“My family has lived and worked here for three generations, turning the grapes from our vineyards into wine.
Showing respect and giving value to that which is given to us every year is an endeavor that we renew with each season.’’ This is how Alberto Paltrinieri talks about his involvement in the world of wine. An involvement that has grown simultaneously to the popularity of Lambrusco in the world.
Today, Alberto and his wife Barbara with the precious help of oenologists Attilio Pagli and Leonardo Conti, take care and vintage wine 15 hectares of vineyards situated near the town of Sorbara in an area long-known as Il Cristo. This area consists of a thin strip of land extending between the Rivers Secchia and Panaro, which embrace the province of Modena.
The main indigenous varieties planted are Lambrusco Sorbara and Lambrusco Salamino for reds, trebbiano for white. The vineyards are managed with the spur pruning training system, soil is loose, sandy and fertile.
In the cellar you will come upon the balanced contrast between old tradition and modern production techniques. The fundamental operations of Sorbara’s wine tradition are here meticulously performed with all respect of the laws for environmental conservation and for the consumer’s health warranty.
Today, Paltrinieri’s wines, along with those made by other outstanding producers, represent the avant-garde of this wine now enjoyed world-wide - wines that have impressed traditional consumers and aroused enthusiasm in critics and gourmets. Following the range of Paltrinieri production, no mousse, still wine , Charmat method but Lambrusco.
