AR-15 MANUAL

BROTHERS N ARMS ///////////////////// Brothers N Arms is dedicated to all who have served and stood on the wall defending others while they sleep, to those that have stood together-back to back, watching out for one another, and those who have put the safety of others before their own. We are a company founded by Marines and want to salute every Military and Civil Service member for the time they have committed to serving our country and others. Thank you to all who have stood before us, those currently serving, and those of the future. Many ask the meaning of our Brothers N Arms logo. The logo symbolizes two “Brothers in Arms” watching over one another. It was created to show the loyalty, commitment, and security one has when your “brother in arms” is standing guard, watching your back, and dedicating his life to protecting his comrades. When you see our logo, remember the men and women dedicating their lives for our safety, watching over each other and our country. SEMPER FIDELIS

////// YOU SHOULD CLEAN AND /////////// INSPECT YOUR RIFLE: 1. Before firing ‑ see that the barrel is clear and unobstructed, and that the rifle is lubricated properly. 2. After firing ‑ clean the rifle immediately after firing. This will reduce the chances that corrosion will set in, and the carbon deposits are easier to remove if they haven’t had a chance to set in. 3. Periodically - depending on the environment (salty air, dusty, humid, etc.) your rifle will need care from once per week to once every six months. Of course, if the rifle gets wet at all, clean and lubricate it immediately.

LUBRICATION OF THE RIFLE //////////// It is important to lubricate the AR to ensure its proper functioning and to prevent rusting. These rifles will continue to function when dirty as long as they are lubricated. Lightly moisten a flannel patch with high quality gun oil. Run the patch through the bore. If the rifle isn’t likely to be used soon, leave the oil film inside. If the rifle is to be used, then run a dry patch through to remove most of the oil. Repeat this process on all the surfaces of the rifle with either an all purpose firearms brush or a clean soft rag. After use: with a clean cotton patch apply a light film of oil to the following areas prior to reassembly:

1. 2. 3. 4.

Outsides of the bolt carrier Outside surface of the bolt Top of the bolt carrier key Buffer assembly

5. 6. 7. 8.

Forward assist Charging handle catch Underside of the charging handle Outer surfaces including sling swivels, compensator

DURING EXTENDED USE //////////////// It may be necessary to lubricate your rifle during extended periods of fire. To accomplish this you will simply need to push out the break down pin out. The rifle will pivot on its pivot pin and you can remove the bolt and charging handle. You can then lubricate the bolt carrier group, charging handle and interior of the upper receiver. You can then reassemble the components and continue firing.
