extra officers on the beat in the area and dismantled four criminal gangs operating within the store. Primark overtook Spanish brand Zara to become Spain's most popular fashion store in terms of number of customers in 2015. In 2015 alone 8.9 million customers made purchases in Primark stores in Spain, beating Zara's 8.2 million customers. thelocal

Reservation app ends 'sunbed wars' on the Costa del Sol
A new sun lounger reservation service promises to bring peace to the poolside. It is every holidaymaker’s nightmare. Arriving at the hotel pool just after breakfast only to discover that all the sun loungers already have a towel laid over them, that unwritten claim of ownership that can only be challenged by the bravest sunbather. But one enterprising Englishman has come up with a solution for those who simply aren’t capable of sneaking poolside before breakfast to bag their spot. Daniel Jain believes his newly launched phone app could take the stress out of sunbathing and put an end "sunbed wars" once and for all. "I think it ruins people’s holidays when they have the constant fear of having to wake up super early just to ensure their family has some sunbeds by the pool," the 23-year-old from London, said. "Especially as they have paid a lot of
money to be there in the first place." The BookMySunbed app allows reservations to be made weeks in advance and has been launched this summer at resorts across Marbella. "Just like booking a cinema or airplane seat, the app allows travellers to pick out their preferred sunbed in the exact location of their choice, all with a few taps on their smartphone," the developer explained. Jain came up with the idea after experiencing what many holidaymakers suffer at the pool. "We’re regular visitors to the Costa Del Sol, and a recent altercation at one of our local resorts (beds that we thought were booked, in fact were not!) highlighted that the process of making sunbed reservations can be improved." The app is already available at hotels in Marbella before being rolled out across other resorts in Spain and then, hopefully, the world. "Marbella has the culture, the vibe and the history. It was the first place where the 'Beach Club' concept was introduced to the world and how great would it be that Marbella again, can be the first to solve the 'Towel Wars'," Jain said. The app is already available in seven languages; English, French, Greek, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. "No more early mornings for anyone," predicts Jain. "You’re on holiday, have a lie in!" http://www.thelocal.es

Royal Ascot is Britain’s most valuable race meeting, attracting many of the world’s finest racehorses to compete. Anticipated and revered, Royal Ascot is made for socialising. These five days are long seen as a spectacle of fashion and style. Each year the race is broadcast to millions of viewers around the world, yet to experience it in person is altogether more special. In 1711, Ascot Racecourse was founded by Queen Anne whilst out riding near Windsor Castle, she came upon an open of heath that looked, in her words “ideal for horses to gallop at full stretch”. The first race meeting took place later that year on 11th August. Open to any horse, mare or gelding over six years old, the race was worth 100 guineas. Each horse was required to carry a weight of 12 stone. The race consisted of three separate heats, each four miles long. Sadly there was no record of who claimed first place. Although founded by a Queen and located on Crown property, the administration of Ascot is handled on behalf of the Crown by a representative appointed by the Monarch. The Ascot Authority was established in 1913 by an

Ascot Racecourse closed for a £200-million redevelopment in 2004, and was reopened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on 20th June 2006. During Royal Ascot, The Queen traditionally presents the Gold Cup and The Diamond Jubilee Stakes. New versions of these trophies are made each year and presented to winners to keep. As an owner and breeder of racehorses, The Queen, and has had great success with her own horses over the years. In 2013, she watched her horse, Estimate, triumph in the Gold Cup. A dedicated racehorse owner, The Queen has attended every Royal Meeting during her reign and the Royal Procession is always an iconic moment to herald the start of every race day. Royal Ascot has become the centrepiece of the British social calendar and is marked by the tradition of opening Royal Ascot with the Queen Anne Stakes.

Kiko Veneno heads a new edition of Alamar, which will be from 15 to 18 June
Alamar, the world music festival, will return next week with four concerts, which will take place from Wednesday 15th to Saturday 18 June, on the Esplanade next to the Gypsy Inn annual all at 10 p.m. and entry free of charge until full capacity is reached. Thus has today unveiled it the Councillor responsible for the Area of culture, education and traditions, Ana Martínez Labella, who pointed out that “Alamar thus returns to its origins, ahead a bit to the dates of the last few years, every time that the programming comes loaded with thickness of performances for the Festival of theater of the Siglo de Oro, the 50th anniversary of the Festival Flamenco or more commercials this summer concerts”. All this is integrated in the programming of the Almeria Summer Festival, that soon there will be more activities. The highlight of the Alamar 2016 Edition will come with its opening night. Kiko Veneno is responsible for opening the Esplanade adjacent to the Gypsy Inn, “the Almeria can enjoy the Friday night white and Alamar debut as a stage more”. Kiko Veneno is part of the history of music in Spain since take that revolutionary album called ‘Poison’ in 1975. All this has fused flamenco with pop, rock, Latin sounds... with its hallmark. ‘A real star that we believe that is going to attract a good number of music lovers’. The next day, Thursday 16th, will be the turn of Tetouan Asmir Ensemble. It’s a set that consists of musicians of Tetuan, the Andalusian city par excellence of the Mediterranean, which aims to rescue and disseminate the musical heritage of Al - Andalus, as linked also to the city of Almeria. On Friday 17 will travel to Portugal with the musical project Minha LUA, born halfway between Andalusia and the Portuguese country, which offers a renewed interpretation of the traditional fado, both in the instrumentation and the staging, and delves into the vocal and instrumental possibilities of this musical genre, declared patrimony of the humanity. With the voice of Victoria Cross, deepen the ethnic root of Fado, influenced by Al - Andalus Arab melodies or Indian and Persian music. Finally, on Saturday, June 18 it will close with Aywa. of different origins. His style is very unique since it brings together songs of the Maghreb to reunite with the rock and the world with touches of jazz music. They reactivated the codes of the traditional music from the Balkans to the Rai and African music and combine it with different current music influences. A great climax for four intense days where is reinforced the openness and integration of the city and that exemplifies the tolerance towards other cultures and, in this case, other musics. http://www.teleprensa.com
THANK YOU ‘PEPE MORENO’ OR PETER BROWN
The Roquetas branch of The Royal British Legion recently paid a visit to Pepe Moreno’s Vintage car Museum just outside El Ejido. The members and friends found it most interesting and nostalgic to see all the vintage vehicles, over 65 vehicles, including motorcycles, which had been collected by Pepe from being a very young boy. The party can be seen in the photograph, and some of the cars and other vehicles. A few of the cars were English built and the collection included an old V12 Jaguar sports car that once belonged to Spain’s King Juan Carlos. Pepe made the group very welcome and also provided light refreshments, which included wines from the family vineyards. Visits can only be made by appointment and the Legion are planning another visit later in the year.

Nobody knows why people need sleep. Most of the time, no matter how much we’re fighting it, the body will eventually shut down to get some rest. Many people, however, seem to believe they know why we can’t fall asleep easily and what we can do to fix that inconvenience. Why someone is sleep deprived is usually
his or her own fault. Daily habits and life style get in the way. But don’t be quick to judge because they may have been misinformed, causing a vicious cycle of bad habits leading to chronic tiredness

How much sleep people need varies with every person and is also genetically determined, Dr. Doghramji says. Some people, depending on age, lifestyle and habits (some of which may cause premature aging), may need five hours while others can’t function unless they get at least 12 hours of shuteye. “The best way to judge is if you feel great after several weeks of sleeping certain amount of hours, “he adds.

The quality of sleep during the day is not the same, Dr. Doghramji says. “One hour of sleep at night does not equal an hour of sleep in day time due to your biological
clock trying to keep you awake,” he adds. You make wake up often and not reach REM sleep.
Myth: Naps don’t do any good Quick power naps, which may be a secret to live a long, happy life, can make you more alert. Napping during the day is especially beneficial to people who work in shift, according to Dr. Doghramji. The best kind of nap is 20-30 minutes long and taken around the same time during the day, he adds. Avoid extended naps after 4 p.m. because they can mess with your ability to fall asleep later.

Myth: You can catch up on sleep on weekends Getting up at 6 a.m. every day, and then suddenly sleeping until 1 p.m. on weekends, disrupts the body’s internal clock. “Don’t extend your wakeup time during the weekend by more than an hour or you’ll pay the price,” Dr. Doghramji says. On Monday and Tuesday your body will want to sleep more and you’ll feel tired and groggy all day.

This product is designed to specifically target spot fat reduction (inch loss) without surgery, the pain or the recovery time. By targeting adipocyte cells (fat cells), the process offers an effective and safe solution to fat reduction, which can be carried out on several areas of the body. “This is a contradictory question to which science doesn’t have a great answer,” Dr. Doghramji says. Some experiments show that older people are not sleepier during the day if they haven’t slept much at night, but others indicate the opposite. They need as much sleep as when they were in their 30s, but the quality had decreased because health problems mess with our ability to sleep.

Space Neil Armstrong was the first to walk on the moon; Buzz Aldrin followed him fifteen minutes later, immediately getting his name into the record books by becoming the first to pee on the moon. NASA edited the live feed so on people on Earth didn’t see Buzz undoing his flies; no seriously the space suits were fitted with special bags designed for that mundane purpose. The special bags were shaped like condoms; NASA designed three sizes for the Apollo astronauts to choose from before they blasted off. Men being men, they all chose LARGE. So to preserve their masculinity the bags were renamed large, gigantic and humongous. Space has a smell; on the Space Station, astronauts returning from space walks have reported an aroma reminiscent of grilled steak and welding fumes in the airlock. NASA has been unable to replicate the smell on earth. The weird smell is the nearest astronauts get to tasting a steak as the near zero gravity makes liquids rise so they get blocked noses as the mucus rises in their bodies. This makes tasting doubly difficult as not only are they bunged up but food aromas float away before they can reach their taste buds. Earth with our one solitary moon has nothing on

How the Poppy Appeal Money is spent in Spain The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces Community. At the Legion we are often asked “How much money do you raise for the Poppy Appeal and how is it spent here in Spain?” So having researched this, here is a “snap shot” of some of the ways we were able to help our beneficiaries last year. Firstly, we must thank all those generous people in our District of Spain for once again supporting the Legion. All nationalities donated to the Poppy Appeal and last year we raised over 171,000€ - a truly amazing amount. So – How was the money spent? Each year our enquiries are slightly different but here is a breakdown of just some of the help we were able to give with YOUR donations. • Stair lifts • Mechanical wheelchairs and scooters • Refurbishing homes so beneficiaries had a better standard of life, ie changes to a bathroom or bedroom • Wood, oil and solar panels have been purchased for isolated properties There were also smaller items, gas canisters, fridges and food, as well as dental bills and help with purchase of spectacles. Our caseworkers are always busy visiting and spending time with potential beneficiaries. The definition of a beneficiary is someone who has served in the Armed Forces or their dependant(s). On some occasions we are able to “sign post” someone to another charity or organisation and this means the person can get the best possible help available. If you feel the Legion may be able to help you or a relative you can either ring 676 451 780 or email welfare.rbl.dns@ gmail.com Details of the various Branches in the area are on our website www.britishlegion.org.uk/counties/spainnorth or you can email us on secretary.rbl.dns@gmail.com. Come along to one of our meetings or events and meet new friends and enjoy an active social life. Peggy Wyatt, Public Relations Officer, The Royal British Legion District North Spain.

Worried Gibraltarians look set to vote to remain in EU
Residents feel that leaving would be economically disastrous and might create further problems with Spain. To some, the upcoming referendum on whether Britain stays in the European Union might not be that big of a deal. But here in Gibraltar, the possibility of a Brexit means the world. Residents of The Rock are afraid that an ‘Out’ victory will endanger their unique and profitable economy, which has all the advantages of EU membership while simultaneously offering investors significant tax incentives. Politicians of all stripes and civil society have launched an aggressive campaign to explain to citizens of the territory that it would be a terrible mistake to abandon a market of more than 500 million people. Gibraltarians who still don’t know which way they’re going to vote on June 23 must surely be living under a rock. There are few places that better represent European influence in Gibraltar than Corks. Formerly an old Irish pub that smelled of beer, it is now a modern restaurant with a colonial look. The owner, Gino Giménez, 45, refurbished the place with EU funds, and when he was done he proudly hung a sign outside the door with the 12 yellow stars against a blue background. “A Brexit would be a disaster for us, at the economic and the political level,” he says. “I have 14 workers, all of them Spaniards, who come and go every day. What will become of them?” Tourism, insurance, online gambling (a sector that employs 3,200 people), ship bunkering and financial services drive an economy that barely knows the meaning of the word unemployment. A low corporate tax of 10% and VAT-free shopping keep the engine running, and as a result Gibraltar has barely felt the crisis that has crippled much of the rest of the world. The idea that all this could come to an end drove lawyer Gemma Vásquez to promote the Stronger in Europe campaign.
“We’ve been self-sufficient for the last 30 years. That comes from the fact that we have implemented EU regulations,” says Vásquez, who feels confident that her message has reached every one of the 30,000 llanitos who live here.
Gibraltar’s Main Street looks a lot like an airport terminal: there are dutyfree stores on both sides selling tobacco products, watches and electronic devices. Halfway down the thoroughfare, a portrait of Elizabeth II presides the entrance to an old Franciscan convent. This is where the representative of the British Crown, Lieutenant General Edward Davis, resides. A police officer wearing glasses and sporting an enormous tattoo on one arm is guarding the building. — Would it be possible to know the governor’s opinion on Brexit? — No, that’s not possible. — What about the queen’s opinion? — Try the phone. Right across from here is Jury’s Café, where Chief Minister Fabian Picardo is enjoying a cup of coffee. The head of the Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party feels that Brexit would be a disaster to the British Overseas Territory’s economy, and fears that without European laws to protect it, Spain might close off access to pressure for its return. In his mind, that would be detrimental to both nations. “Every day, 10,000 people cross the border, 7,000 of them Spanish. We are an economic engine of growth in the region, the second most important factory in Andalusia after the Junta [regional government],” he says. Picardo adds that Gibraltarians are massively supporting Brimain after hearing Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel García-Margallo state that if Brexit prospers, Spain will ask Britain for shared sovereignty over The Rock. elpais.com

NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER AND GOING BACK TO ENGLAND - 7 POINTS TO CONSIDER Question: My mother and father need to move back to the UK due to very bad health, with my mother moving into a home immediately on her return. They own a house and a bank account in Mojacar. Have you got any recommendations for things I should be thinking about from a legal point of view, while I am in Spain, to help them organise their return. Answer: I would at least address the following matters: 1. Make sure their Spanish wills are in good order. Even if they are, it may be time to reconsider the clauses. If, for example, one of your parents is very ill it may not be convenient for the other partner to name him /her beneficiary.
2. Locate the title deeds to the property and their NIE numbers. 3. Make sure Internet banking is set up on their Spanish bank account. 4. Your parents may wish to consider signing a power of attorney for you to deal with their Spanish assets. 5. If they are resident and over 65 they are entitled to sell the property free of capital gains tax. 6. When you get back to England start working on an enduring power of attorney to be used in the UK. 7. Meet their solicitor and/or financial advisor in Spain before you leave. Very important: The above are the essential things that come to mind but there could be more. A chat with your solicitor with all documentation available is recommended.

Spanish Provinces Where VPO Housing is More Expensive
Spanish House Prices Rose by 1.3% in May
Housing prices in Spain grew by 1.3% in May and by 1.5% in the first five months of the year. This accumulated increase, however, is lower than the 1.9% registered up until the end of April, and highlights the slowdown observed since the beginning of the year. According to the May IMIE index prepared by property appraisers, Tinsa, since the maximum price levels this indicator registered in 2007, the average price of housing in Spain has declined by 41.4%. Of the area categories analysed by Tinsa, the Capitals and Large Cities as well as the Balearic and Canary Islands registered the best data in May, both showing growth in their average prices of 3.5% year-on-year. The Mediterranean Coast registered a price increase of 1.6% over 2015, while in the Metropolitan Areas the price of housing rose by an average of 0.7% yearon-year. Only in the Rest of the Municipalities category was the average value below that registered a year ago, with a decline of -2.5%.
So far in 2016, average prices on the Mediterranean Coast remained at the same level as the beginning of the year, while the Capitals and Large Cities and the Metropolitan Areas both recorded accumulated growth of 1.3% in the first five months of the year, the Rest of the Municipalities recorded growth of 1.5%, and the accumulated growth in the Balearic and Canary Islands stood at 4.2%. El Economista reported that, since the maximum average prices recorded in the real estate boom years, the Balearic and Canary Islands are the only group to register a decline in the average price of housing below 30% (-29.8%), while the Rest of the Municipalities also registered a decline below the national average, of -37.3%. In contrast, the Mediterranean Coast, with a decline of -48.1%, is the area where prices have fallen most in the last nine years, followed by the Capitals and Large Cities (-44.7%) and the Metropolitan Areas (-44.4%) kyero
Focusing on smaller area to give our clients a better service.
According to data from the Spanish Ministry of Public Works, VPO housing in Spain (public or subsidised housing) cost an average of 34.2% less than free housing (housing on the open market) during the first quarter of the year. However, there were 12 provinces and one region where VPO housing was more expensive than free housing. Jaén was the province, in the first quarter, where VPO housing was most expensive compared to free housing, costing 23.3% more, followed by: Ciudad Real (+14.6%); Lleida (+13.3%); Toledo (+11.7%) and Cuenca (+11.5%). A further seven provinces which had public housing prices higher than free housing prices, albeit to a lesser extent, were: Guadalajara (+1.8%); Castellón (+4.5%); Valencia (+0.7%); Lugo (+1.8%); Segovia (+0.4%); León (+3.6%) and Huelva (+1.9%). In contrast, the report published by idealista. com noted that there were two provinces where VPO housing was less than half the price of free housing prices. These were Guipuzcoa (-124.9%) and Vizcaya (-101.2%), and with VPO prices more than half the price of free housing were Madrid (-54.4%), Barcelona (-64.8%) and Alava (-67.2%). Castilla-La Mancha was the region where public housing was more expensive than free housing in the first three months of the year, with the VPO housing costing 5.3% more than housing purchased on the open market between January and March. kyero

The Population Explosion ‘The Crazy Bitch Gazette: The magazine
Alqueria’s has a falling population. Those that pass away are not being replaced, the birthrate is zero. This is not because the process of human procreation isn’t practised, it is practised with ‘gusto’, the Pueblo’s national sport in fact. The problem is Remitroot, both an aphrodisiac and strong intoxicant. It leaves the male seed so disorientated it doesn’t know if it is Accession Day, Midsummer’s Day or the anniversary of the Battle of the River Plate and they often head off in the wrong direction. Also individuals seemed to prefer dying than actually living in Alqueria. Something had to be done and Alqueria opened its doors to controlled immigration. Those readers whose memory hasn’t been totally destroyed by their consumption of Remitroot liquor may remember that only two immigrants satisfied the qualification process. Tonto Tomás and Crazy Carmen. As their names suggest some people paddle in very shallow gene pools. They seemed perfectly suited for life in Alqueria. It would perhaps be interesting to describe these two additions to the population in some detail. Crazy Carmen is a singular lady to say the least. Whether or not the term ‘lady’ applies to Carmen is open to some debate but we will go with the biological definition until we have official confirmation. She filled in the immigration form by accident believing it to be a subscription to the
for the terminally flaky’. She has two major claims to fame. She can belch ‘A Las Barricadas’ after eight glasses of Remitroot beer and spit further that Soggy Sosima the ‘All Comers Alqueria and District Phlegm Champion’. But she has a kind heart, at least we hope she has, she definitely needs a redeeming feature. Tonto Tomás is the virtual opposite of Carmen, his spitting prowess is on a par with that of an asthmatic Drain Fly. As for belching, after two of the required eight glasses of Remitroot beer Tomás is inclined to faint. Tomás is in a perpetual state of distraction with the attention span of a confused sardine. His distraction is such that he is distracted by distraction itself and has never completed a single task in his life. Tonto Tomás and Crazy Carmen are well matched however. Carmen’s physique has little in the way of femininity and that includes breasts. Tomás however has a very confused body, all the muscles seem to be in the wrong places and his limbs don’t know the value of team work. While Carmen is flat chested, Tonto Tomás has man breasts, but this isn’t a problem as after all someone in any relationship has to have a pair of tits.
Little Cat Heaven
Mr Tommy Fluffipants has been quite successful in bending me to his will. However, there is one matter which is still under dispute – the bedroom. He considers that he should be allowed in the bedroom and on the bed whenever he fancies, but I consider that the bedroom is out of bounds for all animals at all times. I point out to him that not even the dog, nor even that loftiest and most superior of all beings, his mother, is allowed in the bedroom. The other day he found a chink in my emotional blackmail armour. I was feeling less than sparkly, more like a cold anti-cyclonic depression moving in from the Baltic, so rather than contaminate the house with my doom and gloom I took myself to bed. I must have gone to sleep, because I was awakened by a small thump on the end of the bed. I opened my eyes, and there, frozen in landing position was Tommy, his perfectly round eyes locked into mine with an expression that was the feline equivalent of ‘Ooops!’ I had neither the strength nor the inclination to turn him off, so I said ‘Hello Tommy.’ Relief flowed through every hair on his small body as he realised that he was neither invisible nor in trouble. He curled himself into a little furry ball with his back to me, on the basis that if I can’t see you, then you can’t see me. However, Tommy prefers the stretched-out posture for sleeping, so it was not long before he began to

He stretched and wriggled his way up the bed until he could reach my hand. Fixing me with a beseeching look he stretched his front paw out and pulled my hand towards him. I stroked his little soft pads (he likes that) and removed my hand. Up came his paw again, and once more my hand was pulled very gently into contact with him. I stroked his pads again, and removed my hand. After the third kidnapping of my hand I gave up. He lay, stretched out on his back, his paw wrapped around my finger, a seraphic smile on his face, purring like a well-tuned but very small motorbike. He was in Little Cat Heaven. I felt better, too!

Tips for Dining in Spain
Blame it on Spain’s reputation for incredible high-end dining, on tapas crazes abroad or any number of other things, but one fact remains, there are a lot of misconceptions out there with regard to what it’s like to eat in Spain. From the idea that Spanish people love spicy food to the assumption that paella is consumed throughout the country, people’s expectations of what they’ll find when they come to Spain are riddled with inaccuracies. In most cases, it’s easy to realign your thinking on the spot, but to give you a head start, we’ve put together a list of 10 things that are useful to have in mind before visiting. 1) Choose your table wisely Outdoor dining is incredibly common in Spain and tables are typically available on a
first come, first serve basis. If you choose to sit inside, many times you will find a bar area, with or without tables, and a more formal dining space. The prices and even the menus can vary according to where you sit, so keep an eye out for that when choosing your seat. The bar section of a restaurant is almost always self-seating while more formal dining rooms may require reservations. If there is a price difference by seating, it shouldn’t be extreme. You will either be charged a flat “service fee” for sitting outside, or there will be an extra column on the menu that lists price differences according to where you are sitting. 2) Let menus help you when deciding where to eat Especially in tourist-frequented areas, avoid casual places with menus translated into a variety of languages. If you want to get a taste for the local gastronomy, your best bets are often the places that offer menus in Spanish only. Another thing you will notice are menus with photos en lieu of translating everything. Most places with photos of dishes are geared towards tourists, locals don’t need pictures to figure out what they want to eat. Finally, keep an eye out for chalkboards, menu inserts or sandwich boards listing a menú del día, or menú for short. A menú has a fixed price and a set of options to choose from that change daily. Menús are usually much cheaper than ordering dishes a la carte, plus they almost always come with extras like bread, drinks and dessert. 3) Don’t waste time figuring out what you want to drink Waiters will frequently ask for your drink order as soon as you are seated and before you are anywhere near ready to order your meal. It’s advisable to look at the drinks immediately and then move on to what there is to eat. Generally speaking, your options will be beer, wine, soda or water. Many restaurants serve cocktails as well, but they are rarely included as an option with a menú del día. Water in Spain is typically not free and you normally have a choice between still (sin gas) and sparkling (con gas). If you don’t want bottled water, you can ask for tap (agua del grifo) but don’t be surprised when your waiter looks at you like you’re crazy. http://partaste.com

The Blue Flag Campaign
ALMERIA-Almeria closes its headquarters for holidays from Monday, 13 June, 30 of the same month, as it is becoming customary for years, although activity will continue to door in in the red and white Atletico entity. During this period of time, in which management staff will take a few days off, not cater to the public nor the official store which is located at the headquarters of
the UD Almería, in the Mediterranean Games Stadium will be open. In spite of this, as we said, activity does not cease; quite the opposite since are numerous issues to deal with during these weeks, especially in the sporting aspect and in relation with the campaign of fertilizers for the next season, subjects that already it is working. http://www.teleprensa. com

David Cameron has said the government might not be able to protect spending on pensions, the NHS and defence in the long term if the UK leaves the EU. The prime minister said Brexit could cause a “black hole” in the public finances and threaten the “triple lock” guaranteeing state pension increases. He told Andrew Marr “our economy would be smaller” if the UK left the single market leading to “difficult choices”. Vote Leave said it was “a frantic attempt to rescue a failing campaign”. With less than a fortnight to go before the referendum on the UK’s EU membership on 23 June, other developments include: ٠ Voters have ‘had enough of threats’ says Nigel Farage ٠ A British diplomat suggested visafree travel for some Turks ٠ The Archbishop of Canterbury backs Remain while comedian John Cleese declares for Brexit ٠ Labour has urged extra EU funding for communities facing pressure from migration ٠ Reality Check: Would Brexit mean cuts to pensions, defence and the NHS? On the penultimate weekend before the crunch vote, Mr Cameron has used a series of newspaper articles and a BBC interview to warn of the financial consequences of Brexit, saying it could put at risk ring-fenced future funding for public services. He said forecasts from the Institute for Fiscal Studies suggested Brexit could lead to a shortfall in the public finances of between £20bn and £40bn which would need to be “filled” either by tax rises, extra borrowing or spending cuts. In their 2015 election manifesto, the Conservatives promised to extend the so-called triple lock on state pensions, a guarantee that they rise every year by at least 2.5% - or the rate of
inflation or growth in earnings if it is higher - until 2020. While pensioner benefits were a “policy priority” and he was committed to honouring manifesto promises, the PM said £90bn was spent on it every year and it was among many existing commitments that might have to be reexamined in a post-Brexit climate. ‘Fear on steroids’ Meanwhile, Chancellor George Osborne said the armed forces could see their budgets slashed by £1bn1.5bn a year, telling the Sun on Sunday that Brexit would mean “a new dose of austerity, more years of public spending cuts”. He said: “If we leave the European Union, Britain is smaller and so Britain’s armed forces will be smaller and that means fewer planes and ships and personnel to defend us.” But pro-Brexit ex-cabinet minister Iain Duncan Smith accused his party leader of a “vindictive and desperate attempt to bully and frighten the British people”. ‘Worst instincts’ Amid reports Remain wants Labour to take the lead over the next 10 days to shore up support among their supporters and undecided voters, Gordon Brown has said the opposition will put forward detailed proposals to help communities cope with high levels of immigration. “It is time now for us to step our efforts up,” the former prime minister told Dermot Murnaghan on Sky News. “We have got to show people the positive benefits - that you are not voting for the status quo, you are not voting for insecurity. Meanwhile,

the Archbishop of Canterbury has said he will be voting for the UK to remain in the EU, adding that Britain should be “a country for the world” and warned against “succumbing to our worst instincts” over immigration. Writing in the Mail on Sunday, the head of the Church of England, the Most Rev Justin Welby, said he would vote to stay in the EU to avert economic damage that could harm the poorest. “We each have to make up our own minds,” he said. “But for my part, based on what I have said and on what I have experienced, I shall vote to remain.” BBC
Book Review
Elizabeth Is Missing by Emma Healey
www.carolnaylor.blogspot.com - www.carolesleynaylor.wordpress.com - naylorcl@hotmail.es
“I’ve missed this tiny thing for nearly seventy years. And now the earth, made sludgy and chewable with the melting snow, has spat out a relic. Spat it into my hands. But where from?” It seems that Healey’s paternal grandmother who had been showing signs of senility came out with the simple but inspiring phrase that prompted this debut novel: “My friend is missing.” The critics loved it. I loved it. Healey didn’t want it to be too bleak portraying a vulnerable octogenarian showing signs of dementia, trapped in a life of boredom and tedium: watching or attempting to watch tv, attempting to read when the words don’t make sense, waiting endlessly for the carer or the daughter. What a life! Nine publishers fought over its publication and the tv rights have already been sold. Suggestions regarding Judy Dench or Maggie Smith playing Maud are strong possibilities. Watch this space! Maud is 82, eccentric with an obsession for collecting anything and everything. She has done this since being a child but when it continues into old age it is infuriating for her daughter Helen. Most of it is rubbish after all. “Sufferers often seek refuge in a childhood version of themselves.” (Healey) Dementia transforms a previously safe and recognisable world into one that is frightening and strange and the author captures this remarkably well. So it is appropriate to run two timelines, one that takes us back to post-war (1946) when Maud was a 15 year old and then move to present date. The plot flits backwards and forwards and significantly the author uses various means to connect both timelines, a character or a memory of an event. Very clever. The potential bleakness is understanding the degeneration of Maud’s mind, her inability to sometimes recognise her daughter or her granddaughter, Katy. Imagine losing your way going to the corner shop, with pockets full of lists, her “paper memory,” many meaningless and taking home umpteen tins of peaches, the same every day. Or what about twelve calls to the doctor telling him you are ill in a short space of time then when he arrives telling him you are fighting fit? Also imagine that your one and only friend Elizabeth just disappears and in her muddled mind, Maud suspects that Peter, Elizabeth’s son must be responsible for getting rid of her. She never trusted him, she thought he was deliberately starving his mother. Maud makes several unsuccessful attempts to visit her home, reports the disappearance to the police on four separate occasions to their amusement and her agitation then puts an ad in the local Echo. Phoning Peter during the night and forgetting why she was phoning him caused him to swear and complain. Poor Helen was always having to apologise. Carla, one of the carers didn’t help either. She relishes feeding Maud with the latest gossip particularly the gory bits which results in a distortion of Elizabeth’s disappearance: “Elizabeth locked in room-crack addicts in house. Bound and tortured in basement.” Ironically, Maud knows that her friend doesn’t have a basement so something isn’t quite right. So much for her paper memory. The whodunnit part of the story is the major one to follow and it will keep you

riveted. It is woven into the Elizabeth is missing plot meticulously and concerns half-forgotten memories which hold the key to a dark secret from the distant past, an unsolved mystery. “I found it too late, far too late. Now I’ll never find her. She’ll always be missing and I’ll always be looking for her. I can’t bear it.” It is the discovery of the remains of a compact belonging to her sister and found in the garden of her octogenarian friend Elizabeth. “The mildewed mirror is like a window on a faded world, like a porthole looking out under the ocean. It makes {Maud} squirm with memories.” Sukey was Maud’s sister, seven years her senior and sophisticated. She loved dressing up and going dancing. Maud idolised her and they had a close relationship. Sukey married Frank who was a dodgy character and Maud’s lodger, Douglas disliked him intensely. He saw Frank as being a jealous man with a foul temper. Douglas had a soft spot for Sukey and he was always at Sukey’s house particularly when Frank was away working. Maud suspected they were having an affair which he denied. An agitated Sukey came to visit Maud and family for tea as was the weekly custom and she wanted to sleep there rather than return home. She then abruptly decided to return home and disappeared into thin air. This was 1946. Naturally her family was distraught and Pa blamed Frank. He thought she had been kidnapped or killed although he searched the town for her and even travelled to London scouring the streets in vain. The police had to deal with lots of cases of men and women disappearing so Sukey’s disappearance became unremarkable: “People are being reported missing left, right and centre. The men can’t get used to being back on Civvy Street, or the women can’t get used to having their husbands home again, and so they’re off.” A suitcase full of her clothes turns up but no Sukey. Two further devices are used to create mystery. One is the mad woman with a dark but tragic past who seems to stalk Sukey and Maud in a menacing way. On the night of Sukey’s disappearance the mad woman scared the living daylights out of her and neighbours heard her screaming. Maud is petrified when she chases after her on many occasions. She has been known to grab Maud and hit her with an umbrella. What does she know about Sukey’s disappearance? What is significant about her digging up of marrows? Is there a connection? If so, what is it? The second device is the narrative thread concerned with the Grosvenor Hotel murderer, Kenneth Lloyd Holmes due to hang for the murder of two women. In Maud’s demented mind perhaps Sukey was his third victim? “I had to know if he killed my sister.” So she writes to him before his execution. Maud’s mother and father died not knowing what happened to their daughter. “I don’t want to die like that,” admitted Maud. By the end of the novel past and present become fused with memories muddled. Earlier lucid thoughts change shape, lost in her state of dementia with this unsolved mystery. Well-written but unsettling. Publisher: Puffin. ISBN: 978-0-241-96818-5

Euros 2016 Report We
shouldn’t be surprised. England dominated the opening half against Russia, and looked the better side for long stretches. On the balance of play, England deserved to win. But “deserve” has nothing to do with anything— sports aren’t a meritocracy. You have to take your chances, and put the game away when given the opportunity. England didn’t do that, allowing Russia to stick around after Eric Dier gave the Three Lions the lead in the 73rd minute with a marvellous free kick. The Russians were dreadful on this day—pedestrian in their build-up play, and looking slow and plodding most of the time—but they nicked an equalizer deep into injury time via a Denis Glushakov header after the English defence switched off. Really, England should have won this game. Not that they were particularly brilliant—you have to think far better sides would have exposed that midfield three of Dier, Dele Alli and Wayne Rooney— but because Russia was so tame and offered next to nothing going forward. The English team’s recent history in opening games at major tournaments makes for grim reading: drawing the U.S. (2010 World Cup), losing to Italy
(2014 World Cup), and drawing France (Euro 212). In total, England has never won its opener at the European Championship (losing four of nine matches), and now they must face their two toughest opponents of the group stage: Wales and Slovakia. Based on how they performed against Russia, you wouldn’t favour England against either of those nations. England might feel aggrieved with this result. But the truth is, they got exactly what they deserved for not killing off the game. What a moment for Wales. Playing in their first major tournament since the 1958 World Cup, this Welsh side marked its Euro debut with a hardfought win over Slovakia. Gareth Bale (what a spectacular free kick goal!) and Aaron Ramsey were immense in attack, linking up effectively to put pressure on the Slovakians. But it was the team’s unheralded heroes that also came up big. Defender Ben Davies was immense, quarterbacking a back line that was well-organized and gave way very little. Substitute Hal Robson-Kanu scored the late winner, while Danny Ward looked steady in net in only his fourth appearance— Wayne Hennesey was ruled out with a back injury after starting every
Marina Phoenix Golf Society The individual stableford at Marina Phoenix on Monday 6th June saw John Lally bring his recent run of good form to a peak with a win, in the men’s division, with 41 points. Second was Ali Mahmud (38) followed in third by Jim Budd (37). There were two’s prizes for Jim Laird (14th), Jim Budd (5th) and Ali Mahmud (17th). The ladies division was won, on countback, by Linda King with 33 points. Margaret Budd, with the same score, was second and third place went to Isobel Jones (30). Thursday’s team game was a stableford waltz with two holes for each player to double their score. The winners by one point were Tony King, Alf Taylor, José Urroz and Jim Budd with 110 points. Following in second, on countback, were Bob Craig, Paul Dyar, Phil Tottie and Rhoda Elwick (109), ahead of John Lally, Jim laird, Stephen Kavanagh and John Kavanagh (109). There were nearest the pin prizes for Rhoda Elwick (5th), Barry Heery (14th) and Don Atkins (17th). Marina Phoenix play Mondays (individual) and Thursdays (team game). To join us for a €25 greenfee. confident about after this display. As Coleman said in the post-match press conference, there’s nothing for Wales to fear, and that includes England. Playing in their first European Championship, Northern Ireland arrived in France as a fan favourite among neutrals. Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Poland gave us a glimpse of just how hard it’s going to be for them, though. Don’t be fooled by the score, as it flattered the Northern Irish who were overpowered and outplayed by the Polish. The Euro debutantes worked hard and performed valiantly, but they couldn’t retain possession and couldn’t string a series of passes together. It was telling that they didn’t have a single touch in the Polish box or produce a single shot on goal in the first half. With games against Ukraine and Germany looming, it’s hard to see how the Northern Irish are going to get anything out of this group. For all of their spirit and work ethic, Northern Ireland lack quality and depth. Gerard Pique finally broke down the Czech Republic’s stubborn defence with a goal in the 87th minute to give Spain a 1-0 victory in the opening match of its European Championship title defence on Monday
minute of the qualifiers. Credit to Wales, too, for staying composed after Slovakia tied the game in the second half and began to take control of the game. Chris Coleman’s side valiantly fought back and kept doing what worked so well for them early on in the match, and were duly rewarded. A workmanlike effort for Wales, complimented by the class of Bale and Ramsey. It all sets up quite nicely for Wales, who next face England on Thursday in Lens for control of Group B, a game the Welsh will feel pretty

Record Score for Myra Dickson
On a perfect day for golf on June 10th, Forum Golf Society’s first visit of the year to Marina Golf in Mojacar for an individual stableford saw some excellent scoring from several players, none of whom could get anywhere near the day’s winner Myra Dickson, who’s score of 48 points broke all sorts of records. It was the highest ever individual score in the society’s 9 year history, eclipsing the previous best of 45pts set by Wendy Greaves last year. It also earned Myra the largest ever handicap cut of 9.2 shots! Dave Jordan was second, beating Byron Sherlock into third place on countback after both players scored 40 points, a total that on virtually any other day would have been enough for a comfortable victory, with
Dave Greaves (38 points) fourth, Malcolm Tilley (37 points) fifth and Peter Tinsley (35 points) sixth. There were also four nearest the pin prizes on offer, three of these going to Brian Gyer, Peter Wright and Douglas Dickson and the fourth rolling over to the next event after no one managed to get on the relatively easy Par four fifteenth hole in 24th June Stableford at Aguilon 8th July Double Par Medal at Aguilon 22nd July Stableford at Lorca For further information, contact Phil Elam on 666 847840 / philjelam@yahoo.co.uk, or see www. forumgolfsociety.webs.com

Muniain implicated in sexual assault; De Gea affected
De Gea and Muniain implicated in sex assault case According to Eldiario.es a protected witness has implicated Muniain in taking part in the assault and of De Gea of organising the event where it took place. El Confidencial maintains Isco was the other player involved in the assault. According to Spanish news website Eldiario.es a protected witness in a case brought against porn baron Ignacio Allende Fernández, has implicated Athletic Bilbao player Iker Muniain in being involved in a sexual assault, and David De Gea of being involved in organising the encounter where it took place. The protected
witness named the footballers as part of her testimony given during an investigation into porn producer Allende, known as Torbe. He was jailed in April for human trafficking with the aim of sexual exploitation, sexual assault, sexual abuse of minors, the production and distribution of pornographic material featuring under-age girls, extortion, money laundering and tax offences. According to El Confidencial the other footballer, who was unidentified by the witness in her statement, was Real Madrid player Isco. However investigators believe there is confusion over who this other individual was, with later information provided possibly indicating a different player. According Spanish daily El Mundo police sources have not yet seen sufficient evidence to prove an offence took place. Asked about the case
Property management Roquetas de Mar, Aguadulce Enix, La Envia Golf
the sources said: “Where an offence had been committed, they [the players] would have been detained immediately”. According to the victim’s version of events, as published by eldiario.es, Manchester United keeper De Gea messaged the witness to arrange for her to meet porn producer Torbe at the hotel. Torbe then took her to the suite loft of the hotel, with the promise that she would earn a significant sum of money, but that she had to do whatever the footballers wanted. In the suite, where the sexual assault supposedly took place the victim says she met another woman and two footballers, one of whom was Iker Muniain. The other player was allegedly another then Spanish Under-21 international player. Highly credible witness The Spanish police investigating the incident said the protected witness’ statement was “highly credible”. The Spanish police’s report on the witness’ statement states the following: “Having brought TP3 (Protected Witness 3) to the room with the other girl, Torbe told her that they had to be with the footballers,

Tel 902 750 190 The Russian Football Union has been charged by European football’s governing body over fan disturbances at Stade Vélodrome on Saturday. UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against the Russian Football Union following crowd trouble at the end of the Euro 2016 match between England and Russia in Marseille. Russian fans rushed on their English counterparts moments after the final whistle of the sides’ Group B draw on Saturday, punching and kicking retreating England supporters, some of whom were forced to scale barriers to escape. Crowd disturbances, racist behaviour and fireworks European football’s governing body said a decision on sanctions would be made within the next few days, once Russia had been able to submit written statements. Russia have been charged for crowd disturbances, racist
behaviour, and setting off fireworks, UEFA said. This followed three days of violent skirmishes on the streets of the city. However, the body also confirmed that incidents that occurred outside the stadium perimeter fell out with its remit. “Totally unacceptable” “UEFA expresses its utter disgust for the violent clashes that occurred in the city centre of Marseille, and its serious concern for the incidents at the end of the match inside Stade Velodrome,” explained UEFA in a statement. “This kind of behaviour is totally unacceptable and has no place in football. “UEFA acknowledges that there were segregation issues at Stade Velodrome and will implement corrective measures to strengthen the deployment of security personnel at stadiums, in close collaboration with local authorities.” http://en.as.com/
and that they had to do whatever they wanted and that they [the girls] would earn significant money. When TP3 refused, Torbe took her roughly by the arm, saying they had to do whatever the footballer wanted, having sex with the new girl and her”. “Both the new girl and TP3 were sexually assaulted by the footballers, given that if they refused they were physically attacked by both, and moreover, when the footballers’ sexual desires were satisfied, the footballers threatened them in order to ensure that what had happened in the room would never see the light of day. Neither TP3 or the other girl who was in the room received anything for the physical and sexual assault they suffered, with Torbe taking all the money”. http://en.as.com
