The
Strombolie II
hold back.
he original Strombolie was one of the most iconic and influential shoes in skateboarding’s long and storied history. It’s minimal and straightforward design was a welcome departure from the bulky and over-embellished styles of the time and helped establish DuFFS as a leader in skateboarding footwear. We’d like to say that we’ve done exhaustive market research and sales figure analysis which indicate now is the ideal time to update and reissue this classic style. We’d really like to say that. However, the truth is that we just can’t come up with any better ideas. Plus, everyone else is doing it, right? I guess they can’t think of any better ideas either. Actually, I think I might be selling the Strombolie II short. It’s really quite good. It’s slimmer and better fitting than the original. It’s also on a unique vulcanized outsole with a wraparound tread reminiscent of the original. The Strombolie II also features an updated, and much lighter, version of our BoneSaver insole. Some ideas are built to last. Behold...
Thou hast created all things
and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
The
Cobnobbler II
rignially, the Cobnobbler was a huge success for DuFFS, but it was a bit like a smarter, more handsome younger brother that couldn’t quite get out of the shadow cast by his more charasmatic older brother. This time around we hope that the Cobnobbler II is more like a fraternal twin, different, but the same. Equally awesome and ready to conquer the world alongside his brother the Strombolie II. With its first quality suede and durable canvas materials and genuine vulcanized construction, it should be up for any task. Or, maybe it’s an evil twin. Maybe when you wear the Cobnobbler it will be all mischief all the time, and when you wear the Strombolie II you’ll help old ladies cross crosswalks. Who are we kidding? You’re not helping old ladies, you can’t even remember to take the trash out. You just keep stomping it down until it’s packed down like a crushed car in a junk yard.
The
The
Pedro Lo
Carver
an Pedro California was named for St. Peter of Alexandria, a Fourth Century bishop in Alexandria, Egypt. The original inhabitants didn’t name the area that, as usual, it’s the conquerors that get naming rights. San Pedro peninsula was once the homeland of the TongvaGabrieleño Native Americans. I don’t know what they called their homeland. I’m sure Cooper would have been happy to call his shoe whatever it was. Cooper is pretty easy going like that.
he name of this shoe, “The Carver”, would seemingly imply that its endorser, Cooper Wilt, is a sidewalk surfer. You could be forgiven for thinking that you’d find Cooper gently drawing elegant lines of crests and troughs all over the undulating town of San Pedro like a modern day Stacy Peralta. Sadly, that’s not the case. The truth is that this shoe’s name is shameful attempt at bringing in some of that long board money that’s making the long hairs rich. Come on bro’s, you don’t want to ride those unwieldy sleds in flip-flops. No way! You need some of these sweet Carvers, by Cooper Wilt. They’re made from suede and cotton twill. They’re vulcanized with a super cushy PU insole and they’re stylishly mid-topped. Radical.
Behold, We cometh with clouds;
and every eye shall see Us.
The
Avid
he Avid features an all-new tread pattern that offers up to 13% * more grip than other tread patterns in its class. In skateboarding, as in life, the importance of grip can not be underestimated. How many times have you been told to “get a grip”? Or, have you been told to “hold your horses”? That has to do with grip doesn’t it? I imagine holding beasts as powerful as horses would be no easy task if you were to have a weak grip. It should now be abundantly clear that the up to 13%* more grip you’ll get with the Avid’s new swervy wervy tread is more than enough reason to make a purchase post haste.

Oxford
ur lives are all infinitely more complicated than they were even just a couple of decades ago. I know, you were a baby then, but you know what I mean. Simpler times. Not so tied to technology. A slower pace. Back then, even if you were in a hurry, at least you weren’t getting a phone call while you were rushing around to add to the madness. I’m no Luddite, I love technology, but some things should be simple. Classic.
The Oxford is an example of this. It’s just a good old fashioned, honest sneaker. No bells. No whistles. No marketing hype technology. Sometimes all a shoe needs is top-quality materials and a refined pattern to stand out. Ok, maybe some of these colors aren’t exactly subtle, but man can’t live by bread alone. right? Man can however live in super grippy cup soles, first quality suede, comfy mesh linings, and color pops to match your favorite new old looking t-shirt.

Dresden
ven the most manliest, most mustachiod of men don’t want to only have only one pair of shoes. Maybe you’re going to the bar. Maybe you’re riding your bike to the bar. Maybe your jeans are especially slim. There are a myriad of reasons why your torn up skate shoes might not be the ideal footwear solution for your days plans. The fact that your closet contains more than one pair of shoes doesn’t make you any less of a man. Unless of course one or more pairs of those shoes are high heel pumps. Barring
that, I’d say it actually makes you more of a man. That’s right, a real man is always prepared. A real man has a solution for every problem. At DuFFS, we’re real men. We make footwear solutions for all things a real man will likely endeavor to do. Skateboarding, no problem. Bicycling, no problem. Looking awesome while drinking at a bar or a friends backyard. No problem. In fact, I’d say these Dresdens will just about suit any situation. We’ve got canvas and suede. Bright colors and darks. Maybe all a man needs is a few pairs of Dresdens. Sounds good to me.
The
The
G5
Revert
he G5 is incredibly light. So light in fact that you’ll be able to ollie higher, run faster, jump farther, turn sharper, bunnyhop bigger, flip quicker, well, you get the idea. I guess we don’t actually have any real data to verify any of this, but the G5 truly is an exceptionally light shoe, so it would stand to reason that without extra weight to lug around performance will increase. It’s also a pretty handsome shoe so it would stand to reason that you’ll pull chicks more readily while wearing them. Right?
e believe a good skate shoe should be made from a durable material, most preferably something that once had a face. We believe it should be comfortable and breathable so that you won’t get swamp foot and have to end the session early to go get fresh socks. We don’t believe socks are absolutely necessary but without them, no shoe can prevent swamp foot. We believe the Revert fits the bill nicely. We believe you’ll believe so too.
The
Ridge
e all like to go camping right? The smell of the great outdoors. The expansive skies overhead without the city lights to block out the views of the stars at night. The bugs. The hours long, muscle shredding hikes to the top of a lung collapsing mountain. Yeah, not so much. If you’re like us you’re probably keeping it pretty close to the car. Just enough wilderness to drown out the road noise but not to lose a cell connection. Much like the Ridge. They’re durable and rugged enough to give you all the traction you need to make it to the cooler and back without spilling your beer. What more do you need?
