DISCOVERED BY: Resident NATURE OF SERVICE REQUEST: Unexploded military ordnance ACTION TAKEN / RESOLUTION: Items collected/transported for disposal ASSISTING AGENCIES: ATF&E FBI MSP OTHER ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A local Huntingtown woman located several pieces of what were believed to be unexploded military ordnance belonging to a deceased relative while cleaning out a storage shed on her property. Most of the items were determined to be military novelty items, but several pieces were discovered to be live military training ordnance. All live ordnance was secured and prepared for safe disposal. Anyone encountering unknown military ordnance is advised to contact the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office bomb squad or local law enforcement agency.
