Pack smart
Check what the weather will be on the dates you are in Dubai. Be mindful of dress codes and customs especially in more historical areas and places of worship. While Dubai is generally relaxed, it is best to dress modestly, even for children. Women may be required to wear head scarves and clothing that covers the arms, shoulders, and legs when entering mosques.
Summer essentials
It is best to bring loose clothing that covers your arms and legs. Swimwear is allowed in beaches, swimming pools, spas, and for other water–related activities. Late May to October are the hottest months, with temperatures reaching over 100 degrees. Bring items that will prevent sunburn such as lip balms, sunscreen, sunglasses, wide–brimmed hats, and even umbrellas. Wear appropriate footwear to avoid burning your feet on beach sand. Do not forget to pack water to avoid dehydration. Winter wear
From December to February, pack a light jacket or sweater as thedesert can become quite chilly in the evenings. For women, pashminas or scarves can provide warmth or as a modest cover–ups. You can still dress as you are like in the summer months as Dubai is warm and humid all throughout the year, but may be a little bit colder during the winter

I was packing for my trip to England! I was the most excited I had ever been! I had wanted to visit London, England ever since I knew what it was. I was ecstatic that I had won a trip from J.K. Rowling, the author of books that I had cherished since 2nd grade, and I couldn't wait to spend days with my aunt, the person that read the books to me and was one of the best people I knew. An all expense paid trip with one of my favorite people to a destination I dreamed of ever since I could talk was unimaginable and yet, it was about to happen! My aunt Lindsay arrived on Wednesday morning. "Are you ready for the best thing ever?" She already knew the answer but I smiled brightly, assuring both of us that we were about to have the best time of our lives. I wheeled my overpacked suitcase outside and put it in my grandma's trunk. Once my grandma dropped us off at the airport around 8:00 a.m. Lindsay and I enjoyed our overpriced starbucks coffee as we fantasized about the amazing things about to occur. We boarded the plane and headed off on our 10 hour flight toLondon. The only solution we could find to fill this 10 hour time frame was a Harry Potter movie marathon. We watched movies until our eyes hurt. We were halfway through the 5th movie when our plane landed in the London City Airport around 8 p.m. which was midnight London time. We took a taxi to our hotel and I gazed out the grimy window at the beautiful city that I had only seen pictures of before. When we got to our room at the Shangri–La Hotel we were welcomed with more breathtaking views of the London skyline. We fell asleep quickly. I found it ironic how tired a day of doing virtually nothing could make you feel. The next day I woke up to an alarm at 11:00. The four hour time difference was going to take some time to adjust to. Lindsay and I ordered some room service breakfast. It was some of the best french toast I had ever had. We got ourselves ready and we were headed out of the hotel to begin our first full–day in London! Our first stop on the trip was to the Covent Garden District, a shopping center in London. My aunt was telling me that the square was designed by Inigo Jones and in 1661 a small market was introduced. The market was Get more content
Descriptive Essay On A Beach Trip
Good Mornin'!
It was beautiful.
It was the summer before senior year. I was invited to go on a beach trip with five other friends. Our journey started as soon as I saw the sign, "Next exit Outer Banks". When we entered the city we lived in for the week I was in awe. It was beautiful. Our house we lived in was amazing, there were two floors in the house. The lower floor had four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The boys, Robert, Luke and Jake slept in one room and the girls, Olivia, Chloe and I slept in the room beside them. The upper floor had one bedroom and bathroom, a giant living room and connected was the dining room and kitchen. When you walked out onto the upstairs balcony you could see a beautiful view. If you looked down you could see our private pool and hot tub. If you looked straight out, the ocean was right there. Everywhere you walked you could smell the strong amazing aroma of the ocean. Once everyone unpacked and settled in we all walked to the beach.
The group and I was so lucky because the beach was only a block away. As soon as we walked off the walk ways that were above the dunes, my feet were on fire. I realized we were on the hot sand now. The scenery we all stepped into was breathtaking. I for one got stuck in the moment and took in the view while the world around me kept spinning. I heard Olivia yell my name to "Let's go!" She said it in such an excited voice. I ran up to her and gave her an enormous hug because I was just so happy. Chloe was so

Descriptive Essay On A Trip To The Mountains
I have known a place tucked away in the Blue Ridge mountains for a majority of my life. My family and I take an hour and a half long drive up to the mountains almost every weekend. Although the drive is always tiring, the final destination is always worth the trip. Personally, my family calls this place a second home. As a result of the cabin, my appreciation for nature grew and I started to learn the path to gaining a more peaceful, enjoyableapproach to life. Up in these mountains is a cabin: a sanctuary built for relaxation. As I approach the cabin, I'm immediately greeted by a gentle breeze that makes my cheeks redden and my smile grow. The breeze continues to blow and the trees sway slightly to produce a song created from the swaying of the Evergreen trees that rub against each other, and the leaves sliding across the dry ground. On lucky days , the bellowing whistle of the train blows greets us and combines with the sound of the wind to create the music of fall in the mountains. Stopping in my tracks, I look around in awe to see all of the colors under the sun mixing together in the trees to form the perfect mixture of bright yellows, wine colored reds, golden browns, pale greens, and dull or extravagant oranges. Ordinarily, a slight mist will ascend from the river and form at the top of the mountain, giving it a mystical appearance that came right out of a book. This mist slowly fogs my glasses as the cold air meets my flushed skin; however, I don't remove my Get more content

In 2004 my dad, brother and I planned a trip with our South African friend, Fritz, to visit his home country. He acted as unofficial tour guide and cultivated the trip of a lifetime. The memories created during nearly two weeks abroad will stay with me and shape the rest of my life. At twelve years old I traveled over 36 hours from Atlanta, Georgia toSouth Africa. This amazing trip started with an overnight stay in Kruger National Park and a wildlife safari. We were warned of the vicious packs of hyenas, the stampeding elephants, and infamous lions. The beautiful wildlife was just the beginning of amazing sights and experiences. Next we took an adrenaline filled Zipline tour rushing through lush jungle, hiked to magnificent waterfalls and views from God's window. My experiences in the African savanna and jungle fortified my desire for adventure, hiking, exploring and love of the wilderness. Traveling towards the city I thought the road signs warning of carjackers in remote areas would be the most shocking memory of South Africa. Nothing could have prepared me for what the City of Gold exposed to me. We attended school with Fritz's nieces, learned a few Africans terms and interacted with kids our age. This all white school where thirteen year olds showed off their new bellybutton rings is a stark contrast to the atmosphere in the Soweto.
An educational tour of the history infused Soweto was imperative in justifying missed school days. Located just south of

Effective and Fun Means of Learning: Field Trips!
Sometimes a classroom can't teach everything. To change things up, day trips allow for a diverse learning experience for students. School field trips are an effective means of fun, interactive learning; the MET museum as well as the Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey are two ideal trips to plan following Pascack Hills High School's tenth grade English curriculum and reading of Shakespeare's Macbeth. Field trips are a refreshing and potent change of pace from an enclosed school environment. These day–long excursions are capable of enhancing interactive means of learning; they "add new dimensions to education through "teachable moments" that seldom occur in the classroom" according to...show more content...
Having a trip focus on a specific subject/unit only adds to a students focus and ability to properly retain organized, clear information. Planning these fixed field trips will engage students by peaking their own interests and thus providing a more productive learning experience. Amongst many locations for a field trip, the Metropolitan Museum of Artis one of the most ideal to visit. This museum, is located in New York City roughly 40 minutes from Pascack Hills High School. Ms. Donahue, an English teacher at the school, has three small classes with about 15 students per class; this trip would accommodate for these students with an addition one to two teachers. Those attending would be expected to be at the school ready to depart by 8:10 in the morning. After arriving and checking in (all students must pay $20 in the form of a permission slip to their teachers prior to the trip), students are free to wander the museum by themselves. Around 12, students will be advised to meet at the building's cafeteria for lunch, though they may eat at any time. Bagged lunches will not be an option and all attendees must bring at least $20 for lunch; they may also bring additional money for the gift shop if desired. By 1:15, all students and teachers will meet in a planned location and be prepared to go back to the school. With any extra time

A family road trip isn't a family road trip without a few disasters thrown in to balance out the fun. No, sadly they can't all be idyllic. Family Road Trip Essay
Sometimes I get overwhelmed with my schoolwork or things I have to do. Other times I want to go to a quiet place where I can think clearly. However, most of the time I just want a quiet place where I can walk for exercise. For me, that place is the forest. Luckily, a person I know owns forestland that has trails and roads to walk on. Whenever I want to walk, no matter what reason, I know I can go to this forest. Today I am going to the forest to look at the fall scenery and hopefully see some wildlife. The forest is a calm and peaceful place where you can go to relax and enjoy nature. At the entrance of the main forest trail, there are bright red, orange, and yellow leaves on the trees. These colorful leaves form a carpet on the ground as they fall. The carpets of leaves on the ground stand out from the green ferns and bushes that grow all along the trail. As I walk along the trail, the fallen leaves crunch under my feet. The scent of all the leaves fills the air. Chipmunks are running at the speed of light around the forest collecting nuts for the winter. If I pay close enough attention, I can even see the chipmunks going underground into their holes. Leaves are rustling as a breeze blows them around the forest. Birds of various sizes and colors are chirping and singing throughout the forest. In the distance, woodpeckers are pecking at the trees. The sounds from the birds and leaves add to the tranquil atmosphere. The trail leads to a large clearing that is on the top of a

Family Trip Have you ever been to a place where you are feeling like you can stay there and it will never get old? When I was a young child, I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I love to travel. Descriptive Essay Trip
One of the greatest ways to learn about the world around us is to take a trip to visit new places. This past summer, I flew from my home in Florida to take a road trip with my aunt from Roanoke, Virginia. We went to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was an amazing experience to be able to visit the place where my family originated.
Our trip started in Roanoke where my aunt and I made our way to Canada driving through the night. Unfortunately, since it was dark, I was unable to see anything. I did, however, get to have time to talk with my aunt and get to know her a little better. After a long eleven hour drive, we finally made it to our Canadian destination. After resting a few hours at another aunt's house in Milton, I was ready to become tourist for a few days. My first stop was Niagara Falls just north of the Canadian border.
Niagara Falls is the largest waterfall by volume in North America; and is one of the largest tourist attractions. Even though it was extremely crowded making viewing difficult; the experience was worth the inconvenience. I was able to walk around and see some of the area surrounding the falls. The town of Niagara has great places to shop, as well as, wonderful restaurants. I enjoyed spending time with both of my aunts and one uncle. On the way back to my aunt's house we stopped off at my favorite restaurant, Swiss Chalet. This franchise is only in Canada, which makes it a must stop place for my family and I to eat. In my opinion, their chicken and

The Most Memorable Trip Essay
On this weekend, we had the Haa field trip. This trip is the most dangerous experience I have had during the time I spent in Bhutan. We left RTC compass on Friday morning. The way to Haa took us 4 hours, relatively short compared to the trip to Gasa, but it's still exhausting. We first visited Tshewang's home in Haa. He told us his family travelled a lot in the previous time. They will travel with all the life supplies and animals they have. The animals include horses and cows. These animals eat grasses really fast, and they always need to travel in order to eat. I guess the life they had before was very tough, yet it is just a feeling not until we experienced it ourselves. Essay On Field Trip
Project: Let's Hit the Road!
A field trip is a tour by students to gain firsthand knowledge away from the classroom, as to a museum, a factory, a geological area, or to an environment of certain plants and animals.
Field trips can connect schoolwork with the world, making it tangible and memorable. It stimulates questions and ideas at the beginning or end of a unit. They also provide an experiential "text" for students to study and interrogate.

My Vacation to Nassau, Bahamas
When I was in eighth grade I went on my first trip out of the country to Nassau, Bahamas. Going on this trip was one of the most exciting and unforgettable times of my life. Not only was it a fun experience, it was also the first time I realized that I love traveling. While there I was lucky enough to visit many places, such as Blue Lagoon Island and the beautiful Atlantis Resort, and immerse myself in the Bahamian culture. My time in The Bahamas was not my only great memory from that trip. The journey to get to The Bahamas itself was also quite interesting. There was only one week before I left for my trip to the Bahamas. My dad had already booked our trip and he told me we were staying in the little hotel across the street from the Atlantis Resort inNassau, Bahamas. To be honest I was pretty upset about it. Although before leaving for our vacation I was given the great news from my dad that we were not staying at the hotel across from the resort and we were actually staying at the huge Atlantis Royal Towers section of the Atlantis Resort with a great view. This news had completely brightened my day. Two days after finding out the fantastic news we left for the airport at around three o'clock in the morning. We flew out of O'Hare International Airport so we had to ride on a tram to get the airport where something happened that, to me, is rather coincidental. Since it was only three in the morning there was no one on the tram except for my parents and I, along with a young couple. Once we got off the tram we made our way to the gate for our flight to Miami, Florida to board the connecting flight to Nassau. When we got on the plane we recognized the people in our row as the same young couple we saw on the tram earlier in the morning! After landing and making our way to the connecting flight we noticed that the young couple from the flight was going to the Bahamas as well. I just thought that the encounter was a pretty interesting coincidence and is something that I will probably remember for quite a while. After experiencing the memorable and somewhat coincidental journey to the Bahamas we decided to take a boat from Nassau to Blue Lagoon Island. I would describe Blue Lagoon

Last year, my mother took a trip to Italy for an entire month. While in Italy, she had the chance to see many fascinating things including the Roman Coliseum. She visited the most beautiful beach on the Caribbean Sea with white sand and crystal clear water and while swimming there, she got to see a rare species of fish called the Parrotfish. Rome, Florence, and Venice were just some of the many places she visited while on her Italian trip. While in Rome, she bought a replica of the Roman Empire's old battle helmets and stood outside of the coliseum to take a picture. She tasted authentic Italian cuisine including the Italian version of my favorite food, Bacon Cheese Fries. When she came back home, she told me all about the culture of Italy and told stories that she heard from the locals. She said that the way they live there is very different from here in America. I want to take a trip to Italy so I can take a picture with and explore historic landmarks that Italy is known for, I want to taste authentic Italian cuisine from its natural place, and I want to take a fishing trip to the Mediterranean Sea to catch exotic fish . To begin with, I want to see many of the landmarks that Italy is known for. My personal favorite is the Leaning Tower of Piza because of how the structure leans to one side and it's unlike any building. I want to stand underneath the leaning side and take a picture making it look like the tower was falling on me. Another landmark that I would like to

The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has been an exhausting yet enjoyable time running around with my classmates in the airport. Being in a different country and experiencing a new culture first hand was astonishing and gave me a new outlook of the beauties in the world. From Montone, Florence, Venice, andRome I had the ultimate trip in Italy. The food, language, and culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of drinking wine with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was breathtaking to see how many free artworks was there for the public. After being in Italy for about a month I can see why people are attracted and want to live in Italy. Montone is a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly town. I enjoyed the walk to town, the covenant, Aries CafГ©, the tavern restaurant, and the town's people. I had the best cappuccino and coffee at Aries and I loved every dish I ate at the tavern restaurant. The view from the covenant was beautiful and works perfectly for a painting.
