In your outline, you will support your thesis with logical thinking and compelling evidence. You will begin planning the structure of your research paper, and an outline is the best way to create that structure. Then you will post your thesis statement and outline to the discussion forum for review by your peers.

Instructions 1. Review the strategies for developing a strong thesis statement in Chapter 6. Then review your initial reflections on the topic for your research paper in Assignment 3.2 and the research you are doing for your source review.

2. Begin your outline by synthesizing your learning on your topic into a thesis statement for your research paper.

3. Then, in a Word document, create an outline for your research paper. If you created note cards during your research, begin by organizing the note cards into related groups. These groups will become the “letters” of your outline and, eventually, the paragraphs in your paper.
