Blurred photography captures the direcAon of movement the person is going in. This type of technique gives a very sinister effect to the photo. The darkness around the photo makes us wonder about the unknown in the darkness.

Blurred photography suggests being out of control of your own body and mind. The mixed in tones of colour take away any detail that used to be their, erasing someone’s idenAty.

EvaluaAon My iniAal idea was to create experimental portrait photos that had a vintage aestheAc. I also wanted the photos to feel like they had a ghostly essence. I took the set of photos in an old mansion that sAll was in the same condiAon as it was many years ago. I wanted to create the effect that she was revisiAng the past and living the primadonna lifestyle. I then wanted to seem as if they had experienced a lot through their life. I did this by changing the seLngs on my camera and making the images blurred by movement. This gave a shadow effect, like a shell of herself. I wanted the images to have a aged look, so I printed the images out and crumpled them up. I then photocopied them a numerous Ames. This made the images lose colour giving them a vintage feel. Another way I aged some of the images was by covering the images in coffee and tea powder. This made the images lose saturaAon and have a eerie effect. This gives a mysterious effect and almost disguises the story behind it. The images suggest the girl wants to experience the life of a primadonna lifestyle and escape her life.
