Where do forty years disappear in the course of a life? Forty years in art sharing beauty, philosophy, friendships, relationships, intellect, poetry and emotion. An art dealer enjoys a unique relationship with artists, unlike all other relationships in life — to understand, grasp the genius, beauty and intent behind a work of art, often connecting into the soul of an artist, then to present and translate this brilliance to another human for the purpose of enjoyment and to enrich their life With the unexpected external destruction of our historic mill, due to climate change ooding three weeks ago, I faced an existential crisis determining the future of the gallery. This show was planned to celebrate 40 years in business. With a terri c team we pulled together a temporary space in record time in order to present the exhibition. Now I know it was all worth it.
