Media Policies

Print media will be stationed in the upper-west area and will have access to the media room located in the south tunnel via the elevator or stairs. The media area will feature three rows of tables and work areas. Game notes will not be printed, but a flip card with a scannable QR code to game notes will be provided.

Per Big 12 policy, two media seats will be designated for visiting team media in 2022-23. Should the visiting team’s press corps choose to not attend the game, the seats will be reallocated to home media members.

›› CREDENTIALS

Media who have a scannable credential from 2022 OU football home games should use the same credential for basketball home games this season. Credentials for Oklahoma home games are issued to working media only and should be requested as early as possible. Make requests to Josh Poteet in the OU Athletics Communications Office via email (jpoteet@ou.edu). The University of Oklahoma follows the guidelines set forth by the NCAA and the Big 12 Conference governing the issuance of credentials. Requests for single-game credentials should be made at least 48 hours in advance of the game.

›› CREDENTIALS PICKUP

Credentials for OU home games may be picked up in the tunnel entrance beginning two hours prior to tipoff. Photo identification is required for pickup and each media representative must claim his or her pass (no group pickups are allowed). The same entrance will be used by media who already hold a credential.

›› MEDIA PARKING

Media members should park on the southeast side of the arena (area shaded gray on attached map). No pass or payment is required.

›› PHOTOGRAPHERS

Photographers and videographers must shoot from the Lloyd Noble Center baselines. No photo spots will be assigned for regular season games. Because of space limitations, photographers are encouraged to arrive early to secure a position.

›› VISITING RADIO

Visiting radio crews are positioned next to their team’s bench, on the north end of the east sideline. Analog and ISDN lines are furnished.

›› INTERVIEWS

Non-postgame interviews with University of Oklahoma basketball players or coaches must be arranged through Josh Poteet (jpoteet@ou.edu) of the OU Athletics Communications Office and requested at least 24 hours in advance of the desired interview time. Only postgame interviews are allowed on game days.

›› POSTGAME INTERVIEWS

Following each home game, a 10-15 minute “cooling-off period” will be exercised. Following that period, Oklahoma head coach Jennie Baranczyk and select student-athletes will be made available simultaneously.

The OU locker room is closed to media at all times.
