Hey!My name is JI YU-RU a.k.a Sophia,I come from Taiwan,I love illustration so much and I desire to learn more in the future!I feel that creation is part of life, there is no life without creation so everything I need is in life.I usually tell stories that I see and feel. All my feelings are represented by lines and color in my work. I hope that beautiful feelings and amazing spirit can turn into strong energy and pass to others through illustrations!

This is the first time I painted a children's book. It is about the main character Fin-Fin, who desire to be loved. At first, he thought that the owner who kept him represents love,but later Fin-Fin realized that love is not like this......after that,he sewed a pair of feet by himself and escaped the box to find the new owner who really loved him. I use the red on behalf of FINFIN's inner feelings which is so impulsive and eager to pursue the love in the story. I want to tell the viewers that you can rethink what is the most important thing in your heart.

3 21 This is another version of FINFIN! The same story but presented in a comic format. This process is very interesting, i changed the story teller to be FINFIN rather than me. In the comic,FINFIN can speak the words and tell the feelings, so that viewers can understand the feelings of FINFIN. The original illustration book only described the story with drawings but comics can have a continuous lens conversion, it is so cool!

This is one of my favorite movies "hangover", there are a lots of funny episodes in the plot and the role's behavior is really ridiculous. I use crayons, acrylic and pencil to present the film scenes, I choose my favorite part, like the giraffe head be cut off by highway or the scenes in Las Vegas,they are the best and the most famous scenes !

This collection was that I did for a competition"Project One" in Taiwan. The requirements for each participant should present the same number of works in the same size. The jury didn't regulate the theme of the paintings so I chose the daily themes which include my dreams and daily life observations. All they want is for you to show your talent. I am fascinated by the idea of time travel and was deeply affected by the movie-Interstellar! And gained sense that we are only a small point within space and time this concept influenced these paintings.

6 "Charlie & Puppy" for art festival
The art festival is an important activity in the Fine Arts Department.There will be a series of arts and crafts activities, such as film publishing, art market or secondhand selling. I am involved in the image design part, this is a story about letter and love! Because of a letter, Charlie meets Puppy and adopts him. After that ,Charlie's life became very happy and enriched, but someday Charlie got a letter that said he should return the Puppy......

"Goods Holiday" is a university activity where students give objects they nolonger want and donate them to the public. I was so glad to contribute to this meaningful event and designed the characters of each material category! Furthermore,my characters were made into stickers that were a gift in this event!

Blind contour drawing can inspire my creativity on the shape of illustration and it is also lots of fun! Blind contour drawing can be completed with my friends,looking at each other draw and exchanging our works we can see each other's own perspective. I found that I painted the facial features particularly high, it is too interesting to draw!
