PROJECTS 2013
In association with:
Delivering quality is always a challenge. But nothing is more important when it comes to delivering major projects. These buildings must last for decades. They will have to work well and efficiently and they will have to look good. And, because of the impact they invariably have - projects make the difference between whether a village, a town, a city and even an entire country works or fails.
PROJECTS 2013 In association with:
The MEED Quality Awards for Projects 2012, therefore, is much more than a simple celebration of success. It is more than a moment to applaud those behind some of the greatest projects ever seen. Its ultimate purpose is to support and salute the architects, engineers, builders, financiers and clients at a comprehensive programme of social and economic development that will change the Middle East and the world for the better. This is a noble cause that MEED is proud to support.
Rewarding Best Practice
March 2013 National Winners announced March, April, and May 2013 Table bookings open May 2013 The MEED Quality Awards for Projects in association with Ernst & Young - Gala evening consisting of dinner, entertainment, awards presentation of the overall winners from each category
The first MEED Quality Awards for Projects, presented at a wonderful gala dinner in March 2011, was a stunning success. What made it special were the number of winning projects that are already recognised as global icons. They showed the GCC and the Middle East has come of age and is, in many respects, showing everyone else how to conceive, build and run great projects. So the standard for the MEED Quality Awards for Projects has from the start been set high. But if you feel the your project is good enough, then don’t hesitate. Tell the world about what you have achieved by completing your MEED Quality Awards for Projects 2012 application now! Saudi Arabia’s position as the largest economy in the Middle East has been enhanced again this year by a further rise in the average price of crude oil to $110 a barrel so far this year compared with about $108 a barrel last year. Saudi Arabia’s crude oil production, meanwhile, has increased to almost 9.9 million b/d for the year so far.
Event Partner:
This conference will seek to answer that question and all the others you might have about trends in the Saudi Arabian infrastructure market. I’m sure it will be compelling. I look forward to meeting you all in person.

Higher oil in come has supported record public capital expenditure and growing private investment in buildings. The result is that the kingdom’s projects market is booming. The biggest issue therefore is capacity: does the construction community serving Saudi Arabia have the resources to deliver the project the kingdom will need in the years to come?
