Ms. Achievement Barbados 2023

I am elated to share that I am the Inaugural Ms. Achievement Barbados 2023 and I will compete in July 2023 for Ms. Achievement World 2023 virtually. My platform is The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) music society with a mission to preserve Black music culture one record at a time. I decided to compete in this pageant because I am on a heritage journey of my Bajan roots My Great-grandmother Mrs Adelaide Barker Melrose came to America via Ellis Island in the early 1900s. I grew up around my Nana but I never asked her about Barbados as a child. I wish that I had asked her questions about her homeland.
