Welcome from Head Coach Bob Stoops Many times I have been asked what I like most about being the head football coach at Oklahoma. Obviously it’s impossible to settle on just one thing, but I can tell you something that always comes quickly to mind ... the hunger this place has for championships.

GAME DAY IN NORMAN
2005 OKLAHOMA FOOTBALL Looking back over OU’s history, you can see where some might be tempted to sit back and be satisfied. There have been seven national championships, 39 conference titles, 23 bowl victories and 141 All-Americans.
COACHING STAFF
Despite that, every time a game or honor is won here, the next thought, for our team and fans alike, turns to winning the next one. I really like that about Oklahoma ... there is always something else out there for us to attain. That attitude is reflected in what has happened here over the last five years. During that time, we’ve won more games (60) and had more national award winners (16) than any other program in college football. We’ve spent 22 weeks at No. 1 and been listed in 72 consecutive polls. There is no better feeling for a coach than to see his players pleased with their college experience. In both team and individual achievement, we see a lot of that here, and it drives our program.
THE SOONERS
Another year awaits and another championship opportunity is ahead of us. At Oklahoma, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
