Happy Women's Herstory Month, PINK

Diamonds!! It is March 2023! This is the month to celebrate WOMEN!! We create, lead, direct, empower, inspire, and encourage everyone but ourselves! We toil on projects and then forget to celebrate when it's done. We merely nod our heads and then go to the next project, assignment, task, or destination. This month all month long Ladies I challenge you to celebrate your Herstory!

Also, this month is St Patrick's Day! I actually have Scottish and Irish heritage in my family tree I am learning to embrace both my Bajan and Scottish/Irish heritage There is an Irish Proverb that makes me smile, "I wish that every day you will be happy from the start, and may you always have good luck and a song within your heart." While I don't believe in luck I do believe having a positive attitude like turning your frown into a smile can truly send blessings to come in abundance!

Ms. Achievement Barbados 2023

I am elated to share that I am the Inaugural Ms. Achievement Barbados 2023 and I will compete in July 2023 for Ms. Achievement World 2023 virtually. My platform is The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) music society with a mission to preserve Black music culture one record at a time. I decided to compete in this pageant because I am on a heritage journey of my Bajan roots My Great-grandmother Mrs Adelaide Barker Melrose came to America via Ellis Island in the early 1900s. I grew up around my Nana but I never asked her about Barbados as a child. I wish that I had asked her questions about her homeland. I am so excited to announce this year marks my 10th Anniversary of producing my loving tribute to the Legendary Songtress Phyllis Hyman that has been supported by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Former First Lady

Chirlane McCray, The Hyman Family, The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society and Friends of Phyllis Hyman! We have partnered with The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society to produce a soundtrack album and documentary to be released in 2024! This is the month for you to "Shine Resplendently" all day every day! What does "resplendently" mean? It means a very bright or beautiful appearance A synonym for this word is "glorious!" I use this word because everyone has a light that shines from within. It's called your glow! I want to encourage you to find peace and love in yourself to share your glow with the world for the entire month of February 2023! Do not allow anyone to dim your "gloriousness!" LOL! If you are looking for LOVE start with loving yourself, share your inner glow and I guarantee LOVE is sure to find you! This is the month of LOVE and everyone deserves to be loved That includes you reading this page! If you have love already keep shining resplendently to each other and grow in your love's glow! LOL! I founded PINK Diamonds Fitness Club in 2017 on Facebook to share my progression towards getting fit. I want to start sharing my fitness journey again in 2023. I have been up and down with my weight management my entire life. This year I am determined to get back down to my college size of 10-12. I will share each month tips, recipe of the month maybe a drink or meal. I really want to share and I would love for you to share with me your progression.

PINK Diamonds Dream is a mentoring and coaching firm for creatives I remember when I was younger I really wanted a mentor or a coach to help me with my aspirations to become a singer and fashion model. Although I studied Fashion Merchandising and Design during undergrad and I worked with many musicians as well as fashion designers I really wished I had a mentor to help guide me at the beginning of my career.

I have been very blessed to help the career of musicians, beauty queens, and models over the last 30 years It is my way of giving back to my younger self by helping young people in Houston and New York City pursue their dreams in the arts in excellence.
