To the Creative Director at Northern Ballet, On behalf of the creative and administrative Leeds University Union Ballet Society, I am writing to you in the hope of potentially forging a working relationship with the Northern Ballet by the way of sponsorship and scholarship for our society members. As a long-established, creative, and, proudly, a hugely successful and popular society, we have been fortunate enough to develop in many ways throughout recent years to ensure that applications to the society are kept at an all-time high, which, consequently, has lead on to producing some of the most fantastic dancers over the multitude of classes and experience levels, as well as a seemingly infinite waiting list to join the society alone. Being based in Leeds, we have been fortunate, as a society and group, to watch your company’s work evolve and justifiably be renowned for the success and acclaim that each of the shows receive to this date. As aforementioned, with each year the level of ability and professionalism within each of our groups becomes more and more apparent, we would love the opportunity to build a working relationship with you. Through sponsorship and scholarship of the dancers of the Leeds University Union Ballet Society, our members could go on to lead profound, professional experience which will, inevitably, with motivation and ambition, as so many of our dancers currently demonstrate, lead them onto fantastic opportunities and potential careers outside of their chosen University degree, and prove to be a great way into the ballet and performance arts industry. Having a current ballet instructor having previously worked with you at Northern Ballet, we feel privileged to have gained further insight into the company and learn about your practice and sponsorship schemes, which we feel many of our society members would be perfect candidates for. Consequently, we would love to invite you along to our classes and Leeds University Union performance in the Spring which should enable you to get a personal response to our lessons and instruction, as well as some of the fantastic range of talent and ability which our society currently, and proudly, boasts. We would sincerely love to hear your thoughts on the matter, and any ideas you may have towards a potential relationship.
