A mountain guide and emergency doctor, Pierre works with mountain rescue units (PGHM and CRS). A great explorer, he led numerous expeditions in Central Asia, Svalbard, Greenland and Patagonia. With his mountaineering friends he has climbed a large number of walls in the Alps (including the North Face of the Eiger and the Matterhorn in winter). He has climbed in Pakistan, Madagascar, in the Sahara and Yosemite. He is a Skier Emeritus and a doctor specialized in perilous environments, responsible for ensuring the safety of Free Ride competitions in the Alps and the Caucasus. On this trip he will be seconded by Alexandre Bompard, another famous guide.

Aurélien Ducroz

Born in Chamonix, Aurelian Ducroz is 31 years old and loves extreme skiing and navigation. He started with the ski jump (twice champion Junior France) and seeking more freedom and wilderness he combined snowboarding and high-altitude trekking. He quickly achieved the highest skill level and with his smooth descents and jumps, he doubled for the actor in the feature film «Snowboarder.» His specialty is freestyle. He joined the World Tour circuit where he won prestigious titles (Engadin snow, Xtreme Verbier, Snowbird World Cup in the United States). In 2009 and 2011 he was crowned Word Champion Freeride in Verbier. As a native of Aix les Bains born into a family of restaurateurs, Jean Sulpice has cooking in his blood. Jean Sulpice received his first star at the age of 26, followed by his second star at the age of 31, making him a true phenomenon in the world of gastronomy. He has lived with his wife, Magali, in Val Thorens since 2002. This young Savoyard chef, trained by Marc Veyrat (among others), chose to bring his culinary talent up to the summits. Thus, he has not chosen a particularly easy path… “High-altitude gastronomy can never work.” How many times have you heard this sentence? Nevertheless, Jean Sulpice is a gourmet mountain man. For 10 years, he has elevated Savoyard cuisine to the highest level, featuring local farmers and produce in his gastronomic creations. 10 years of passion and perseverance landed him two stars and made the Oxalys the highest-altitude starred restaurant in all of Europe. A spirited athlete and lover of the mountains, Jean Sulpice likes to think outside the box and draw his inspiration from nature. He values an instinctive approach in the kitchen – one of precision and balance that places the emphasis on produce without any bells or whistles. “My cooking is, above all, dictated by nature and by the desire to please. It is an inspired cuisine that doesn’t compromise on taste or respect for produce – a cuisine based on the coherence of flavor and texture.” 10

Detailed Program day 1 alpes d’huez

Installation in Chamois d’Or ****. Free ride skiing in the area of Alpe d’Huez / Grand Sablat. Back to the resort. Lunch at the Altiport restaurant.

day 2 the «three valleys»

Transfer by private car from the hotel to the airfield. Drop down in Val Thorens. Free ride skiing in the Three Valleys: Glacier Death Meribel, Mont Vallon Meribel, Lakes in Mount Mass, row Saulir ... (depending on your level, possible variation Gébroulaz glacier - 1h30 walk - for a descent to the Rock of Fishing. Lunch in Pralognan and return by bus.). Lunch at Oxalys (2 Michelin stars). Night inChabichou **** (Courchevel).

day 3 La plagne / les arcs

Bus transfer from Courchevel to Champagny. Ski in La Plagne, north face of Montchavin. Lunch at «Béliou la Fumée» (Les Arcs 1950). Afternoon: Aiguille Rouge free ride, Combe Lanchettes, By-Avalanche, Grand Collar (40 ‘walk) and descent to Villaroger. Private Transfer to Val d’Isere. Night in Tsanteleina ****.

day 4 val d’isere

Free ride on the Espace Killy: Col Pers, great Vallon, Arround Charvet, arround Dome Pramecou, Col du Fond des Fours (1:30 walk). Lunch at Super Signal (in Fornet). Night in Tsanteleina ****.

day 5 courmayeur

Private transfer to the airfield. Flight direction Val Grisenche. Drop down on one of the 32 spots allowed. Downhill powder. Breakfast at the inn Val Grisenche and possible new drop downs. Private Transfer to Hotel Baita **** (Courmayeur).

day 6 chamonix

Private transfer to the gondola Hellbronner or by Chamonix Mont Blanc tunnel. White Valley or Black Valley or ski in the Grands Montets. Lunch at «Maison Carrier». Dinner and overnight at the Albert 1er (one Michelin star).
