Check that the iPad and its cover are in good condition when you receive it and when you hand it over. Listen carefully to instructions given by your teacher. Wait until your teacher tells you before unlocking the iPad. Use the iPad on the table unless otherwise instructed by your teacher. Do not eat or drink in the place where you are using the iPad. Use the iPad with neatness. Respect turns to use the iPads. Use the iPads just for the activities requested by your teacher. Use your time with the iPad wisely. Respect the settings (background, language, keyboard, Internet, moving or deleting apps, etc.) Use the camera with responsibility and respect your classmates image, as well as the image of other members of our community. Respect the information or work saved in the iPad by other members of the school community. If you finish the activity, return the iPad. When you’re done using the iPad, close everything that you used: a. Websites b. Activities within the apps c. Applications Lock the iPad before returning it.
In the event that any of these points is not met, the iPad will be taken away by the teacher.
Mobile Lab User Guidelines - Teachers 1. Upon reception of the mobile lab check that the equipment is complete and in good condition and sign the form: a. iPads and covers b. Video adapter c. AP d. USB with adapter e. Chargers 2. Set up the AP and test the Internet connection on an iPad. 3. Provide clear instructions and give examples using the iPad connected to the projector. 4. Tell the group how they’re expected to work (individually, in pairs, in teams, in work centers, etc.) and how they should manage the time and take turns. 5. Assign an iPad to each student, pair or team and register the number of the one they got. They will need to keep getting the same iPad every time until the activity is completed. a. If some students will not be using iPads at a given time, make sure to assign them a different activity. 6. Supervise that the students meet all the points of the mobile lab user guidelines for students. Establish a fitting consequence if any rules are broken. 7. Get the iPads at the end of the activity by number, starting with the lowest one. Check the state they’re in as you get them. 8. Make sure that the group stays in order until you finish receiving the iPads. Accidents or misbehavior are more likely to occur during this process if there’s noise and children are standing up. 9. Bring the Mobile Lab to the designated room and request that the teacher checks it and signs the form. a. If your coach or someone from the Tech and Support staff picks up the iPads directly from your room, request that they sign the form as well.
