SOONER SPORTS NETWORK

University of Oklahoma men’s basketball games air via Learfield Communications and the Sooner Sports Network. The network consists of stations throughout Oklahoma. OU fans may also catch the live broadcasts via The Varsity Network. Sirius satellite radio also carries most Sooner Network games.

“SOONER SPORTS TALK”

Each Thursday throughout the season, “Sooner Sports Talk” provides fans across the state an opportunity to talk OU basketball with head coaches Porter Moser and Jennie Baranczyk. The one-hour program airs statewide from 7-8 p.m. on the Sooner Radio Network and is also broadcast on SoonerVision on ESPN+.

BRIAN BRINKLEY Play-by-Play 22nd season

Brian Brinkley is in his 22nd season handling radio play-by-play for OU women’s basketball.

The sports director for KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City, Brinkley has been at the station since 1990 when he began as a production assistant. He was a sports anchor and reporter from 1992 to 2015, and was the weekend sports anchor from 1996 to 2015.

Brian has received statewide attention for his reporting and anchoring. He is a three-time finalist for Oklahoma Sportscaster of the Year, and has been honored with two awards from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters for small market sports reporting and sportscasting.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Brinkley earned a Bachelor of Arts degree as a double major in journalism and philosophy.

Brinkley lives in Edmond with his wife and daughter.
