About Me
I moved to Leeds in September 2010 from the (elusive) county of Shropshire (“It’s by Wales...”) to start my BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree at Leeds College of Art. Before starting the course, I had next to no experience within the industry or practice, but a real passion for Illustration, that I knew I wanted to pursue. Throughout my two years on the course so far, the amount I have learnt is incredible. I thrive off learning new skills and techniques and applying them within my own design practice every single day. At the start of my time on my degree, I wanted to be an Illustrator and nothing more. Now, there’s nothing more that I would like to be than a Graphic Designer.
Design Aspirations An independent and highly motivated worker, I have aspirations to work as either a freelance designer in my own right, or to work in a small design studio/co-operative of design professionals. Although I work most effectively within small groups, my ambitions are great, and I strive for great success within my design career.
The Future I am currently looking for work placements and Studio Visits throughout July and August 2012 to develop my understanding of the Industry, and continue to strengthen my network and connections both nationally and internationally. In July 2013, I will graduate from my BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree after three years of study.
