KADMI (The Korea Association of Digital Moving Image) receives great satisfaction to acknowledge Gye Joong KIM for his achievement in this academic organization as he has been working as one of member of academic directors. Since KADMI was founded in 2005, it has registered as official academic organization as well as its publication proved by National Research Foundation of Korea, governmental institute with authority over academic activities by universities. One of major contributions by Mr. Kim is that he organized several editions of film festival, INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL MOVING IMAGE FESTIVAL, hosted by KADMI 2006 to 2008. It was very much important to the organization because the festival has intended to extend the field of academic research to wider area than that which was limited only to the publication series of academic journals. This challenge has been to explore joining points between cinema and other moving image arts. Gye Joong KIM took the superb role to initiate and manage the annual film festival, in order to make the goal possible. Mr. Kim has exhibited the same enthusiasm for his excellent ability in academic department as well, by serving as one of members of board of academic directors. He participated in setting up the management system for the biannual evaluation for academic journal by Korea research foundation. He has also high ability of communication skill and coordinates successfully complicated tasks to complete with other members of the association, which has given him bigger possibility of developing the organization. It was a real honor to witness Kim’s achievement and contribution. He would be excellent model as important member of our organization than Mr. Kim.
